Worth noting that net neutrality was repealed Lud. We absolutely have companies that charge more for more bandwidth now.
That "net neutrality" isn't what you think it was, though you're not alone as most people were overly optimistic in their assumptions. It did a lot of other things relating to how content is treated but in terms of pricing, it didn't do much of anything except largely preventing throttling and it prevented paid prioritization. Neither would have prevented charging more for more or faster bandwidth as throttling and prioritization are different aspects.
That's not what net neutrality was. Net neutrality was making sure that a company, say ComCast, couldn't make it so that Vimeo is a faster service than UA-cam by their own jurisdiction. It doesn't influence if Vimeo has better infrastructure than YT, but that they won't prioritize one websites bandwidth over another.
We lost that.

As significant as the Twitch drama is, I think the biggest drama here was Ludwig admitting to sabotaging Mogul Mail's channel and removing one of his videos.
The only constant thing in an ever-changing world is the eternal feud between Ludwig and Mogul Mail.

The problem is that Hasan didn't say "my job is draining" he said "my job is more draining than any other job", by that simple lack of empathy he immediately opened the door for people to take empathy out of the conversation when correcting him, and then Hasan got butthurt about it, so I think it's not that people don't understand what he meant, it's that they don't agree with him and treated him with the same lack of respect and consideration he treats the people that keep his business running.

I think the biggest problem is that other jobs that “suck the soul” barely pay enough to live. I’m a bartender and work about 60 hours a week. Most of those days 11-14 hrs on my feet and having to talk and smile to people. Similar to streaming + foot pain. But I’m lucky to get $50k a year which Hasan probably makes close to in a month. I get Hassan’s sentiment and think he’s right about it not being as easy as people think and most people online just want likes or hate his politics but it never feels great to hear a millionaire tell you how hard their job is.

So true. Actual authentic people can handle disagreements with friends respectably and don't need endless validation for every single step they take.
