Nice, don’t upload too frequently. Mike is peak when he takes two months to informatively complain about sum

Inspiration for a Zelda RPG. Getting heavy final fantasy 7 vibes off that.

You’ve been doing some great stuff recently about the theory behind the importance of good mixing and knowing your shit around song production. And tbh, your best tool for backing that up is this kind of thing- giving proof in practise how better mixing can elevate a song to the next level. I don’t know anything about music production, and I even can tell this slaps so much fucking harder than the original.

Zelda definitely has some of the best music in gaming. Kass’ theme is also a great one. Some guy covered that on piano and its definitely worth a listen.

The Zelda theme is a cover of April by Deep Purple. This is actually a metal cover of a Nintendo cover of a Metal song.

how dare you sell stuff and try to make money! you don't need money for your time! humans don't need to eat, after all.
This sounds great. If music production was still a major part of my life, I'd definitely subscribe to Knight School.

What the f is up with these views whenever you try to do a song? Its so weird. Can even 1% of your subs listen to their rock guy actually...you know, do rock?

This goes to my point in my last video on Finn. I don't think it's because my fans don't want to listen. I think it's because they aren't told I published it.

@@BecomeTheKnight Respectfully, i don’t know if you should blame the algorithm fully. People have very specific tastes when it comes to music and when it comes to other types of content they consume. You started your channel as a commentary/reaction channel and viewed things through the lens of a prog/metal musician and fan of bands such as Dream Theater and Metallica. You got a lot of views doing so and (very importantly) cultivated an audience that expected that. I think the idea that the audience you cultivated would also listen to your original music is probably just not a great assumption. Just being associated with a style of music or particular bands doesn’t mean ppl will like your music. This isn’t a criticism of your music, its just that the music that ppl like is very personal and specific. People only frequently listen to a tiny percentage of the music they’ve ever heard and the rest can’t all be objectively garbage. Just becuz an artist is associated with and plays in a similar genre to another band does not mean one likes that artist. For example, i’m a Dream Theater fan. I don’t care to listen to Haken or Symphony X, two of their most closely associated bands. I like a few Pink Floyd albums but don’t really like other early prog rock.
I think the crux of the problem is that you are trying to market a niche product in an already carved out niche. You started a commentary and reaction channel that reached a certain amount of people, some of whom stuck by (your subscribers). Then you marketed your music, a product that ppl are very particular about, to your audience. If only 10% of your existing UA-cam audience (an audience that expects commentary and reactions) listens to your own music, i’d say that makes a lot of sense and is probably not related heavily to the algorithm. Its probably simply that only 10% of the fans of your reaction and commentary content want to listen to your music. That doesn’t seem abnormal to me. For comparison, Jeff Goldblum is one of the most successful actors of all time. He also does music (very well). His “JeffGoldblumVevo” channel has 28k subscribers. Basically nothing. The Venn diagram of “people who like Jeff Goldblum’s movies” and “people who like Jeff Goldblum’s music” is far, far from a circle. I think the same is probably true for you. The Venn diagram of ppl who like your commentary and ppl who like your music isn’t a circle.
Again, not a criticism of your music or your content. I just think there is probably a reason for your lacklustre views on your music that is not related to the algorithm. Not sure if anyone will read this novel, but there it is. I’m saying this to help, for the record. You can’t change the algorithm so blaming it when it may not be the issue doesn’t help you.
