Just got round to watching amazing route absolutely love watching you both on these trails you certainly have a lot of knowledge of the lakes so interesting. Thank You so much❤💯 for another great watch the views are spectacular.
Another top video guys thank you for taking the time record and sharing this with us. Glad you dropped on with the weather, can never get sick of those views. Hope the mojo is back 👍🏼
Picked a decent day for it Sunday was awful here. Good to see you back up here again thanks again for your time and effort making these videos always appreciated.
We were seeing the break in the weather for Saturday a few days prior and for once the weather report was correct! Glad it was as the views were incredible at times. Such a lovely and special place to be. Thank you 😊
I just wanted to say a big 'thank you' for your wonderful videos. I flap around Dorset as often, as far and as fast as I can. Your videos are very inspirational and enjoyable. I appreciate that you don't use any music and allow the atmosphere of the outdoors and your commentary to shine. Many, many thanks and happy trails.
Thank you so much, we both really appreciate your lovely comments. It’s what motivates us to make more videos so as long as people are interested we’ll carry on with the cameras! We just prefer a basic, natural approach and glad to see it works. Thanks again 😊
Wow! Another spectacular trip. Just gorgeous! I'm glad you're back and its always exciting to see a new video from you two. I love the ice cream cones in the middle of the journey.
Beast of a route. Makes my bimble over Sheffield Pike yesterday seem like a warm up at best. Some ascent in that route - some serious will power needed. Well done and another great vid.
Sheffield Pike is such a lovely summit with fantastic views to Helvellyn. One of our favourites. A long and hard route for sure but the surroundings make it so much more doable. Thank you 👍
You passed us last Saturday as we made our way up Helvellyn. You were running really strong. Me and my mate were doing a recce for LIAD and would like to say thank you for your really informative videos.
Thank you, really appreciated 👍 Saturday was a great day to be on the fells with some cracking views and for once the weather behaved itself! LIAD, a week on Saturday! We did it last year for the first time and are back again this year. Such a great event which I’m sure you’ll love if you haven’t done it before. Best of luck 👍
Just starting to watch now a bit. Loving this more chatty format! I laughed when you said you are coming out to run to get your motivation back. Not just for a normal-ish fell run. But for 35 miles with 10000 ft elevation, so casually! Well done guys.
Thanks Olga, really was good to be back in the Lakes. Doesn’t take long to miss it! Just felt we needed something to get our teeth stuck into, mainly to prove to ourselves that we can still do it. Lakes in a Day is a tough route so feel better about it now 😊
stunning route. I’ve been up most of them hills but never thought of putting them together like this. Also my wife watched your Lakeland 100 video and she’s decided to start trail running . Took her out round Grizedale forest for her first one on Saturday. Treating her to the Langdales this Saturday, could chance she might divorce me doing them climbs 😂
Haha, love it!! Once you run on trails you’ll never want to go back to roads. It’s a real feeling of freedom, especially when there’s no one else around. Grizdale is lovely so a great start for her and as for the Langdales…. 😂 Could be a little wet in places and definitely a little different to Grizdale!! Best of luck with that one 😜
parking in pooley bridge - good luck with that😂- glad to hear that you both got ya mojo running back- ice cream looked lush...- and thank you for taking us along with you
I’m sure we did the right thing running from the campsite. I don’t think I’ve ever seen Pooley Bridge quiet! Could have been a disaster from the off!! The ice creams were lush 😊 Thank you so much ☺️
Hi Matt, yes, we’ve heard of Harrier and see them mentioned all the time. I’m thinking the issues could be related to the very small size of the poles and that they’re apparently made for occasional racing and not general training. However, we’re in the process of having them refunded and replaced by the retailer. It has to be said that Leki themselves showed absolutely no interest in the issue which surprised me - just said speak to the retailer which I suppose is technically correct, but……
New tattoo Gary?! 😁 Ullswater is probably my favourite resoviour. Some parts looked very familiar. I always look on your Strava and then check up on mine. Unfortunetly, a lot of my runs in the past was never put on Strava which im now peed about i have to say. The holliday park looks great. Might have to keep an eye on that for the future. Best of luck on lakes in a day both of you.
Lovely isn’t it? If you haven’t ran around the full route of the Ullswater Way then I can highly recommend it. As for the tattoo, yes. Had to be done 😂 Thanks 👍
Hi, caps are by Vaga. They’re really comfortable and fit well. Watches are Garmin Enduro 2’s. They’re not cheap but very reliable, which they need to be considering we do all our navigation with them. Thank you 👍
Well done to you both it's a classic line. It's been used by Outward Bound, at least, staff for years. Surely this is the original Ullswater Skyline or even Watershed route. Long established route until someone decided Rimming was a better name. Please can we revert to its original name rather than the modern Americanism?
Thanks Stuart, you learn something new every day! We lacked knowledge of the history of the route, only choosing to do it a week or so after somebody suggested we try the ‘Rim route’! That said, it’s such a great route and one we’ll be doing again along with naming it correctly!
How do you two, or anyone else in chat, get on with dog and dog owner encounters? My experience is that some let their dogs treat me as some mobile toy, and when I ask them to control their dog, they give me a mouthful and tell me it's my fault ...
Brilliant.
Fab day
Fab route
Fab vid
Thanks
Thank you so much, the weather played its part in what was another memorable day of the fells 👍
Keep motivated as we really enjoy your routes 😀 Those views were magnificent.
We definitely landed lucky with the views. Thanks so much 👍
Such wonderful route for running. So pretty those breathtaking mountains views❤You are really awesome 👍👍
Thank you so much, we both really appreciate it 😊

Thanks Simon, the weather definitely played its part and yes, the running mojo is back. Can’t wait to get back out to the Lakes again!
I love these videos of yours.
Thank you so much 😊
Great route, some of my favourite Fells all in one round
Thanks Paul, certainly a great route. Loved the whole day 👍

Thanks Karen, it’s a great route and one to do again 👍
Wow! Another spectacular trip. Just gorgeous! I'm glad you're back and its always exciting to see a new video from you two. I love the ice cream cones in the middle of the journey.
Thanks so much again. The ice cream was definitely a bonus though it took a while to warm back up after them!
Cracking route guys . Thanks for sharing and best of luck at LIAD .
Thanks so much Ken, appreciate it 👍

Great to see you both back out on the fells again. Looked a fantastic route, but one that I’ll be trying soon.
It’s a cracker of a route. Not one bit was disliked. Thanks so much and best of luck when you give it a go 👍
Haha thanks for the shoutout guys, another great video! Haven't done the route myself (just saw it on someone's strava) but it looks great!
Had to credit you putting the idea to us! Really enjoyed it, such a great route 👍
Another great run 👏👍
Thanks Ian 👍

Hi guys, nother great vid. Have you heard of Harrier uk. Ive got the carbon hellvellyn poles and not had any issues. Keep up the great work.

I must get back to the lakes and burst out of this Northumberland bubble.
Can’t beat the Lakes but you don’t have it too bad up there! We’ll be trespassing again in December with the Cheviot Goat. Can’t wait 😳 😂
hi there great vid...what caps have you got on...blessings and what watches do you wear are they reilable...thanks

Great videos guys! Q. For you. What camera are you using? GoPro?
Thanks John, big fan of yours too 👍 Yes, cameras are GoPro 10 and 11 (we carry one each).

We’ve had the odd encounter with excitable dogs but on the whole most people control them well.
