Good stuff! loved this game and I still do. I just unfortunately also get bored after playing for a while, just how survival games are for me. But I cannot recommend 7 Days to Die enough, it is a fantastic game
I think the dumbest thing about the trader missions is that you need to progress through them the way they were "intended". What makes that annoying is, if at any point of a clear mission you intentionally or accidentally make a detour, there is a chance that you'll miss a "checkpoint" and the zombies just wont spawn. It is really frustrating especially if you already cleared a big ass hospital only to get stuck trying to find the trigger point for the last zombies to spawn. At times I just had to end missions because I just couldn't find it wasting upwards of a hour.
I definitely feel your pain. I briefly mentioned something about the last zombie getting lost when doing missions with big buildings but you went in good detail with how annoying it can be. I preferred smaller buildings for reasons like this
02:05 taking 60 Minutes to craft a stone axe? guess you had to wait for your friend to show up, wasting a full ingame day before doing anything ^^ - Its funny to hear something like: "even the graphics dont blow me away" and "something thats more of an issue is the optimization" basicly in the same line, just imagine the fps drops with high end graphics ^^. Also the graphics improved quite a lot in the past decade, while still maintaining a rather good performance in my eyes. Sure its buggy and laggy as hell, but its the best zombie survival game out there. Not all developers can do it like Ark, where you happen to have a NASA-PC to run the game on lowest setting for almost 30 FPS on launch. So i prefere the "lower" graphics from 7d2d for the better performance overall. - So to answer your question about the "still worth playing?"... it never has been a better time to play 7d2d then now or even in the future. The game grows with every patch quite a bit. The slower development-cycle leaves modders more time to "get it right", unlike something like Vintage Story, where the game updates like every other month and modders have issues adjusting with the rapid updates. - Good video. Glad you had some fun with the game. For me its a game i play, drop and come back every year or so, to see what changed in the new alpha. Also it's more engaging to play 7d2d with permadeath for me, so my choices have more impact, since i cant just say "well, guess i'll die again", to see how far i can come every time, improving with each try. And since i am not so invested into it at all times, i dont mind it still being in early access, since i have something in the future to get excited about and i fear that development stops once the game is golden, like Factorio or Rimworld, which still get updates but that are basicly just bugfixes by now for years.
@@bringbackdislikes3195nope, PZ is pretty good as well. They both have their qualities, but in my opinion is 7d2d way ahead PZ. Simply the fact that you have more flexebilities with your builds (since isometric views can only do so much) in a world that is 100% destuctible by you or zombies. You also got more than 1 map to play with, which makes every game session unique.
@@FoB39 out of the 1,900 hours I have in the game, I've had maybe 2-3 crashes, if that. PC issue. Crashing immediately doesn't have anything to do with the optimization people complain about. It's the shader compiling.
I understand what you mean, don't like everything they implement - but got around all I don't like with the modding community. This game (with mods) never gets boring.

Had really fun times with this game, kinda got boring after a while
the 7dtd mod launcher can make the game a lot more interesting. Darkness falls is a good mod to start with if you ever end up trying it.

Loved this 5 years ago. They updated into no longer being fun. Funny how it got worse and still isn't Alpha
