    hey, how are you? how long are you practising taekwondo? Are kicks in the balls allowed in taekwondo and are they effective for self defense?

      You do kick with the ball of your foot. It’s probable to score a hit with that kick in a fight but harder if you’re fighting against someone who’s experienced in kicking or tkd. The round kick is suffice over the front kick.

      And when throwing the front kick, for a proper form, make sure your foot is shaped as if you were wearing heels with your toes pointed back to ready your ball for contact.
