As a new woman rider with very similar physical dimensions (5'3", 31" inseam, 21" arms, 145 lbs), I just want to post that I am *very* appreciative of your expert moto opinions!! In just a year I've bought 2 mid-sized cruisers and am eager to upgrade to my 1st bagger for longer distance adventures. I caught the bug big time & its so hard to find reviews FOR and FROM women. So Thank You!! 😍
Appreciate this comment more than ill be able to put into words! Thank YOU! :)
Great honest review! I traded my 18 RG with over 50 k on it for the new 24 RG. FOR ME TOTALLY WORTH IT! went from the 107 to 117, with the up grades. now my 24 standard RG is basically the same as the 23 CVO RG for half the cost. I kept my old tour pack, having it painted to match the Whiskey Fire ❤..suspension is pretty good! had aftermarket suspension on my 18. really don't see me changing this out. For me, the seat is an improvement however I will be changing mine to the Mustang, riding those over 200k,those are my jam. lol probably will throw some Tabs on it and KST Spearhead bars in 10". looking forward to crushing some miles, pretty I'm 2.5 times your age, lol.. Appreciate your videos. Ride safe...
One of the best reviews out there. Good job! Noticed from you videos that you are a good rider. Ride Safe
Thank you!
What a great review. Thank you for puttin in the miles for us. Currently ride a '21 Sport Glide and will upgrade at the end of '25 to a Low Rider ST or newly designed Road Glide. I am 5'8" 230lbs and really appreciate the Soft tail for the same reasons you do. "Nimble"
Excellent detailed review! Thank you! I really like this bike.
Fantastic review and really informative! Thank you
Thank you!
I had a 2014 Street Glide Special which I got shortly after my retirement. I had hoped to be touring with it often but it turned out to be such a harsh riding bike on long trips, it killed my back. I wanted to love the bike I even had the rear shocks upgraded on the recommendation of my mechanic, but it didn’t help one bit. I finally traded it on a 2019 BMW R1250GS, which I love. The only upgrade I did on the BMW was to add handle bar risers to bring the bars back closer to me by 2”s. I’m also short 5’ 4” 163 lbs. with 28” inseam and backing up is challenging at times. Thanks for the well done review!
🤘
I met guy up the coast with new RG. I lurked it and checked it out. It was almost perfect. HD killed it. 🤘⚡️🤘✨✨✨✨
Nice!! You should ride one! I think you’d love rippin through the sierras on one!! 😎 Maybe not today though. Sounds like it’s a little frosty out there 😂❄️☃️
@@ridetofood 10’ of snow. ❄️ we’re going to zig zag all the passes this summer should be fun.
Not a HD guy, but I like your videos. The way you speak is very calming. Maybe you should become a Mental Therapist :) At this price level, this bike should have included 1) Power Windscreen 2) Electronic Suspension 3) Heated front and rear seats 4) Quickshifter or DCT option. That cable clutch is terrible in city traffic. 5) Better tires like Michelin Road 5 or 6. Those old Dunlops with the same tread pattern have been around for decades.
👍👍
Good review, I’m enjoying your winter riding
Thanks! 👍
Great review. Your videos are just easy to watch. I’m a fan 💯
Thank ya!
The explanation is very good,,,and happy birthday stacii,,🎉
Thank you!!
Yet another great video, very well presented, and also Perfect timing. We are in day 2 of a 3 day snowstorm so I have something to watch.
(I also used Sport and rain mode that week in Phoenix.)
I will be in Deadwood in late May and have a friend I would like to visit in Green River WY and then another group I ride with will be in Great Falls MT that week. Looking at your website to plot a route. I have a Pan Am but will be avoiding the interstate as much as possible. Thanks for all the advice and info😎
Great video and review
Great review and video, you always are upfront. You and MotoBlonde love your lowriders, I think it's great, ride what you want after all you paid for it.
Of all the bike reviewer’s I’ve watched , I think you did an excellent and honest review. First time watching your channel but it won’t be the last, I’m subscribing . I do realize it’s ride to food but your attitude and personality won me over.
Thank you! 😊
Good stuff, super helpful. Thanks! 👍🏾
I love your videos. This was great. Thank you!
Thank you!
You do such a fantastic job. I love watching your content. Stay safe and God bless!
Thank you! Appreciate the kind words!
Beautiful. Great video as always. Thank you!
Thanks!
It is so nice to hear a real biker talking about the bike. Well done Stasi and big thanks!!!
Thank ya!
Good review Thanks!
Thanks for another great video 👍👍
Great video! I’m looking hard at the new RG. going to wait a year or so for HD to work the bugs out. But I’m very impressed with what I’ve seen thus far.
Great review😊
I'm picking mine up on my birthday the 31st of March 🤘
SWEEEEET!!! congrats!!!
Great honest review.
Thank you! 🤘
Great “seat of the pants” review. Thanks for sharing. 👍
Excellent review. Just the information I was looking for; especially for someone similar sized.
Yay! 🤘
Thanks for this review Staci, very good, well-argued explanations and a balanced overall opinion which takes into account different possible factors...
And I quite agree with you overall to say that today at my age and given my use I prefer the Softail chassis of my 2020 FXLRS which is much more fun and easier to live with on a daily basis...
I may also look at the FXLRST which could be more comfortable and practical for me...
In my opinion the Low Rider in its S or ST version is really my favorite model in the range...
well done, the way you did the review is as good or better than just about anyone on you tube. not to mention you were honest about the things you didnt use, or know.
Thank you!!
Thank you for your honest review! I found it valuable, since I too fall under the "short" rider umbrella.
Glad it was helpful!
Great review! I'm on a break from H-D, but I have this recurring dream where I sell my Triumph Daytona and get a Road Glide; this was another nudge in that direction. Always love your work. 😁
There is absolutely nothing wrong with my 2020 Street Glide standard. It’s been lightly modified to fit my touring riding, and has lots of life left. That said, these new touring bikes are making me envious….
I get it!
I think I’m getting old and don’t really like the amount of electronics, love my analog gauges. That being said, the thing I most definitely consider an essential mod to the RG standard are the rear shocks. It’s night and day, I put Legends 13 inches. The stock ones are absolute jarring (literally).
Right. My 19 RGUltra is great but I’m looking 😅
I personally think I am going to let the new RG mature a year or two and get all the gremlins worked out. I bought the first year M8 in 2017, and I got a lot of hands on experience with the oil transfer issues and the clutch actuator recalls. Great job on the honest and comprehensive review Staci and I hear that Happy Birthday wishes are in order. Thanks once again.
Thanks Wayne! I think that’s a fair reason to wait a few more years! 😎🤘
I feel your pain. Went through the same. Threw in a 128 Big Bore Stage 4 kit and it's been a solid engine since. Just renewed my extended warranty to get another five years and then maybe I might step onto a newer motorcycle. I like spending time on the road, not in the shop.
👍🏻
I saw you yesterday in Bisbee. Just wanted to say you are making great content
Aw thank you so much! Hope you had all the fun this weekend!!
Always a great job. The inseam and arm lengths is awesome for us that are shorter in stature.
Hi love your videos, your always such a positive person . I just purchased a new 24 roadglide in sharkskin blue but since I am in northern alberta canada I can't ride it for a bit yet. Great video, keep up the good work lady 🙂
Congrats on the new bike!!! And thank you for the kind words!
Congrats on the new Glide
Thanks for the review! I'm going to upgrade from 2021 RG in a couple of years for the new suspension.
Awesome! I think you’ll love it when the time is right!! 🤘
Thanks so much for a great run-down on the HD tourer! But, more importantly, thanks for encouraging more riders to get out and not be worried about bigger bikes and touring bikes! I want more people out there with me on the road enjoying everything that long distance riding can offer. I've been steering more and more people to your channel as they start to ask about riding a larger bike. Finally, does the HD Road Glide make a trip to a Chicken and Waffle House the best ride ever?! Thanks again!
Damn that headlight seems brighter than the ones on my truck😂 The screen and all the new tech scares me but it’s an impressive bike nonetheless!
Geeeze I watch all your vids and idk what it is but you look absolutly gorgeous in this one. Great review!
hopefully my appearance in videos isn't your key focus cause that'd be real weird 😅
Great job with the follow up, I’m still dreaming of a Pan America as an adventure rider :) But I would sure love to ride the crap out of a Road glide !
Great review. I own an 08 SG that has been upgraded mechanically and has a full tour pack. My wife rides with me and we go on a lot of rides and spend a week in Maggie Valley. Although I would love a new SG its not in my budget so I keep this one in great shape. Love my sunburst red.. I bought a GARMIN GPS just have to figure out how to download my maps. I am 62yrs young and have riden all sorts of bikes. This is my favorite... Thanks for the review, one can always dream lol
Thanks for the review! Just found your channel and subscribed! I'm 49 out in Washington state and was looking for my first touring bike after years of sport bikes. I took the Road Glide Limited for a test ride last week... as well as the Indian Pursuit. Both were nice... and ended up going to my HD dealership yesterday and getting the 2024 Road Glide. I'm a tech geek and the Infotainment center was actually a big plus. I went with the same bike you're on in this video... the Alpine Green with chrome and then immediately added $18k in upgrades... LOL... Tour pack... Stage 2... Seat... Grips... Wheels... 2 into 1... audio upgrade in front and saddlebags... and a few more. There wasn't a green bike in the entire dealership... I'm getting this one via a dealer swap and should pick it up in the next 7-10 days once the parts arrive and everything is installed. I'm super pumped... my first HD and it's going to be unique!
Awesome!!! Congrats on your new bike! You’re gonna love it!!
End of video comment: totally enjoyed your q and a format. Chance of me buying this bike = 0 but the info was awesome. Do your thing, I'll probably watch and like.
haha I totally get it. thank you!
Thanks for the comparisons. I’m much older and don’t think I would handle a big heavy Road Glide like that very well but I tried the Pan America and it was quite manageable and very comfortable with that long travel so that’s the one I would pick even though I don’t plan on touring off road.
Really liked your review, definitely touched all aspects of the bike. You certainly hit upon one aspect that I don’t find appealing about either the SG or RG and that’s the infotainment system. For me, (and from the sounds of it you too)it’s a waste having speakers on a bike because as you stated it really hard to hear at highway speeds! I prefer having all my audio stream to my helmet. However, having that big screen to display navigation would much nicer than a phone. I would much rather have the space of the speakers to use as another storage space.
Thank you for this video ! You gave a lot of information really useful for me ! I’m a short rider, I’m going to ride this bike in September to go around Las Vegas, I hope I will reach the kickstand 😅 😂.
Buying a bagger is really something I wish, to have it for long rides with my son (my dream cvo road glide st).
Thanks again for all the content you create 🎉
Glad it was helpful!!!!
I sat on one at the dealer yesterday. I agree about the handle bars - the position felt just right. The seat however felt like a cinder block, but I’m used to the Limited seat. They had that green on a Street Glide - it’s much darker in person compared to what is on the website. I like it, but I’ll be keeping my ‘21 bit longer. Ride to Brisket!
Great review, l love your style and easy delivery. Only shock for me was you weren’t into Car play. I have a 2020 street Glide and can’t live without Car Play…phone hook-up, messages, and my playlist, all with verbal commands…the bomb. But to each their own. I’m 77 years old and have a 28 inch inseam, so Street Glide is better for me, but definitely identified with your small person comments…thanks again. I’m am in San Diego, and been in 33 states, and 6 Provinces of Canada including a cross country ride to Nova Scotia and really love riding in your state. I visited Leadville for the first time, last year…what a kick! Keep up the good work….PS my 15 year old granddaughter loves your channel as well.
Thank ya for the kind words!!! I’m definitely on team CarPlay! Just didn’t care for the extra steps to make it work in this situation hah!
It is a pain that you have to create an extra connection for it to work but I also would really miss it if I had a bike without CarPlay
Nice rundown.. Im with you, Pan Am! Waiting for your PA purchase ☺
We will both be waiting for a while bc I can’t afford one right now 😂 might be able to swing a tenere soon though
I would never buy a HD but I love your videos so much I still watched the entire review. Nicely done!
Haha thank you!!
That was a great review. I say that because I had already watched the previous videos on this bike. Honestly, I feel you, as an individual, are highly adaptive. Folks of our stature have a tendency to develop that early. I can relate to so much of your content on this drop that feel the only differences between us is gender and age. Thank you for sharing!
Quality review. You’re also one of the reasons I keep looking at low riders because even though I ride a touring bike all the time my inner self wants that lighter, quicker feel of a low rider st. Lol
Hahaha yesssss get one!!!
I'm with you on the softtails. I came off of a 08 Goldwing and bought a 22 Heritage (my first Harley) and it is so nimble and easy to ride. I also own a 17 Kawasaki Versys 1000 and have owned many other metrics and other than the Goldwing they all have terrible seats and my Heritage is quite comfortable to me. I want to keep my Heritage a while, but i like the looks if the RG and may have to test ride one. Great review.
I test rode the 24 Street Glide and a 23 Road Glide a month ago. The 24 had a better suspension. The one “issue” I had was feet placement and getting my feet on the floor boards and I have a 21 Sport Glide with pegs. Considering getting a Road Glide in a few years.
Agreed on the external speakers usability. I can not hear much of nothing with my helmet on. The Cardo with 40mm speakes can blast the tunes way louder than any speaker setup. The external audio should be an option on my '24 Street Glide.
👍👍
Great review! Thanks for telling us your hight and weight for comparisons. I would love to have a street glide but at 5'7 a 800 lb bike is just to cumbersome for me. I think the soft tails don't get enough credit especially the low rider and heritage which I feel are excellent touring bikes for smaller riders.
Watch the Ride Like a Pro UA-cam channel, he teaches riders how to lose their fear of heavyweight touring bikes.
Hi Staci thank you so much for for Explaining things you Awesome Amazing Person ❤😊
1st, Happy day late Birthday! 2nd thank you for another well layed out review! I have to keep telling myself I dont need one of these new ones yet after paying mine off and the thousands I've spent making it the way I want it. Arrrrrg! 😂
Hahaha thank you!
Trust me I know the feeling 😂
You’ve become one of my favorite UA-cam creators.
Thank you! Appreciate the kind words
@@ridetofood the only thing is I eat more.
Great review, and thanks for the info.....but no food, not even a snack!😊
That’s what the last few videos were for!
The difference between the ST and the RG standard is $19,000 CDN. I bought the standard one and did some upgrades and ended up with a better suspension, almost as much power and better ergonomic with a handlebar/riser change. I still saved thousands.
Glad you found what made ya happy!!
Me and you have the same dimension at 5'4" and a 30 inch inseam and arm length. Iinteresting to say you prefer the lowrider over the touring bikes as I just upgraded from a lowrider s to a streetglide ST and the lowrider to me felt more top heavy but feel like the same size bike. The touring bike is wider and the lowrider is taller so both bike had me on the balls of my feet with stock suspension. loved the review and keep up the great work!!!
It’s all personal preference! Glad you found what works for you, though! Enjoy! 🤘🤘
Well Spoken, Well Done!
🤘 thank ya!
I absolutely love my Indian Challenger. Keep up!!!
Congrats!
@@ridetofood Your content, editing, and subjects are great. I wont miss a video!
Yeah love your work come down under take u on some great rides East cost NSW.
i'll visit australia one day!
@@ridetofood if ya come down to Aus u can stay with me and wife should be able to find a moto 4 u
Love your Axel Co. cap! The only thing I have to ask is if you had fun riding like you always seem to? If you did then I'm happy for you!
Haha if I’m not having fun I promise you will be able to tell!
Could listen to your accent all day 👌✌️🏴
lol I didnt even realize I have one!
Hi, what about foot controls? Are further away than those on the Softail Heritage? thanks and enjoy :)
They’re very different motorcycles but I would say they’re similar
I have a 2017 FLHXS in hard candy hot red flake and love it. I took out a 2024 SG last week and it was so much more nimble and felt much lighter than just 18 lbs, it's really fun to drive. I felt cramped because i'm 6 2 and have a tall boy on my current bike. I assume that will be similar with the same seat. One weird thing i noticed was that i kept missing the shifter. Not sure if it's closer to the bike than my current one, or it's just related to where i'm sitting with the factory seat?
I tried the auto mode and almost dumped my wife, some serious power lol
hahah sounds like you enjoyed it!! yeah, the new bikes are much more nimble, I agree! Rider ergos could be different for you since you're a bit taller but I'm not sure.
The way you explained it. To me performance wise it’s not enough to compete with Indian Challenger, considering it has 117 engine, and Indian challenger has only 108.
To anyone that disagree, I’m not loyal to any bike brand. I just happened to have both Harley Davidson and Indian touring bikes and I’m having fun with both. If l were to trade my older HD definitely 2024 RG.
ive never been given the opportunity to ride an indian so i'm not going to give any input on this comment lol but if you enjoy older HD models you will definitely enjoy the new touring bikes. much more nimble with more than enough power for most folks
I've only sat on the new road glide but it felt very wide for my hips. I could tell sitting on it would be comfy on long rides but stop and go traffic and having to be at a red slight would suck for me. I'm 5'7 but most touring seats feel very wide for me especially the this years touring models. Have you got to experience it in a everyday type of commute, my commutes typically involve stop and go traffic (because lane splitting isn't legal in my state).
Nope no major stop and go traffic for me!
Hello, have you ever done Mount Nebo in Arkansas?? 11 switchbacks❤
Not yet but it’s on the list!
I have the SG and bought a TW200 for around town . Just easier to get out of the garage lol
l love my 94 softail cheers
It looks to be a great tour bike but I would never trade my m8 roadking for one.
I like the rg headlight alot though .
How do you like your Bell race star helmet? Would you buy it again?
I own 5 of them so yes lol
I's blurry internet famous now. Great video 💯✌🤟🤘
Hahaha, you made it!!!
Great review and thanks for admitting that there are still areas you struggle with….as a woman, I appreciate honesty from other women, the men have no frame of reference on this!
Yay, I got my question answered! \o/ And, yes, you said my name right :D
Yay!!!
How well could you see the digital gauges in the rain?
I was watching for cars and water on the road. I wasn’t watching the mini tv 😂🤘
I love my panny, I just want smaller motorcycle for off-road, i'm not that big and I really don't feel like picking up a 550 pound bike lol
But with that being said, I tried out sport mode, and I didn't really feel any difference between that and my customized road mode with the throttle response turned all the way up....
The modes on the pan am also change the suspension if I remember correctly 🤷🏼♀️
@@ridetofood yes a little, i went to custom "a", copied road mode , and did my adjusting..... I also use their rain mode, and off-road plus
You can fix that on the street glide as well with taller handlebars
Of course!
So cute ❤
Yeah it’s a pretty cool motorcycle!
@@ridetofood not the bike you cupcake 🧁
You need a taller windshield and lowers for any kind of touring long rides
You might! But not everyone. 🤘
You should reach out to HD to see if they want to sponsor you @ 2024 HARLEY-DAVIDSON homecoming festival this summer in Milwaukee. Could be great for the channel & I think you'd have a great time. Something to ponder.
Went last year!
I call my Can Spyder the motor home of motorcycles 😊
haha love it!
Test drove one ,couldn’t stand the handle bars. 😂😂😂
To each their own! Lol
Many questions on comfort, seat, suspension, bars, fatigue etc. A motorcycle is not a car. Need to give your body time to adjust.
Everyone’s wants and needs in a bike are different 🤘
She is so beautiful and such a badass! Puts in more miles than most dudes.. myself included! 😂
lol thank you!
Seat are very important lol 5:49
haha indeed
👍👍👍👍👍
Thought you were her two wheels from the thumbnail.
She’s riding a white road glide so you didn’t look at the thumbnail very closely lol!
Nice :-) 🇩🇰😎🏍
You are absolutely beautiful. The bike is alright too. Lol 🇨🇦
Thanks 😅
I know there's good working reverse kits out there, I think that should be an option from Harley.
Eh, I’ll pass on that 😂
👥⚡️
✌️
You have to test yourself on italian roads, narrower, more tortous, more irregular !!!!!!!😂😉😉😉
lol!
