Hey bro! Great vlog! In the second KK hand; I don’t love this river fold. Yes, seeing an ace hit is a bummer. However, the river being the Ac makes me want to call more than any other Ace, because imo the only Ax hand he really has is AcXc, and now he can’t have that. Sure, he can have AxJx, but does that hand really bomb river when the flush gets there? Really we only lose to slowplayed sets, if those hands even call $50 pre. I don’t think a random T9cc calls turn. Maybe. I think we can call here. Especially against someone you deem a good player. Oh also, I would overbet the turn. Would be helpful to see his stack. I don’t even hate 2x overbet ripping turn. Fwiw his exact hand would’ve called Keep up the excellent work homie! 👊
Hey Mat! Its been a minute good to hear from you! I couldn't agree more about the KK hand. Yea the Ace on the river sucks but there isn't many combinations of Ax he could have as mentioned. Especially in a effective 3 bet pot (because of the straddle) I really like the overbet turn option! That way we force him into a tough situation with queens there. I appreciate your feedback so much man and I am looking forward to playing better in vegas!
Yep! I record with my phone, and to hold my phone up I do one of two things. In this video I just leaned my phone against my chip stack, but I also have a phone stand as well that I used in other videos
Ouch, that KK hand was brutal. What an awful river. If it makes you feel any better, I probably would have laid down the better hand as well. That was a really tough spot you were in.
Yea definitely one of the most difficult spots I have been in. Unfortunate we made the wrong decision but just gotta move forward and learn from it! Appreciate the comment!
I think in the hand qq vs kk, where you fold on the worst river in the deck, your opponent was value betting QQ against all the Js you have in the range - when you check on the river you shouldn't have flush so he feels pretty comfortable
Also, it’s A of clubs so it reduces the number of realistic flushes he can have. It’s easy to see these things when viewers are watching from home, but it’s harder when you are in the arena !
Good instincts on the AQ hand in terms of putting in a 4 bet. Calling is definitely going to be the worst play here as AQ is a pretty bad hand to take multiway oop in a 3bet pot. Lets put the pressure on as we block AK and QQ and get the other players out of the hand by putting in a 4 bet. If for whatever reason you're not comfortable with that, folding is better option that cold calling. As a general rule unless you're playing super deep (250bb+) I would not have a cold calling range.
My initial thought on the second KK hand was to make our hand a bluff catcher on the river. I then couldn't think of any logical bluffs while I could list some value. QQ should be 3bet in that spot so that's not something I'd think he has. I wouldn't fault you for a fold here, just know Ac is not the monster under the bed you saw it as in real time.
Hey Ethan I appreciate the feedback! Yea you are totally right. It isn't the worst option to fold river there, but the ace isn't necessarily the worst card in the deck and I need to be aware of that next time. Thank you for the support!
Hey I'm sorry I have just been really badly procrastinating. I have 3 Vegas videos I am trying to get out soon, and after that I want to get back on a more consistent schedule. I promise I will get on it!
Not sure why you’re afraid of the river A with KK. The A completed the flush draw, so the only A you lose to is AJ as he didn’t have the nut flush draw that backdoored top pair. You want to put him on a flush that’s fair but all he can really have is KQcc, I don’t think sets just call down so I rule those out. He cold called your $50 raise (which should have been closer to $75 with a straddle and 2 limps). So you really only lose to AJ, KQcc and a slow played AA
Yea I agree with your analysis. More combinations of bluffs than value hands on this river. I need to stop being so afraid to call without the best hand. Appreciate the comment and the advice!
Great episode, loved the audio on the kings hand
HAHA thanks bro just providing you with some real time hand analysis
Great vlogs ESP! Good luck in Vegas!
Thank you so much! Looking forward to it!

Yea you make a good point. Im not usually checking there if I have rivered a flush. Really shows how I need to work on playing hands out of positions
Also, it’s A of clubs so it reduces the number of realistic flushes he can have. It’s easy to see these things when viewers are watching from home, but it’s harder when you are in the arena !

Couldn't agree more. I know what I need to do but I was not implementing it into my game real time. Gotta be more aware next time
