are your ground 5/8 rod's going into granite/pink quartz? ( solid or decompositing and or gravel pit ) as my liathan rod got stuck 5ft of 20ft and i haven't started my other rod yet and or im not sure that the corded one i rended that it had the oof/or a wore out pig
BTW my local area 3 electrician's turned down the job as they thought it is to hard to finish and unprofitable, and i don't mind the sweat equity but im not willing to waste tools money and time as im looking for something that works efficiently and a excavator doesn't really work all that well in that spot with a regular bucket as my contactor for earth moving had a devilish challenge of putting in my contut trench 3 to 5 feet down
@@aroundthehomesteadwithsuer3497 hum i tried angling ( and plum strat down and foot or 2 over = 3-4ft ) the non drill tripped 5/8" rod and a BFH fence driver ( 50 or so LB's ) no luck 3ft down is all i got then it tried mushrooming 🍄 the head of the rod . my soil is loamy 1ft-d next 2-6ft-d hard gravel and sand-ish that my state used to mine next to me/next door after that im guessing it's solid ish pink quartz or hard granite that some of the older buildings in my SLC ut 🇺🇸 ish area's used for construction materials. good thing about this plot is it's on the foothills so really hard to flood me out as drainage as grate

Sandstone is generally a soft stone, like ledge. We have not tried drilling sandstone with this drill but my assumption would be that it would do well since it handled the ledge with no issues.

We have gravel pit style soil and then solid bedrock. We sometimes have to drive them at an angle due to bedrock
