- It's Hurricane season here in Florida and we are preparing for one of the worst storms we've had in awhile. Hurricane Milton could hit Orlando as a Category 3 storm, and that would cause massive damage. We're hoping we have prepared well enough, and all of our Floridian friends are staying safe.

We've been here about 3.5 years and I agree that this one feels different. I'm a little nervous. And I hate that its hitting overnight. So creepy…and not in a good HHN way….Stay safe!
Ya, Nicole and Ian were pretty intense, but this one will be potentially 2 categories higher which will be crazy... the overnights are rough because people are tired but don't want to sleep and wake up to disaster. But thank you hopefully all Floridians are staying safe over the next 48 hours!

We were just doing this recently with Helene in Athens, GA area but it suddenly went more east after landfall, so hoping for the best for everyone.

I was on the cruise with you! Stay safe! In Orlando area in my home and waiting. Native Floridian and never get scared except this time.
I agree that this one feels different. The fact it is projected to come right over Disney World - and I am not far away from there is somewhat concerning. I agree that not being near the water with hurriances made it a bit less worrisome.
Today (Tuesday) was actually a beautiful day and I spent it in EPCOT. I am fueled, have food, and ready to roll if I need. Hopefully it will not come to that at all.
Disney and Universal close tomorrow at 2 PM and are closed on Thursday. STAY SAFE!!
It's weird, people are much more proactive about this one. I felt like Ian and Nicole, nobody really went overboard on prep, but this one I'm noticing a lot more preparations. Hopefully yall are safe over there, were probably only 15-20 minutes from each other, so let's hope everyone is staying safe!
I was looking at lines today, and it's crazy how long lines for things like hagrids still are ha, I guess people getting their last rides in. I saw the closures coming, though, some serious precautions when the parks are taking this much time off, too!

We are hunkered down as much as possible, we have taken a lot of precautions. I'm hoping we don't have too many issues. We have done a good amount of prep, though!

Think if I were local, I’d want to spend a night or two at Cabana Bay. Feel like those resorts are safe and reinforcedwell
They're VERY safe, yes! We are pretty strapped down, I'd rather people out on the coast have the space at resorts, especially if they have nowhere else to go.
