Schweizer SGS-2-33 Glider Takeoff/Release Truckee-Tahoe Airport, CA (KTRK)

martinsaviation.blogspot.com/ Video filmed with my GoPro Hero3 HD from my first ever glider lesson out of the Truckee-Tahoe Airport (KTRK). The video speeds up after takeoff to the point of our release.
We were being towed by Piper PA-25 N7487Z (a typical glider tow-plane). So cool to be towed up by another plane! Never experienced anything like it!

just saw this plane in the movie The Thomas Crown Affair (Steve McQueen) wow... amazing how it does those loops, but too freaky for my taste without any engine control.

The ones that we fly are not certified for aerobatics, that one must’ve been special

I know exactly how you feel. I had the problem when I started soaring back in 2013. I was just introduced to soaring at that time. Nowadays,I just love it.
