Hi guys, thank you for the support and feedback on the video. I genuinely appreciate it. 😊 I conveyed the feedback to Bosch’s technical support team and they have responded positively. Please have a look at the snapshot of the mail I’ve received from them. Hopefully they will roll out the next update with Android Auto/ CarPlay integration soon. imgur.com/a/36qgNlr
Very informative as always... I had installed one from Sensairy about 4 years back in my SX4. Was very helpful during long drives to detect pressure losses at early stage and save time significantly. Somewhere around same price range. Batteries weren't replaceable in those as well... but it lasted for more than 4 years comfortably. Definitely, it was worth it.
Look what I found!! I was looking for an internal tpms and few days back I noticed Bosch one in Amazon. I knew it is relatively new and wanted some user review before I make a choice. From lasy week I am searching in youtube everyday for "Bosch tpms" suddenly today this video was in my list. And I am quite happy I saw your channel, went through many of your videos. @@GaneshBalan Somehow I am inclined to treel tpms (jk tyres) at the moment, considering the price and the fact that it has to be replaced after 4-5 years. Could you comment on its quality, if it is reliable?
You mean on the quality of Treel sensors? Hold on. A friend and colleague might be looking to install the Treel units on his Grand i10 Nios. If he does I’ll definitely grab them for a quick review like this (minus the theory classes). 👍🏻
Hi @GaneshBalan, could you make a video/comment on treel tpms if you happened to see it from your friend? Also interested in knowing how Bosch tpms is doing so far. Now I see 4 sensors of treel for Rs 1000 in Flipkart, but unable to comment on its genuinity. Any thoughts?

Appreciate the detailed video. I was looking for some reliable review on the Bosch TPMS contents and its offerings. I will keep an eye out for your long term review. Thank you and kindly keep up the good work, cheers!
Gannu bro, great content as always. Just my 2 cents here, I use external TPMS on my polo, bought from Aliexpress (good old days). They work good and has more control when comes to changing batteries or while rotating the wheels
Absolutely Dilu. The externally valve mounted sensors work well too. Just that they are a bit prone to theft. Sensairy in fact has external sensors as well. I haven’t criticised external sensors in the review! 🙂
Yes bro. TPMS is definitely must comparing the tyre prices these days. To maintain cold tyre pressure right, will definitely boost the tyre life. I am on my P3ST since I bought these sensors, set of Apollo which died premature was one of the main reason for me to buy these. And mine has dedicated info unit which works on wireless rather than Bluetooth which is plugged on to cigarette lighter.
Great informative video. But, as a TPMS owner by Skyshop isn't it more effective that you've constant reading for your tire pressures while you drive. An alert notification on my phone isn't always the best solution cause then you're asking me to check my phone while I'm driving. With the Skyshop one, it has a dedicated monitor which gets charged through solar panels. I feel Bosch should definitely make a version which integrates the reading in the instrument clusters or a dedicated live reading monitor.
Thanks for the feedback. Integrating the reading from an aftermarket TPMS into the instrument cluster is not possible. But on the infotainment display, yes. But as a driver I would not want another display on the car because it is another distraction. If the tire temperatures and pressures go beyond the set threshold value, I want the system to send an alert and a high sounding one at that. Bosch has taken the suggestions I’ve given and they are working on it. A dedicated solar driven display, I doubt.
Hi Ganesh nice video, I had installed blaupunkt tpms good product but while wheel alignment or in service mech break the pin inside the valve which cannot be replaced. Other mech says if the valves are rubber made it’s fixable but if the valves are steel it cannot be fixed. So are these Bosch valves are rubber made one?
Very good video than bosch provided. What type of notification do we get when tyre is going flat or do we have any range to set i.e min value for the alert to be notified
That’s right. You don’t even have to install the sensors in the tires. Install the app and the sensors will show up on the app with the temperature reading. Pressure values show up when you fill air after installing the sensors.
@@GaneshBalan I am also agree with you that when pressure gets too low, the app should make a different sound and show diff color to warn us. If not then there is no use of this TPMS in case of emergency.
Hi Hemanth, the 3V batteries inside these TPMS sensors are not user replaceable. I mentioned that in the video if you missed it. You will need to replace the sensors itself. That is not the case with this Bosch TPMS alone but with other units as well. You can however try removing the epoxy potting from the sensor by scrapping or using a portable mini rotary drill and replacing the battery.
Hi Debasish, I shall definitely do that. I intend to share an update after 6 months. Will post the comment and pin it for everyone’s benefit. As of now, the pressure reading on the compressor read 32 psi and it reads the same on the app.
Very useful info. Few naive questions from a first time car user: Can i buy the sensors online and go to any wheel balancing shop and request them to install ? any recommendation of such a shop in central/south Chennai ? How much do they charge (indicative figures will help a lot). Thanks !! :)
Hi Ajay, yes you can buy them online, go to any tire shop and they would install the sensors. That’s what I did as you can see in the video. Not aware of the shops in Central/South Chennai. You’ll have to check Google Maps and the recent reviews of the shops. Most shops in tier 1 cities charge Rs 150-200 per wheel for the installation. Cheaper if you do it in smaller towns. Hi Piyush, yes they are. Good VFM tires, made in India, offers a good balance of wet and dry traction/ grip, road noise suppression and comfort. Best part is some of the variants come with a 5 year warranty (Earth1) and I was able to claim warranty for one of my tires where the sidewall got cut.
Excellent review, Precise to the point and very well explained. I had one doubt, I enquired with JK Tyres and they quoted me for a price of 5K for 4 wheels. Okay, I was sold on this being a “Bosch” until I heard the batteries are not replaceable. What happens if one of the batteries dies at the 6-year mark, therefore out of warranty? I'd have to by the entire set for 6-7k for a part that costs 20rs at best to change. Really pathetic from Bosch. Not to mention, there are a lot of other issues with having a design that only reports to a phone and not a dedicated display.
Well, that’s how it is from all the brands out there. 🙂 You can try removing/scrapping off the epoxy potting and replacing the batteries but that’s when it comes. How would wheel balancing be a problem? If anything is changed on a balanced wheel like changing the stem valve (a very minor change which can be ignored), changing the tyre, changing the rim (a different alloy wheel for example), you need to do the balancing again.

Quite useless without an internal display, if you’re doing 120 on the expressway, and your phone pings, you’re expected to either stop and check it or even worse check it while driving..
I agree and have flagged it to their technical team to release it as a future update. More than the display, I want the alert to be more prominent than the feeble message beep.
Mr Sai, I don’t know how one can quantify something as being ‘100 times better’ than its competitor unless it’s a figure of speech. For sure the Treel is cheaper by 3-4 times depending on how much you’ve got it for but otherwise the Bosch TPMS works just as good. We are waiting for the app developers to release the update that enables Android Auto and CarPlay so we don’t have to rely on the smartphones. You’ve a good day (or night) Mr Sai!
Yes, indeed. The display gives the real time pressure readouts which is helpful for senior citizens and the likes who wouldn’t want to fiddle with their phones. 👍🏻 The Bosch unit doesn’t get one. Like I said, once the developers roll out the app update that enables integration of the app with CarPlay and Android Auto, you don’t need another display. It’s like another distraction on the dashboard in addition to the instrument cluster and infotainment unit.
Bosh has completely copied this concept treel in Market is providing these from many years so it's nothing new only copied by bosch even at 2500 for these Bosch taking 6500
So you’re if something is already being offered by one manufacturer, others can’t? Or perhaps others have to come with something else too? Like a pack of biscuits or cookies?

Good to hear. We got a set for Rs 1800 from Flipkart last week.
This is not great for tyre maintaining. They have to stay same where they're fitted until their life.
I didn’t quite understand what you meant. What does ‘staying same where they’re fitted’ mean?

🤘🏻 Yo bro.
Jk treel is 100 times better in all aspects including cost
Mr Sai, I don’t know how one can quantify something as being ‘100 times better’ than its competitor unless it’s a figure of speech.
For sure the Treel is cheaper by 3-4 times depending on how much you’ve got it for but otherwise the Bosch TPMS works just as good. We are waiting for the app developers to release the update that enables Android Auto and CarPlay so we don’t have to rely on the smartphones.
You’ve a good day (or night) Mr Sai!

JK treel got indoor display unit which works on solar energy
Yes, indeed. The display gives the real time pressure readouts which is helpful for senior citizens and the likes who wouldn’t want to fiddle with their phones. 👍🏻 The Bosch unit doesn’t get one.
Like I said, once the developers roll out the app update that enables integration of the app with CarPlay and Android Auto, you don’t need another display.
It’s like another distraction on the dashboard in addition to the instrument cluster and infotainment unit.
You can buy small portable air pump in that price 😂
Didn’t realise air pumps provide individual tire pressure readouts. Thanks for the heads-up man. 👍🏻
Jk treel way better and cheap, only 1800 rs, also bosch marketing this item, not manufacturing by them
Cheap absolutely. Way better - how? How do you know Bosch is marketing the sensors and not manufacturing themselves?
A month back it was 800rs for JK TREEL for four sensors

Bosh has completely copied this concept treel in Market is providing these from many years so it's nothing new only copied by bosch even at 2500 for these Bosch taking 6500
So you’re if something is already being offered by one manufacturer, others can’t? Or perhaps others have to come with something else too? Like a pack of biscuits or cookies?
Carry tyre infuriator for calibration ....tpms is a junk... humans are made to rely on sencers...
Saar plis don get infuriated. I’m carrying inflator in kaar. K, thx bai.
Quiet useless without internal display. Extremely high cost.
Thank you for the feedback Mr Iyer. It is ‘quite’ BTW. But thanks anyway.
Why ? If you drive regularly you can immediately know if pressures are low. Till date never felt to have this.
Good to hear man. Looks like you know your cars better. Keep at it! 👍🏻
