As a child, my Granny was from Tramore in County Waterford and we attended her funeral in Ballygunner cemetery in County Waterford, where her coffin was placed onto a horse-drawn cart to go uphill to the gravesite in the late 1980’s - towards the end of her life during her retirement, she was looked after by the Good Shepherd Nuns in the old school in Manor St in Waterford City and we got to know Sr Anne, Sr Joseph and Sr Assumpta very well and we would stay in the Convent when we visited her on the train from Dublin, the Nuns would meet us at the station with Sr Assumpta being the driver in her car
Why is there an awful blue tint to the windows?
That is a very good question, I am not sure why 🤔 this colour is on the windows, it does have a strange blue feel inside the carriage.🧐
Why would anyone want to go to Limerick? 😍😍
To see the river Shannon, the hunt museum and for a good night out on the town 😀👍
Tch,,you fail to understand,,Cork,,Corkonia, its people and places are regarded by Iarnrod Eireann as second class status. Limerick is third class. This is on record in the highly secretive minutes of board member meetings. You wont get access to them. In the minutes of these meetings board members are heard laughing about the marathon customers must do to get to trains in Heuston Station. Iarnrod Eireann are now unaccountable,,if you complain, they refer you to Transport ofr Ireland. Jus sayin is all. suck it up,,get some french fries and mayo,,,suck it up
No way i just realised i sat where you are today and that same window was still open the model numbers match up
most of irish rails trains are 20 years old and no sight of change there stilling buying them stupid hyundis instead of getting newer models
I agree it is time for change, the noise and condition of the Diesel Units is crazy, In other countries you have smooth clean running efficient trains. Also there is no charge points at your seat on this old units. The government talk the talk but Irish rail trains are antiquated 👍
@@travelbyplanestrainsandcruise yes and even in the 22000 as far as i can see the is only chargers in the Premier class or Irish rails first class witch is not close to a first class experience and there is only food on the Dublin cork service why? the trip to Tralee is similar distance and the train to Belfast has it (enterprise)
@@Flying_Shamrock The trains are very bad they need upgrading on all lines around Ireland, In addition, first class dining should be a option on all major routes around Ireland, hopefully with people power we can turn some heads with our comments as the channel grows as it’s a channel for people to express there honest opinions and I know Irish rail watch this channel ☘️👍
I agree most of the trains from Limerick Junction - Limerick City are dirty and old. They do have some modern clean trains on this route.
Maybe go by bus in future or buy a car
I do own a car and do travel by bus but I think it is important to travel on Public transport as it is more environmentally friendly and I do get sick of driving. In addition, I get to show the viewers the real picture of travel the Good the bad and the great journeys 😃

Hello.. Is the bus from Foggia to Padre pio Church has daily schedules? Thanks
Hi and welcome to the Channel 🤗 yes the bus will take you to Padre pio church and you can find the daily bus schedules on Google map by entering Foggia to San Giovanni Rotondo as the times do differ depending on the weekday or weekend. From memory I think the bus is every hour on Weekdays.I hope this offers some assistance 👍

Hi guys what is the cost of ticket from Hueston to Carlow? If i travel on a student leap card what will be the effective price?
Hi and welcome to the channel 🤗 Irish rail policy from there website on student fare and Dublin to carlow would be €4.40 and you can book online under student. In Addition, "Important: Changes to Student ID requirements from 3rd September 2023 To ensure a consistent approach across the Transport For Ireland network of public transport operators, from September 3rd 2023, only the TFI Student Leap Card (16-18 or 26+) or TFI Young Adult (19-25) Leap Card and Translink yLink card will be valid for student / young adult fares on all Iarnród Éireann Intercity, DART or commuter services. Individual third level institution cards or ISIC cards will no longer be accepted from 3rd September. Please ensure you have a valid card when purchasing student / young adult fares and can show it when inspected during your journey." I hope this helps note that you may be asked for proof that you are a student and can produce both the student leap card and student Identification 👍
Is the station far from North john Street,...is it within walking distance?
Hi and welcome to the channel if you mean Liverpool Lime street station to North John street is a 12 -15 minute walk 👍
@@travelbyplanestrainsandcruise Thank you for the information, and taking the time to reply.
Good luck with that - and just watch some crazy and immature Karen or Kevin trying to ruin it for everyone else - the ONLY way that this can work is if ARMED Gardai travel on this coach to ensure that the rules are complied with, as most people these days have no self discipline nor any proper concept of common sense - laws and rules ONLY work if they are PROPERLY enforced and ONLY if an absolute zero tolerance policy is rigidly enforced with NO exceptions - being Irish and having lived 23 years in the U.K., 30 years in supermarket retailing, I’m a strong believer in strongly enforced discipline so I’m only too well aware of the stunts that people pull and the games that people play

Hi I've just got back from napoli and loved it and I'm very very tired it's full of tourists but completely different we went to Rome which was great but in the mid thirties we we're tired and sweaty.
Great to hear of your adventure, Napoli, has some great places it does get very crowded.Especially in the high summer session.Rome, and trekking around to see the sights in the heat is very draining alright, but I have no doubt a great place you will never forget and I hope you tried the pizza in Napoli 👍
@@travelbyplanestrainsandcruiseyes we tried the pizza at da Michele it was lovely and very busy we also visited procida that was my favourite very small but beautiful and very relaxing.
It looks very quiet bus. I read that there are huge crowds no matter when you go and there is no place where to seat. Is that the early morning bus?
Hi yes the summer session is always busy but your best time to travel on the bus is the first bus in the morning as there will be que also if you are staying in Sorrento The boat to Positano is a option.Do bring plenty of water as the bus does get busy this time of year and I hope you enjoy this magical journey as I can Guarantee that the view from the bus are amazing 🌎
@@travelbyplanestrainsandcruise Thank you very much! I think to use hidrofoils and busses to see the beauty of both sides but we will be in Piano di Sorrento. There is a bus stop near our hotel but people recommend that we should take the train and go to Sorrento to take the bus from the first stop.
@@MiraX871 Your Welcome 🤗Yes I do Agree you should start your Journey and get on at the first stop in Sorrento, as It will be busy this time of year that way can guarantee a seat get to the que early if you can.But I can Guarantee the views from the bus are absolutely breathtaking they will be etched in your memory forever.Enjoy your journey and do feel free to post on how you you liked the journey as I love hearing of people great adventures and stories along there travels.Have a great trip and try sit on the side of the bus I Recommend in the video for best views of the scenery 💚
@@travelbyplanestrainsandcruise Thank you! You are so kind and your advice is so useful.
I hope you don't mind my adding a comment - we were staying just outside Sorrento from April 28th - May 8th 2024 and using the Sita bus was a nightmare. Crowds of people, pushing and shoving and jumping in from the front area of bus to get on. If going from Sorrento - Amalfi then i advise getting the really early bus or the next one which is 7.35am or thereabouts. We had to stand for over an hour which was a nightmare, and that was only to Positano - twisty, windy roads - took all your strength to hang on and stay upright. The second day using the bus we were near the front of queue but when boarding people were already onboard so not a lot of seats left. When leaving Amalfi at any time of the day, its a free for all and the bus driver does not bat an eyelid to queue jumpers. Very, very stressful. We were going to jump off the bus at Positano on the return journey but after seeing the hoards of people queueing all along the side of road, fighting to get onboard - we decided against it. The timetables don't run to plan, the traffic jams from Sorrento to Amalfi etc means that you can be on the bus for 2 hours. If you can afford it then i'd recommend you hire a private driver but avoid taxis in general as the prices are shocking. We hired a speedboat in Amalfi for the next day and had a wonderful time on the water laying off Positano taking photo's and going where we pleased. Just my Husband and i. Very reasonably priced (Amalfi Marine) and this way we avoided the crowds. Although we had the same fiasco catching the bus back to Sorrento. It is indeed a beautiful part of the world but the infrastructure cannot handle the masses who go there. I don't think that i would go back unless by private yacht.
Useful information I got to see that there is 6 seater cabs outside the airport anyone know how much they cost to city centre
Hi yes there is cabs outside the Airport I do know that it should be around €5 per head as in the cab/Taxi sharing which the persons in the high vis jackets are selling what ever you do agree a price before the journey and then that's the price you pay for cab sharing.I hope this gives a rough idea about the cab service.👍
Going to Italy soon, your full explanation with video is greatly appreciated, now I'm confident we'll find our way, thank you!
Thanks for the kind words.I hope you have a wonderful time in Italy 👍
I wish this had been available 5 years ago. I had to switch trains in Mallow to get from Killarney to Dublin.

Very good video!!!
Thank you very much!
Yes. Are there any departures from the same stops on the way from the city centre to the airport?
Hi yes the stops here to the airport are (1) Naples maritime station (2) ports di messa (3) Varco Pisacane (4) Naples central station the stop is right outside the train station and then the final stop of course the airport .Hope this helps google maps can be of great assistance in helping find a stop when it works 😀👍
Please use a grammar and spell checker for your captions. Awful on both counts.
I have to agree and believe it or not I have a university degree as a lawyer, Unfortunately, not learning punctuation and grammar at a young age has caught up with me and also partying until the sun goes down attitude has caused some brain impediments sometimes a old dog can't learn new tricks.I do use voice-over in my newer videos also the older videos were used with Artificial intelligence by UA-cam so worse. and respect your comments all of which help me become a better UA-camr 🤞 If we were all perfect in this world what a boring life it would be 😂 In any event I hope this video was of use 💚
Hi, would you tell me gently how can I reach valencia from the Castellón Aeroport and if u know the amount will needed
Hi yes no problem you get the airport bus from the bus stop in´front of Castellon airport as shown in the video the price was €12.00 maybe a little higher now as filmed in 2023 as far as I am aware the bus runs morning and afternoon but not for late night flights so the you get the bus to its final destination Castelló De La Plana train/bus station and see my video on this Castelló De La Plana train you see the train station is directly in-front of the bus stop go to the Renfe train office buy your ticket it cost €6.30 again in 2023 so a little higher now likely and then ask the platform of your train at the Renfe office down the escalator to the platform and the train then will take you to Valencia, city centre. Now I can tell you that a taxi cost me €50 from Castelló De La Plana train station to Castellon airport in 2023 for two persons so if you were thinking of a taxi to Valencia the cost would be over €100.I do hope this helps and you have great journey and if you need anymore help just ask no problem 👍
The 45 and 65.5 euro tickets include additional access to things on the mountain. The 25 euro ticket you purchased was just transportation to get to Montserrat but does not include basilica or museum access, the funiculars, etc. You're not being overcharged by buying through the "online companies" (in fact it's a savings compared to buying everything individually)
Thanks for your comments, but I don't agree, most people only want to visit Montserrat and the Basilica and both the cog-railway or the cable car is included in the €25 price station Espanya,In Addition, I think it is a great option for people whom don't want to pay €45-€65 and wait in long queues at the station to obtain a ticket for the barrier. Furthermore, people may not wish to take the other Funicular Santa Joan which entails longer hiking trails and may not be a great option with persons with disability and adding the basilica price which is new is still a cheaper option. I find other UA-camrs are trying to Promote these companys so they get a commission.I think honesty is the best policy the viewers to my channel should know that they have a choice either way if they wish to Visit more then they still have that option, when they get to Montserrat, So I Stand firmly behind my actions and words and your words you should choose carefully as they are backed up with little or no Knowledge of travel or educational research facts on the topic 👍
can you use your free travel pass ?
Unfortunately not on this service as it’s privatised with the Uk national express but you can get the number 41 bus to the airport with free travel it stops at Lower Abbey street and from Heuston train station you can get the luas to abbey street near O Connell street the stop is two minute walk 👍

not much point of toilets on a bus if you are not allowed to use them although it is a short journey after all.
I noticed that after, I up-loaded the video 🙃 😂 .The toilets must be mandatory for the bus driver under work law legislation.Very stupid all the same to have a toilet on the bus stating not to be used, Dublin Express are part of National Express and make enough money from the passengers to provided toilets and cleaners.😡 Thanks for your comments well spotted 👍

Hello We would like to travel from Killarney to Dublin by train is there a regular schedule.. That's reliable?
Hi and welcome to the channel 🤗 yes there is a regular service. This can be found at Irishrail.ie Just type in the destination point to end point in the journey planner and you will see the train times.I would suggest you Reserve a seat before you travel online as the trains will get booked out and if you can choose a direct train there is just one service a day for now or you can change at Mallow Co.Cork for the connecting train.I do hope this helps and have a great journey ☘️
Hello, thanks a lot for the video. Do you have an idea whether the bus is working during the night hours for late flights?
Your Welcome as far as I am aware the bus starts at 5.40am and runs up until 00.00-12.00am Although the C-6 bus website states its 24 hours I am not sure this is the case, unless it has changed since I have travelled you can check the time table out here alicanteturismo.com/en/bus-c6-alicante-airport/ Also you may want to check out the beni connect bus the timetable is From 01 April To 31 October Between 00:00 and 23:59h this is a private transfer and is scheduled according to flight times so may be helpful if you can't get the C-6 airport bus.I hope this helps 👍
@@travelbyplanestrainsandcruise nice, thank you very much. <3
Thinking of doing this the other way around, if you put stuff under the bus you wont see it untill final stop right?
There is three stops Birmingham, the Boat at Holyhead, and then Dublin, your right you won't see you stuff again unless you get of at the stops to make sure its ok a lesson I learned in Spain, never leave luggage in the Hand's of a bus service unless its chained down only a direct service so great point👌 🙃
Carbon footprint? Build a fast electrified railway and go by train - probably quicker and better for the environment.
I do agree Ireland, should think of Carbon Footprint, but there is more chance of Ryanair getting a electrified plane before Ireland gets a full route by Electrified train, Ireland, unfortunately is still trying to figure out how the legislate for a electric bike, such is our great high paid politicians they cycle to work and get driven home in a car and I think this answer will be good until at least 2040 🤯
What does "carbon footprint" mean ? In this case, the only alternative for me would be to lose 5 hours on the roads in my 3.0L Diesel jeep. If you want to talk about "carbon footprint", ask the politicians why they're penalising electric bikes with ridiculous power and speed limits !
I'm from Ireland but never been to Kerry Airport. Often said I would fly Dub-Kerry some day to see what it's like. Thanks for posting!!
