Hi guys, thank you for the support and feedback on the video. I genuinely appreciate it. 😊
I conveyed the feedback to Bosch’s technical support team and they have responded positively. Please have a look at the snapshot of the mail I’ve received from them. Hopefully they will roll out the next update with Android Auto/ CarPlay integration soon.

Look what I found!!
I was looking for an internal tpms and few days back I noticed Bosch one in Amazon. I knew it is relatively new and wanted some user review before I make a choice. From lasy week I am searching in youtube everyday for "Bosch tpms" suddenly today this video was in my list.
And I am quite happy I saw your channel, went through many of your videos. I am impressed, thanks for manking videos, even on simple things like changing wiper. I am sure it will really help someone. I am going to follow your videos as I own a Polo currently and I see a lot of in your channel. I hope I wil try out some of those useful tricks and hacks. Thanks a lot for making these videos.
Hi Jinto, thanks a lot for the comment; appreciate it man. I am glad you saw some of my clips on the Polo. Do check them out - it may help you for carrying out some odd job. 🙂
@@GaneshBalan Somehow I am inclined to treel tpms (jk tyres) at the moment, considering the price and the fact that it has to be replaced after 4-5 years. Could you comment on its quality, if it is reliable?
You mean on the quality of Treel sensors? Hold on. A friend and colleague might be looking to install the Treel units on his Grand i10 Nios. If he does I’ll definitely grab them for a quick review like this (minus the theory classes). 👍🏻
@@GaneshBalan Awesome, I will be looking forward for that review.
Hi @GaneshBalan, could you make a video/comment on treel tpms if you happened to see it from your friend? Also interested in knowing how Bosch tpms is doing so far.
Now I see 4 sensors of treel for Rs 1000 in Flipkart, but unable to comment on its genuinity. Any thoughts?
Very informative as always... I had installed one from Sensairy about 4 years back in my SX4. Was very helpful during long drives to detect pressure losses at early stage and save time significantly. Somewhere around same price range.
Batteries weren't replaceable in those as well... but it lasted for more than 4 years comfortably. Definitely, it was worth it.
Is it true that sensairy need your gps permission to be given to the app to provide the readings? I read this in an amozon review and sounded creapy.
GPS as in location permission - that’s right but it isn’t mandatory.
This is an excellent review - Spent time and then ended up Buying itself :) Good Detailed Review - Let me check your otherr videos for anything useful.
Appreciate the detailed video. I was looking for some reliable review on the Bosch TPMS contents and its offerings. I will keep an eye out for your long term review. Thank you and kindly keep up the good work, cheers!
Gannu bro, great content as always. Just my 2 cents here, I use external TPMS on my polo, bought from Aliexpress (good old days). They work good and has more control when comes to changing batteries or while rotating the wheels
Absolutely Dilu. The externally valve mounted sensors work well too. Just that they are a bit prone to theft. Sensairy in fact has external sensors as well. I haven’t criticised external sensors in the review! 🙂
Yes bro. TPMS is definitely must comparing the tyre prices these days. To maintain cold tyre pressure right, will definitely boost the tyre life. I am on my P3ST since I bought these sensors, set of Apollo which died premature was one of the main reason for me to buy these. And mine has dedicated info unit which works on wireless rather than Bluetooth which is plugged on to cigarette lighter.

I would recommend JK Treel TPMS I got it 5 Sensor for 1.8K and spent 500 for installation its working perfectly fine on my Nexon.
We’ve got a set of JK Treel for a friend’s Grand i10 NIOS from Flipkart for Rs 1800. Super VFM! 👍🏻
I did the same JK treel instalation for my Tiago and harrier
No issues at all
Does JK Treel require subscription?
@@akshaykadam1564 nope
@akshaykadam1564 No. None of the TPMS apps require subscription, to the best of my knowledge.
Thank you sir for such detailed yet simple informative videos.
As always ,crisp and clear 🎉
Great informative video. But, as a TPMS owner by Skyshop isn't it more effective that you've constant reading for your tire pressures while you drive. An alert notification on my phone isn't always the best solution cause then you're asking me to check my phone while I'm driving. With the Skyshop one, it has a dedicated monitor which gets charged through solar panels. I feel Bosch should definitely make a version which integrates the reading in the instrument clusters or a dedicated live reading monitor.
Thanks for the feedback.
Integrating the reading from an aftermarket TPMS into the instrument cluster is not possible. But on the infotainment display, yes.
But as a driver I would not want another display on the car because it is another distraction. If the tire temperatures and pressures go beyond the set threshold value, I want the system to send an alert and a high sounding one at that.
Bosch has taken the suggestions I’ve given and they are working on it.
A dedicated solar driven display, I doubt.
Nice information. Thanks . Love your red jazz. I have a sweet silver one .
Thank you! 🥰 Love the li’l hatchback!
Well made video. easy and clear to understand. Thanks :)
Good and informative and simple and clear explanation
a very precise video - Good!
Excellent Ganesh
Excellent review, Precise to the point and very well explained. I had one doubt, I enquired with JK Tyres and they quoted me for a price of 5K for 4 wheels. Also on some Instagram videos I was able to see per piece selling at 500 RS. Are those like duplicates ? or what is the price of Genuine TPMS from JK Typre ? Also what would be your recommendation. to install ? I wanted to install one for my Skoda Kushaq
Hi Suhas, don’t bother buying from tyre shops as they’ll quote slightly lower than the MRP.
Check Flipkart. We got 5 units from Flipkart for Rs 1800. We will be reviewing and putting it up shortly. 🙂
Please install any TPMS in your Kushaq. It will help in the event of an unfortunate pressure loss like tire burst on the highway.
@@GaneshBalan thanks much for taking time and responding... Sure I will certainly look at the one you recommended...
Thank you so much for the video. Pls give us some insights on the accuracy of the sensors sir after some months of usage. Thank you again.
Hi Debasish, I shall definitely do that. I intend to share an update after 6 months. Will post the comment and pin it for everyone’s benefit. As of now, the pressure reading on the compressor read 32 psi and it reads the same on the app.
Good video, well explained
Very useful info. Few naive questions from a first time car user: Can i buy the sensors online and go to any wheel balancing shop and request them to install ? any recommendation of such a shop in central/south Chennai ? How much do they charge (indicative figures will help a lot). Thanks !! :)
Hi Ajay, yes you can buy them online, go to any tire shop and they would install the sensors. That’s what I did as you can see in the video.
Not aware of the shops in Central/South Chennai. You’ll have to check Google Maps and the recent reviews of the shops.
Most shops in tier 1 cities charge Rs 150-200 per wheel for the installation. Cheaper if you do it in smaller towns.
Hope this helps! :)
Very good video than bosch provided.
What type of notification do we get when tyre is going flat or do we have any range to set i.e min value for the alert to be notified
I’ve shown the alert that comes on the iPhone. Please check. The threshold value is predefined by the system but can be set by the user.
Great video. Thanks man. Are Yokohama tyres good?
Hi Piyush, yes they are. Good VFM tires, made in India, offers a good balance of wet and dry traction/ grip, road noise suppression and comfort. Best part is some of the variants come with a 5 year warranty (Earth1) and I was able to claim warranty for one of my tires where the sidewall got cut.
Thanks for the review. How do we change the battery after 4-5 years? Is it user friendly or should be done by technicians only?
Hi Hemanth, the 3V batteries inside these TPMS sensors are not user replaceable. I mentioned that in the video if you missed it. You will need to replace the sensors itself. That is not the case with this Bosch TPMS alone but with other units as well. You can however try removing the epoxy potting from the sensor by scrapping or using a portable mini rotary drill and replacing the battery.
@@GaneshBalan Thank you so much!!
Very well explained. I have 1 question How do they activate? As you install app?
That’s right. You don’t even have to install the sensors in the tires. Install the app and the sensors will show up on the app with the temperature reading. Pressure values show up when you fill air after installing the sensors.
@@GaneshBalan I am also agree with you that when pressure gets too low, the app should make a different sound and show diff color to warn us. If not then there is no use of this TPMS in case of emergency.
Though it's Bosch. This feels awfully similar to JK Tyre's Treel TPMS. The app is exactly the same, down the minute details. I think Bosch just rebadged it.
Yep, the app developers for both Bosch and Treel are the same guys. As far as the sensors are concerned, they are manufactured by different firms.
6:40 add sensor popup. The bosch app has typo as 'Senser'. Strange that someone in bosch testing team could not do spellcheck in the App.
Hehe so true. Can be fixed though. I’m going to give the feedback to the Bosch app team.
I use JK treel and this one seems pretty similar to it.
Yep this one looks very identical to the ones sold by Treel.
Any suggestions for a TPMS which gives display in Apple car play or Android auto in infotainment screen?
Treel works with CarPlay. And is cheap too.
Informative
@Ganesh Balan -- will this fit all cars? I am trying to buy this one basis your reviews for a Skoda Kodiaq?
Hi Bala, yes it fits in all cars and SUVs. But I’m more surprised that a 30L+ SUB didn’t come with TPMS in the first place! 😲
Are you sure your Kodiaq doesn’t have TPMS?
@@GaneshBalan It has an indicator that just says low tyre pressure detected - And not the exact unit. So adding this as an additional. Yeah, you are right a Sub30L and without this feature is funny. I love this car and thats why am on it adding gadgets. if you have any other recommendations do let me know :) Are you on Insta?
So clearly that’s the ABS based indirect TPMS. I am surprised Škoda installed a low-level TPMS in such an expensive car! I think the newer batches now get direct TPMS? Anyways, yes you can install this system or even the cheaper JK Tyres’ Treel (which I will be reviewing shortly!).
The Kodiaq is such a brilliant car! Lovely engine + DSG combination (guess you have the 2.0 TDI?) that pulls like crazy, plenty of cabin space and the typical Skoda touches.
No bro, not on Insta. Yet! :)
@@GaneshBalan yeah the latest 2.0 2023 model ❤️
Is there more expensive one available with more quality and can display to car screen .
Hi Deepanshu, no Bosch doesn’t have one such model. They have one with 2 sensors for 2-wheelers and one with 4 sensors for the 4-wheelers.
Would have been nice to have an external display so drivers can have view the temperature and pressure of the tires.
Sir bosh ka tpms best ha ya sensairy ka .aap batao me vahi purchase keruga
HK Tyres ka Treel ka lijiye, SST (sastha sundar tikau) hein. Flipkart mein Rs 1800 mein 5 sensor ayega.
Bosch aur Sensairy mein, Bosch loonga.
Okay, I was sold on this being a “Bosch” until I heard the batteries are not replaceable. What happens if one of the batteries dies at the 6-year mark, therefore out of warranty? I'd have to by the entire set for 6-7k for a part that costs 20rs at best to change. Really pathetic from Bosch. Not to mention, there are a lot of other issues with having a design that only reports to a phone and not a dedicated display.
Well, that’s how it is from all the brands out there. 🙂 You can try removing/scrapping off the epoxy potting and replacing the batteries but that’s when it comes. I wouldn’t worry about it right away. By then I’m sure a lot of brands would have come out with their TPMS and would have become a lot more cheaper. Like the dashcams today.
@@GaneshBalan haha yes. What you pointed out was exactly my thought. Maybe by then the same quality stuff can be had for much cheaper. Plus, conformal coating isn't really the most difficult of problems.
also wheel balancing will be a problem
How would wheel balancing be a problem? If anything is changed on a balanced wheel like changing the stem valve (a very minor change which can be ignored), changing the tyre, changing the rim (a different alloy wheel for example), you need to do the balancing again.
@@GaneshBalan adding weight inside wheel bruh even 2gms makes differenc
the bad thing about this app is it dont show in apple carplay or android auto in infotainment screen, which is a big no for me.
I’ve informed Bosch’s technical support team and they are looking to have the integration in the next update. The absence is a downer indeed.
@@GaneshBalan Thankyou so much. Couple of days back i ordered but cancelled seeing the app is not showing in my carplay. Once they will enable this i will buy it agian.
I’m looking forward for the app update. Will update in the comments section.
they should have provided a dedicated display for monitoring pressure
As an optional extra that would have been welcome but would end up being an added distraction in addition to the instrument cluster and the infotainment unit’s display.
There are different Treel models with different price range. What's the difference?
Even one on Treel website is ₹7500
I’ll be reviewing the Treel TPMS next week. Shall check what are all the variants and put it up on the video.
If we can swap the position in App, why to keep marking on Tyres while installing ?
Because it’s easier to pair the sensors when you’re installing for the first time. You only have to scan the QR code at the back of the packaging once and it automatically sets the positions without any additional inputs.
If you want to install the sensors elsewhere, you will have to manually figure them out and pair them.
Unnecessarily complicating things.
Gannu, I think concealing your car's registration number would be a good idea.. 6:35
Noted. Thanks. 😊
5 sensor pack buying link is it available in to purchase from tyre shops ?
Right now, I’ve seen it listed only on Amazon.

Hi,
I have VW Tiguan GT
In my car basic tpms, only alert when tyre pressure is low.
Can I install Bosch toms?
Hi Kalpesh, you meant Taigun and not Tiguan? Anyways, your car has indirect TPMS using ABS sensors. You can install Bosch TPMS on your wheels and pair them to the app.

Yes, taigun,
It is typos mistake

What if the tyres are rotated?

Battery are replaceable. Just melt the behind glue and replace the battery
But how do you melt the epoxy? Using a heat gun?
@@GaneshBalan yes with heat gun
Thanks! 👍🏻
Quite useless without an internal display, if you’re doing 120 on the expressway, and your phone pings, you’re expected to either stop and check it or even worse check it while driving..
I agree and have flagged it to their technical team to release it as a future update. More than the display, I want the alert to be more prominent than the feeble message beep.
I am using same type sensrs from JK tyres just for 2000 rs
Good to hear. We got a set for Rs 1800 from Flipkart last week.
wtf , why cant change batteries
Well that’s how these TPMS sensors are designed. Don’t think there’s an internal sensor with replaceable batteries.
Does this have support for Android Auto?
Did you watch the video?
Sorry, asked you to type Yes or No. 🙏🏼

Jk treel way better and cheap, only 1800 rs, also bosch marketing this item, not manufacturing by them
Cheap absolutely. Way better - how? How do you know Bosch is marketing the sensors and not manufacturing themselves?
A month back it was 800rs for JK TREEL for four sensors

Bosh has completely copied this concept treel in Market is providing these from many years so it's nothing new only copied by bosch even at 2500 for these Bosch taking 6500
So you’re if something is already being offered by one manufacturer, others can’t? Or perhaps others have to come with something else too? Like a pack of biscuits or cookies?
Quiet useless without internal display. Extremely high cost.
Thank you for the feedback Mr Iyer. It is ‘quite’ BTW. But thanks anyway.
