Regarding the "female led" BS, I think Vivian is a straight-out fujoshi who lets her bias get in the way of every story. There's nothing wrong with some fetishizing, but when that's the point in itself character development suffers. She likes cute/sexy boys more than anything, so that's the motivating force behind the narrative. Female characters feel like an afterthought because they kind of are. She could own it, but it would be a bad look, hence the hypocrisy of her claim. Vivian needs solid writers to bring her character designs to life. I wish she relied on other creators more. Edit: in the last third of the show, which wasn't out when I wrote this, they DID do some development for some of the female characters! There's still a long way to go, but I have my fingers crossed that they'll improve in this area.
She always was a fujo, everyone was worried the dudes were going to get sidelined cause of that statement but I knew damn well that wasn't gonna be the case and that Alastor and Angel were still gonna get more then Vaggie
I agree though I think Charlie is like 3rd or 4th most developed character, she does get some character moments like in episode 4(Angel Dust centric episode but she did get some moments there) then she finally gets some focus on episode 5 and 6.
@@MILDMONSTER1234 What's the opposite of fujo? 😅 Also yeah I suspected she'd sideline female characters even in Hazbin Hotel but I hoped atleast Charlie and Vaggie would get more before Angel and Al takes it all. Also potentially maybe in S2/3 Lilith and Eve and Roo(Roo might just be corrupted Eve) will get huge spotlight as female characters
@@danielsurvivor1372 She is, but I think none of the female characters belongs on the top 3 so far in terms of development. I hope this changes, though!
I think their gonna kill angel dust... HEAR ME OUT the way they could go about it is by making angel dust come back as a angel (crazy) and that would show that he was redeemed but had to be killed to get to heaven.. It could also explain what might happen when you die in hell.... But that's just a theory
I really hated this version of Hazbin Hotel. If this was my work, I would have hated it too. So tired of woke Hollywood. So much censorship. At least episode 4 was better but still censored. Plus 16+ for an adult show? That was insane.

I don’t understand why she doesn’t just have it all male at this point, like if you don’t want to write for women then don’t have women

I hate the show too. It was painfully unfunny.
