Lane Frost, Red Rock and Redding Rodeo ~ told by John Growney

Lane Frost was the world Champion in 1987 and Red Rock was the bull of the year in 1987 and that is when the story started. The Challenge of Champions came the year after both had won the highest honors in rodeo. Red Rock was set to retire but John Growney had this idea to see if Lane Frost could ride the unrideable Red Rock. A series of 7 meetings would occur for Lane to ride Red Rock. The part of the story that gets left out is that Redding Rodeo was where Lane Frost was finally able to ride Red Rock.
