Youll be glad to hear that there are new trains expected to replace to old ones on all the existing Limerick commuter railways including Limerick junction alongside the Limerick commuter and suburban rail expansion in the comming years as well as the opening of a direct Limerick to Cork line which i was lucky to get a chance to go on the test run of a while back which was also express meaning no stops so it took only an hour and 10 minutes

I agree most of the trains from Limerick Junction - Limerick City are dirty and old. They do have some modern clean trains on this route.
Why is there an awful blue tint to the windows?
That is a very good question, I am not sure why 🤔 this colour is on the windows, it does have a strange blue feel inside the carriage.🧐

most of irish rails trains are 20 years old and no sight of change there stilling buying them stupid hyundis instead of getting newer models
I agree it is time for change, the noise and condition of the Diesel Units is crazy, In other countries you have smooth clean running efficient trains.Also there is no charge points at your seat on this old units. The government talk the talk but Irish rail trains are antiquated 👍
@@travelbyplanestrainsandcruise yes and even in the 22000 as far as i can see the is only chargers in the Premier class or Irish rails first class witch is not close to a first class experience and there is only food on the Dublin cork service why? the trip to Tralee is similar distance and the train to Belfast has it (enterprise)
@@Flying_Shamrock The trains are very bad they need upgrading on all lines around Ireland, In addition, first class dining should be a option on all major routes around Ireland, hopefully with people power we can turn some heads with our comments as the channel grows as it’s a channel for people to express there honest opinions and I know Irish rail watch this channel ☘️👍

Maybe to walk in a city that isn't so congested with cars that they can't go anywhere like Cork or Dublin is because Limerick has a functioning public and active transport system :P
Maybe go by bus in future or buy a car
I do own a car and do travel by bus but I think it is important to travel on Public transport as it is more environmentally friendly and I do get sick of driving.In addition, I get to show the viewers the real picture of travel the Good the bad and the great journeys 😃
Personally... I would rather walk than take a bus because they are slow, uncomfortable, cramped, more expensive and often very dirty
Trains are fast, comfortable, spacious, cheap and a hell of a lot cleaner
I mean realistically the only thing that was actually dirty in this video was the tray table on the LJ - LC Train had a few splotches on it... He said the bathroom was dirty but didn't show the dirt and just showed the broken equipment... Nothing I've seen in the video is of poor service or filthy trains like the title implies, the trains are just old and due to be replaced anyway

I would prefer the train but in reality its not faster from Cork to Limerick, and the First train was very clean no fault there but the Second DMU 2600 train to Limerick. I don't agree as I show the grime on the table tray and the overhead luggage storage which looks like it was there for a long time and the rubbish at each table tray.Now the toilets there being no hand soap a person using the toilet would not have there hands washed effectively and transfer of germs. In Addition, if a person were to use a ultraviolet light my god what would show up. I feel this would not be great for any Elderly or persons with illness already whom deserve to travel without risk of further illness and I did not show the toilet condition as it might not be great to show persons a clogged toilet with facial matter and urine.So I do stand by my review as the pictures speak for themselves and hope Irish rail can at the least clean the trains.👍
