that's what we need for ! mainly in the emergencies. i made the same errors untill i see this video , i took the layered abcess for simple fluid collections too !! a big thank from an algerian radiology resident
great question. In my opinion, have to consider the clinical picture as imaging usually does not reliably differentiate. On occasion, hematoma may have a more organized layered appearance, but not reliably.
i need your help good sir, i have a nasty parricide infection that you can see part of at my page i extract like 10 babies and a feeding bacteria tube from the queen that was embedded in the skin like an inch away. i do not believe its is Marggellins disease they are not blue and my skin is not clear looking like that. they are a 1 mill by 3 mill ish little pinkish purple body that has a 3 inch or so string that is anywhere from 2 mm to I have pulled peaces out as big as a pencil eraser . the infected area is my right forearm in 5 spots about 1 to 3 inch round and many small ones. i need help diagnosing what they are , how extensive the colony is , and what is the best way to kill them.
Hi doc, I had bruised before and it fades away and not swelling but there are times that it still hurts Is it possible that it is hematoma? Do soft tissue ultrasound show injury or hematoma? Thank you
Joseph. I need your help. No one is listening to me. I have sever tissue breakdown on my stomach no one will do an ultra sound where can I go as no one here in Missouri will say that you can see the soft tissue damage through ultra sound. Not a single tech here. They say its only for internal. I try to say that's not true. But they wont have it. Please help me. The wound in the tissue is causing the rest of the tissues to die off and causing lots of inflammation and fluid that circulates and its causing the mucus membranes to dry out and skin shed off. It's in the fatty tissue not epidermis
Excellent as always, thumbs up
Good one ❤
Thank you so much for this well done and succinct tutorial on SSTI ultrasounds. I'm a newbie w/US and this was a great help. Thanks again.

Thank you sir..but how can we differentiate hematoma from collection or abscess?

Hi doc, do soft tissue ultrasound show injury?
Or it should be musculoskeletal ultrasound?
Thank you
There's a lot of overlap between MSK US and soft tissue US, so either should be appropriate
thank you so much
Hi doc, may I ask what's the difference between soft tissue ultrasound and musculoskeletal ultrasound?
Thank you
Lots of overlap, of course. MSK focuses more on joints, tendons, ligaments, some more procedural guidance. But, again, a lot of overlap
Hi doc, I had bruised before and it fades away and not swelling but there are times that it still hurts
Is it possible that it is hematoma?
Do soft tissue ultrasound show injury or hematoma?
Thank you
soft tissue US should show hematoma or maybe other scar tissue long time post injury
Thank you
Thanks
