Thanks for another informative video! Can you recommend an app / website to predict dark sky conditions based on location - ideally for the whole month to make planning easier? I recently spent 10 hours out in the cold in a remote location trying to take a photo of the ZTF comet - only to realise the Moon will set at 4am 😅
@@LateNightAstronomy was able to see it early this morning here in the SF Bay area now that it finally stopped raining! Definitely not a whole lot of detail yet, it was about as bright as Andromeda and I could see the green tint. I got a couple decent pictures, thanks again!
Totally random and unrelated question. I've noticed that in your deep-sky photos, most of your stars are red. Is that your way of watermarking your photos or is it just personal preference?
Thank you for breaking this down so even an amateur can understand the best way to view the night sky
You're very welcome
Great video! Thanks for the monthly info.
Glad it was helpful! Stop back by for the February video next week!
Love your videos! Thanks for this.
Glad you like them!

The moon is INCREDIBLE over the countryside here especially those huge super moons!
It's an underrated object in the night sky.
Thanks Michael
Anytime!
Nice i jist order a 10" bresser dob and the svbony gold okular set. So will be intresting to find that comet :)
Best of luck to you!
Can’t wait to get out this month!!!
Me too!
Is anyone curious how big the meteor shower is going to be when earth passes through this new comet’s path?
Interesting question. I haven't seen anything about that. My guess is the path of ZTF won't have earth pass through the debris of its tale.
Thanks for putting this together, I'm excited to try and observe comet ztf with my telescope!
Good luck to you. It should be great sight.

@@elefja1 Thanks for your observing report. I'll be out trying to see and image it later this month! Keep up the great work!

Also, thanks for covering the comet. I have been waiting on more info about that online for several months now.
That's interesting to my eye, monitor and phone I don't see that. I'll have to check on that.
Glad you enjoyed it!

I really appreciate that! Thanks for your support!
More videos are welcome.
More to come!
Good preview, thanks. I had a marvelous naked eye look at Orion during Christmas.
I bet that was a great sight!
