The question is bit unclear. But here are the answers; If your question is whether you can use that tool to install OEM sensors, the answer is YES. If your question is whether you can program OEM sensors so you can put old sensor ID into the new one, the answer is NO. This tool can put new ID info into ECU, but cannot program non-autel programmable sensors or already programmed sensors, like OEM ones. (Also, even for Autel sensors, once programmed, it cannot be re-programmed)
@@ksong1496 I think you tell me what I needed. For example, if I rotate my wheels (oem tpms), can I relearn the position of the tires into the ECU with this tool?
Tool doesnt come with one. The instructions literally says point the sensor at the tire not the sensor or rim. He us using it wrong. Seems to work better on larger tires like on a truck
Magnet is not for better signal, it is to tell the OME sensor to go into relearn status (OEM sensors on 2003 and older vehicles, may be activated when a magnet is placed over the sensor valve stem)
Thanks for watching! Off camera we tried that a few times with not much luck - some of the sensors we practically had to be touching them to trigger for some reason 👍
@@freshvintage ive noticed some respond immediately and some take over 10 seconds. Usually the old ones with weak batteries. Unfortunately it seems this scanner knows the sensor as ok battery charge not actually the state of charge. Its either working or dead
Looking back on the TS508, it is a handy tool to have at home and at work. And the OBD Relearn function via Advanced Mode is impressive.
Thanks for watching and Subscribing! The TS508 is a really solid tool and is a must-have for any shop or DIYer definitely!
when comucation with the TPS put the 508 on the rubber of the wheel, it does not work well when you put it the valve stem, that is not a antenna.
BWARE TS508WF Autel has removed the ability to manually enter ID number on new MX sensors
Heard that this unit only do Autel sensors, not all sensors. Is it true?

@@Pccpy Of course It can do that.
@@ksong1496 Thank you.
Pretty sure if you use the magnet while scanning, you will get a better signal.

You're actually supposed to point it at the tire not the sensor.
