Leaf RV Park, New Agusta, Mississippi
A basic, convenient(if slightly odd?) stop over in Mississippi with a nice general store near by. One of our strangest experiences with check in at an RV park. We didn't see the owners until several days into our stay and were not really given directions as to what to do on arrival. Affordable and quiet pull through sites with a safe feel make this a nice stop over. Lack of activities in the area and low amenities mean this is not a desitination campground.

An economy switch can easily be added to this unit. Remove the four security screws in the front panel and an unused plug with a gray and white wire will be revealed. Cut off the connector and add a switch. Switch on and economy mode is off. Switch off and economy mode is on.

I know I’m 3 years late. I’m getting ready to do my rockers too. That vacuum sensor is for the brakes to alert you the vacuum pump out put is low. You don’t need it you only loose your anti lock brakes. Nobody makes the sensor anymore. If you do toss it remove the abs computer under the dash or pull the abs light in the panel.

Three things and a note: 1) You shouldn't trust the flares that come on the line set. Get a flaring tool and look up how to do flares. It's pretty easy, but if you end up with a leak it's probably going to be on these flare connections, so it's easily worth the investment. The flares that came on my line set weren't as high quality as ones I made with my new tools. 2) Get an torque wrench with a spanner head. The flare nuts have to be torqued a specific amount. Too loose and they'll leak, too tight and you'll crush the copper too much and they'll leak. Again, given how crucial these connections are, it's worth the investment. My 9K unit needed about 14ftlb on the small line, and 26ftlb on the bigger one. I used a crow foot adapter, which is fine on a torque wrench as long as it's positioned 90 degrees from the lever arm. That being said, it was a huge pain and I wish I'd gotten one with a digital readout on the handle. 3) You don't want to coil excess line vertically, because it creates oil traps. Either coil them horizontally or else trim the line to the right size and redo the flares. There is a minimum length you can't go under which should be listed in the install manual. If you have to coil, coil them horizontally. As a final note, when he puts a couple pounds of pressure in the system before disconnecting the vacuum gauge, that's going to cause refrigerant to come hissing out when you disconnect the vacuum gauge. It's kind of obvious if you think about it. As an experiment, try vacuuming down your lines, disconnecting the gauge, then immediately reconnecting the gauge. You'll hear the hiss when you disconnect and once you're reconnected, no more vacuum. While loosening the connector, there is no longer a seal, but the little protrusion allowing the valve to open is still holding the valve open. So there's a path between the atmosphere and the lines. By putting more pressure in the system than in the atmosphere, that split second when you're disconnecting the gauge blows refrigerant out instead of sucking air (and worse, moisture) into the system. It's kind of like bleeding your brake lines. It avoids contamination. As much of a "duh" this might seem, as a DIYer at the end of a new project and a long day my brain was operating on a simple mode: Refrigerant stays in. It doesn't go out. So when I went to disconnect the gauge I see refrigerant hissing out all over and I go "WTF?! I did everything perfectly!" then immediately tighten the gauge back up. I reread everything. I rewatch the videos. "What did I do wrong?". I fiddle with the hex nuts, thereby needlessly adding more pressure into the system. I try disconnecting again. Spraying refrigerant. "WTF?!". Eventually I just say "Screw it" and take the damn thing off. By hesitating, it took me three attempts, losing refrigerant each time from a system with unnecessarily high pressure for this step. All of that to say: When you put a teensy bit of pressure in the system and disconnect your gauge, it's going to leak refrigerant. That's not in the video, but it's normal. Just barrel ahead and get that gauge off as fast as possible and you'll only lose an insignificant amount. Wears gloves and goggles just out of an abundance of caution.

Hello! Thank you very much for your videos. I'm in the middle of a swap. My base is a Jeep CJ7 (the front differential is on the passenger side) with a 5.3 LS engine and a 4L60 gearbox. Due to the side of the vehicle where the front differential is located, I chose to use an NP208 transfer case (1986 Bronco) and it uses a wire speedometer (analog type). What type of sensor should I use? I don't know how to adapt the speed sensor receiver from the wiring harness that goes to the PCM. did you have this problem? How would they solve it? thanks in advance.

The old technology used a huge transformer internally, almost every manufacturer has moved to what is being called High Frequency but what that means in a nutshell is that instead of a single inverter and HUGE autotransformer they use a very small light weight transformer on the output of two inverter sections and reduce weight. The High Frequency uses a lot better switching electronics and switches at a much higher frequency allowing for more efficiency and high surge ratings.

2500 running watts only allows for continuous 20.8 amps. A standard RV ac unit (13500 BTU) needs about 18 amps to run. You probably don't have enough generator to run everything. What you're seeing is a overloaded generator. Should have got the 3300 watt generator. Don't size a generator at or near 100 % running capacity shoot for about 50%.

The cord may "Look" Shady as hell but as a licensed professional I can assure you electrically it is perfectly fine. I would not use it long term as it has no water resistance in any way but for a test the proper size wire nuts on the twisted wire connections is perfectly sound and common practice. I would venture a guess the house you are currently in has many connections made the same way. Plenty safe and perfectly capable of handling the current with no issues. Again we would not run it for anything more than a test but it is perfectly capable of handling the current and would not add to the issue of the generator not being any good.

You may note we figured out early on in the video this generator was used. It had gas in it, it had oil in it, the box was double taped. Simple fact is this particular model has a ton of online reviews showing its a lemon. The predecessor of this model was rock solid from what we can read online. Either way we are super happy with our harbor freight inverter generator, and it does what we need done so all is well that ends well. We were very shocked to see a used generator in stock in Lowes with GAS in it. You're telling me they do not check returns and just thrown them on the shelf? Morral of that story look for double tape on the box and investigate before you drive 3hrs to find its a lemon.

That doesn't even make sense to me... What I want to do is protect 3 strings of 240v micro-inverters (that combine to feed a long 240v line to the main), from any surge from the grid or from some malfunctioning appliance on that line. @@aroundthehomesteadwithsuer3497i ran through the exact same issue. Fresh o-ringed head. My block was within spec, but definitely not as flat as a fresh deck. I didn't have the time or money to pull the engine and deck it. I did do the hot re-torque. My head gasket eventually leaked. Head studs got hit by coolant, corroded and started snapping. So I got to do it all over again! This time I did the whole bottom end.
