  • Fixing a code P02646. Replacing a Valve Timing oil pressure switch. The code will also accompany a drop in speed while car is in motion. This could also come from one of those STP cheap oil filters blocking the oil from flowing free. Side note never uses the lower price STP filter on any car.

    This video is straight to the point and clear! I wish all videos were like this! Only correction to make that it's 22mm not inch socket, but we can figure that out lol

    I have an 4 cylinder Accord Tourer 2.4 vtec year 2003; do you know how many oil pressure switches it has? I'm talking about the P0700, automatic transmission pressure switch. Thank you!

    My mother-in-law's also got a 2003 Accord with the 2.4L and only 115000 miles on it. I've been having to add a quart of oil to it every 400 miles. Have you had that problem with yours?

    • @LetsFixIT
      @LetsFixIT  6 років тому +1

      This car had that problem when it was new. Took it back to dealer and did a test on it. She didn't push the issue . It eventually missed to engine up.

      My mother-in-law's car has had excessive oil consumption since before I started looking after it, which was about 2 yrs ago when my father-in-law became terminally ill. When I first checked the oil at about 100k miles, it was 2 quarts low, barely registered on the dipstick end (where's the oil-level warning sensor? my '87 Mustang's got one). Sad part is my in-laws have had the oil changes performed routinely by the dealer where they bought the car new. I remember my father-in-law saying he was going to finally buy a car that he wasn't going to have to work on all the time. SMH. I just changed the spark plugs over this weekend. The car started throwing P0303, with P0301 & 302 pending. On the #3 plug, the ground electrode and the threads were black, and the center electrode's insulator had some sort of white crusty deposit on it. Perhaps that's the cylinder that's causing the oilconsumption issue. The other plugs looked good for ones with 115k miles on them.

      I know, this car game will keep you buying tools. May I suggest Harbor Fright.

      Lets Fix IT i think you meant 22mm in the video but it’s all good. I actually used this video to change my own sensor out! Appreciate it. But nah I’m an aviation mechanic so a box full of harbor freight will relegate you in that business

      @@Spachia ya 22mm your right. If I youtube was paying better money I would worry more about detail. .......
