This has to be one of the best videos I have ever seen on UA-cam for crafters. The techniques were clear and your camera shots were professional. Hi Tammy and thank you for commenting. I will try to explain why I make a thing and then cover it with something else. Nothing in my art journal is fully planned from the beginning. The general idea is in my head but as I go along I change things to make them work better, until I am pleased. I do not cut it out when I video edit since I think that has it's value... to see the whole process. To your StazOn question... sorry, never used it so I can't tell. I guess you should try!
Hi Becky and thanks for commenting. I don't use anything more that you saw me using on the video. Truth is they don't stick... never had that problem... no idea how to help you here. Do you think it has to do with humidity of the place you live? Out of ideas here.... sorry!

hi, I am just using gel medium ... the one I use to stick things on top of my pages. It dries quickly and I don't get the "wet effect". Just don't use too thick layers!

Thank you for commenting. I have a general idea of what I am about to do on the pages. I decide on the theme and the quote or the stamps I'll be using. Although most of the time I change plans while working. It's too difficult to plan everything since you don't really know how the colors and techniques are going to look... but that's the beauty of it!!!!

Greece has all four seasons, it's not an exotic place...although it's hot in the summer with lots of beaches and tons of islands to visit ;) But we do get autumn and winter with cold and snow. Oh, WOW, Vicky...I LOVED this one! I loved the other one, also. Each one has it's own personality, and awesomeness. Personally, I didn't think the video was too lengthy, I could have watched and enjoyed it twice as long. It's so much fun to watch you create. I don't do Art Journaling, (yet), but I AM inspired with ideas for cards!
This was not too long at all. I loved watching you create the page and have tagged it into my playlists. I'll have to watch it a couple more times to make sure I didn't miss any of these techniques. It turned out beautifully! Patti

Love the leaves and thanks for the vine technique! Always something to learn to do with the stuff we already have. The leaves were very interesting.

So beautiful and NOT too long. All the elements were lovely. The "vines" really were the final touch that just added a little whimsy and made me smile. I love seeing your art journal pages. I vote for MORE of them. Thank you
Oh my gosh! You did so many different techniques that I've never seen before! The first one you did that impressed me so much was adding the stamps on the leaves that weren't exact matches to them. Brilliant! Adding Glossy Accent to the twine and wrapping it around the pencil (or whatever it was) was another awesome idea! I could go on, but just know this is one of my very favorite pages EVER!!

I stumbled on this gem today 10-20-2022... there are so many tips and tricks. Loved the pumpkins and adding script to the background. It took them to a whole different level. Very nice!

Fall is my favorite time of year and even tho here (it's March 2015 in southern Alabama in the United States) we are about to have Spring, I always love Fall colors and textures. Love this layout! Enjoyed the voice over and the whole process. Thanks for sharing as always!
This is adorable! As I watch you begin I question how you cover everything with so much paint that is all so dark in the background. But somehow you create the most extraordinary pages.Congrats! Vicky, I loved this video! What a great way to color fall leaves and I love your color choices. When you painted the words "FALL" you said you used a crackle paint, but I didn't see any crackles afterwards...did it just not show up on the video? Just love those pumpkins. I am confined to bed at the moment so am watching a lot of UA-cam. We don't make a big thing of fall (Autumn) here in Queensland, Australia. However I can still try a similar page. It won't be half as good as yours though.thanks for sharing.

Oh I just love this creation! I didn't realize it was from 7 years ago! I have a collection of leaves that I have picked up from outside in different areas including Florence Italy where I used to live. I have them saved dried in between book sheets. I paint them in gold or silver usually I have also painted in bronze and gold and they come out really nice. I just love leaves in any shape or form...🍂🍃

I love your work and I'm learning many technics from you, I also love your camera position and it has a great image resolution, comparing to many other artists in the youtube channels your is the best! What kind of camera do you use? And where exactly is it positioned? Do you have it on a tripod?
This is the first video of yours that I've seen. It's been so fun watching you create - by going step-by-step you are demystifying the creative process just a little bit. I'm amazed at how naturally and effortlessly color and composition comes to you. I also take away from viewing this that art takes time and patience.

Vicki this is so stunning. We have only begun our fall here and the leaves are about halfway through turning their beautiful color. I only wish I could attempt making a page this beautiful. Vicky I loved watching this page come together. Not sure I understand doing one thing only to cover it up with another. But I wanted to ask you, you use archival ink so you can use water and stuff later. Can you do the same with staz on ink. Or will it bleed and ruin. Thanks so much for sharing. I was so thrilled to see you do this series on art journal pages. This one is stunning - but I still love the book one you did (I'm an avid reader!) Wonderful fall colors and beautiful layout! As always you do a fabulous job! When you stamped the leaves with Tim Holtz, did you use his mini blueprint set or the full size blueprint? You list both in your supply list and I can't tell which you actually used. Or did you use both? Again, love your video!

Vicky you made a comment in your voice over of this video that perhaps it was a little too long - your videos are never too long for me. I just watch each and everyone of them and will go back and start all over again for continued inspiration, tips and to remember what kind of paints I should be using on this or that!!! AMAZING! The color's are always so beautiful. My favorite color is orange. I always look forward to fact there will be many beautiful orange pumpkins out during the fall. Do the leaves turn colors in Greece and does the weather get cooler also?
