I’ve watched a lot of videos on birdbox/soffit/fascia install.
For me and my 1958 ranch home this one is the BEST.
Real guys doing real work and letting me hang out and learn.
Thanks for both your time making these vids and your service to our country.
I appreciate that!
Trying to tackle my own soffit and fascia project … this video helps me a ton ! Thanks for the production !
Great job it’s good to see somebody out there explaining the how and why instead of just showing us thank you for your service our freedom is under your wings❤️🇺🇸
Anytime thank you
A true professional right there. Thanks for posting and maintaining high standards
Thank you for the video. I just finished the soffit and fascia on my garage that I’m building myself and it turned out great.
Just started an exterior renovation business after working the job at another company. There is no end to finding new tricks for this type of work. Enjoying your vids and ads. Thanks for your efforts
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience and knowledge with us. Finished work looked really nice. 👍
Great video 👍 I've been putting off doing my garage birdbox & soffit/fascia , & it seems that every year the carpenter bees make more holes. Now I got the skills to get it wrapped up
Very clean work. Nice to see another contractor who takes pride in their work. People watch these videos and it looks easy it isn’t the case at all. It takes years of mistakes and failure to get to this skill. You learn from the mistakes and eventually you make it look very easy like he did.
Well said
Great teaching! I need to do this to my house, and this makes it much clearer on how to do it. Thanks!
Thank you I hade no idea how to do any of this work and i have been watching the video and putting fascia on my house.
Awesome job guys. I'm a Marine Veteran and like seeing Vets having successful businesses.
Thanks!
As always, another great video. Thanks for sharing WFS!
thanks its my pleasure really. I love helping people learn things so they can make more money or save more money.
I'm about to try and put soffit on my garage. This video really helped me. Thanks!!
Gonna be honest dude. You inspired me to make more money. You’re a cool dude. I do framing, siding, roofing, soffit/fascia, and pretty much everything carpentry. Just your work ethic alone is inspiring. Thanks bro.
You're welcome I do my best..
Hell yea bro that's crazy to hear. I ain't no different from nobody! Carpentry is one of my favorites. Got a good video coming soon on some basics n building doors and such. Carpentry is the best base of all the trades I feel. If you can understand framing well you can learn anything else quickly with full understanding
@@NWIVeteranConstruction Bro I love your videos! I am currently remodeling my first house and wanted to try the fascia and soffit myself. Unfortunately I can't find a good place to buy the fascia anywhere near me. Do you recommend any place. Could you please??
@@darbyholloway1593 I go to abc building supply or beacon. But home depot and Menards also have them in some colors
If you're looking for color, abc has the most colors in stock in my area and most of the gutter companies use their aluminum as well so the color match is perfect
I have been roofing for about 15 years and I watch ur videos because u never know what you can learn from someone. I have taken a few of your tips. You seem like a good guy and great boss. Thank you for doing this buddy
Great Content
Our garage roof has a lot of rotten sheeting and the first ice/snow storm we got let to the dave's demise including the soffit, fascia sub fascia, gutter, downspouts, and all that.
I managed to bolt in some decent sistered rafter tail repairs but ended up just screwing in so.e pine and mdf boards to keep the brunt of the elements and critters more importantly out.
Will come back to this when the weather gets a bit nicer so I can properly fix everything.
Love your work fellow vet, love to see when other vets are doing well 👍
Thanks dude! I've been struggling to find a video with a clear instruction on how to finish a bird box. This was most helpful
glad It helped!
These are the really good videos that Help the Industry. 2 Thumbs Up
Great information, keep sharing thanks!!!
Awesome video....taught me exactly what I needed to know and was simple to follow. Great work and a huge THANK YOU!!!
I’m a mason but I can admire your quality and productivity.
Great job!! Liked the part with those nails sticking out it was an important part of this job to let us know about that! Came out Great! 👌👌👍🏻
Excellent demo, thanks for sharing, teaching
This is great. Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us.
Great stuff bro. These are the videos we need to see. Great to pick up a few tricks on exterior trim. If you can, do a metal bending video. Especially on wrapping exterior window trims and bending fascia. Keep up the good work!
I've always struggled with how to finish "birdboxes". You did a great job explaining it.
Thank you! 😊
Thank you so much. I learned a lot from this video. And I was able to do the job my self. Thank you again
Zach - another great video. This is awesome knowledge you're handing out. Your channel continues to inspire me man. I really and truly appreciate the time you put into these videos. I will never understand the hate thrown your way. Keep em' coming brother.
that means a lot man! thanks so much. its comments like yours that inspire me to really improve my content quality and drive on
Well done. Looks fantastic,!
Hey, I just wanted to thank you for making all the videos. I watched about a hundred of them, and learned the entire time. Now I'm on a good crew roofing every day. My shingle lines are always nice and straight, and I shingle almost identical to you.
awesome! you must be making a killing! I would love to see you do the one square challenge. its easy. plus I know my fans enjoy watching them
You forgot to mention the pain and soreness that comes with it. Some of the real slippery ice and water shield wrapper snuck under my foot a few weeks ago and I ended up off the roof from about 12'. Landed on my feet but it still hurt and had to take the rest of that day off. If I pick up a side job I will do the 1 sq. challenge.
I'm ready to tackle my house now!! You do wonderful work man!! Thx for the video
Any time!
Tech tip of the day, when you throw something up to someone, throw right to their face. Sounds bad right, but I guarantee he’ll catch it every time. This is what was taught to me and it always works! And No I have never seen anyone get smacked in the forehead doing this. Now this trick may not work if your workers are stoned or drunk. Just an FYI!
Thanks a million. Youre tutorial helped plenty. Great video. Keep it up.
Totally awesome video. You guys are pros 👍🏻
Great job! I started to youseing screws that match color ! I do this because I've had really high winds blow it loss since then no call backs and new business definitely a plus. Got this idea from manufacture homes! They pull them down the road at 55 plus miph they say they never had a problem with blow off.
Great advice, really will help me out on my garage.
Thanks for this video, i’m doing this for the first time and I will do a good job with your tutorial.
Thanks that looks “AWESOME “ great illustration, first time viewer of your channel and you made it look very easy ; not complicated; I’m a woman DIY’er and an designer/drafter ; I have guys doing work for me and I always have to be one-head up for my jobs, and I appreciate professionals that instruct excellent , professional work ethics, God Bless ,, Take Care until then.
Thank you, this helped me tackle a siding job that I'm currently doing on a house that I framed, so it's definitely a change in finesse and putting the framing hammer away.
Awesome man
Man knows his stuff. A pleasure to watch a real craftsman at work
Thank you sir!
Nice job. You make it look so easy. Thanks for this video.
Great Video! Love the way that siding looks!

Great video! Thank you, helped me a lot doing my own facia!
Always supporting fellow veterans. Liked and subscribed just for that fact alone.
Thank you! Hope you enjoy
Super helpful video. Lots of good advice that's obviously based on real life experience. Very useful information. Thanks for sharing.
No problem! I have 2 more videos that just came out! My 2 most recent explain soffit and fascia better as a whole. If you enjoyed this one at all you'll like the next 2 thanks!
Good job my friend, very good. You teaching and working really well.
I appreciate that
DON'T FORGET TO HIT THE LIKE BOTTOM ON THESE VIDEOS IF ENJOY THEM. it helps out tremendously. Also this video was originally 55 minutes lol I cut it in half! I'm working on shortening up these videos without ever sacrificing delivery. hope you guys enjoy. only thing I left out that I wish I had added was how I make a connection on my fascia so that the next piece accepts it without being bulky. I forgot to cut it in the one that I installed on the gable and had to cut it while it was up
Worlds Fastest Shingler Thanks man ,I been wanting to know how it all falls together.Looks tits!
@@raydar2427 lightly is fine if you know what you're doing. Makes it really clean. But yes I'd be lying if I said I've broke any less than 5 lol
That's some fine work there son, AHUAH!!!!!
I don't know how I stumbled on to this video but I enjoyed watching your craft. You are one cool kat
I was planning to hire someone to do this on my home build. Now I know it aint nothin but a thing.

best work I have seen so far Thanks !!
Thanks you sir for this video. I just bought a fixer upper house. Can’t afford much more so I’m doing the work myself. Been struggling getting someone to give me some pointers on this. I get it now thanks to you for this video. I appreciate it.
awesome! i'm actually in the process of editing a video as we speak that I just filmed framing in my flip house
Worlds Fastest Shingler Good deal. I appreciate the advise and detailed instruction on how you do things in your videos. I love the trade and have wanted to learn to maybe do some side work in the future but around here getting people who know how to do these things to share their knowledge even the ones that are retiring from doing this type of work is near impossible. Your videos are the best I’ve found in my opinion. Thanks
Thank you for your service to our country.
Nice job 👍🏼, here to learn and hang out for real, please keep putting more videos out with trick skills.
Great job 👏 👍
Nice work...!
Nice work. Never considered protecting my fascia boards with tin. Really looks clean.
just use Hardy Board .
SWEET JOB‼️‼️👍👍. Vinny 🇺🇸
Great job
Nice!👍👊
Pretty thorough video to explain what you were doing to someone who has never done this stuff before. It would be awesome if you could make more like this. I was trying to look up videos on how to get drip edge around the corners properly and UA-cam seems to be lacking badly. I'm about to search your page to see if you have anything of the sort. If you don't, it would be awesome to see that whole process on a new roof.
Super helpful! Thanks!
Thank you so much great teacher awesome work
You're very welcome!
I’ve been watching videos to see how it should properly be done. You did a great job explaining and clean work. I wish I could send the pics of my new custom home. They just finished fascia and it looks like shit. Contractor is getting an ear full tomorrow.
Appreciate the effort taken into this video making.. thanks guys

You got this bud! Be careful on them ladders and let me know if you have any questions
Thank so much, amigo, very helpful video to me.
No problem bud anytime
Great tips, thanks.
Home owner here, did my house and garage with a system like that from Menards. Soffit panel is solid vent vent sold. Started at the top of the gable end bending the panel in the middle and work my way down both sides. Makes it even in both directions. Would like to know how you finish the top of the gable with the facia and any tricks to keep things from buckling in direct sunlight if possible. It seems to flatten out as it cools ( thermal expansion sucks), but it seems to loosen the nails over time.
Thx for showing all the little tricks not many will..cheers
No problem 👍
Cool vid brother
Good job Man!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Thank you
Good job man.
👍🤠👍
Thank you so much very well explained video.
Great information! Needed this
great work
Nice job
Looks great!
Looks great!!
Thank you so much! As a homeowner having my entire house re-sided, including soffit & fascia, and getting all sorts of "explanations" 🥴 as to why something doesn't look right, this is Gold! Just like Math...order of operations. I have been cringing everyday with the "work" (I use that term loosely) that is being done. I wish I could do it myself, but I like being close to the ground. 🤣 It seems that 1" fold under is standard for fascia, but dude is using 1.5" probably because most of the soffit pieces are cut skewed and he's trying to cover it up. Then the reveal doesn't line up with any connecting J-channel. 🤦♀️ I just want to cry. 😒 Ugh! Asked why the overlap on the fascia long side was not pointing to the rear of the house for a smooth line of sight, but the vinyl siding overlap is facing the rear. He says it doesn't matter because you're going to put gutters up, right? I told him it should be consistent regardless. You can still see the overlaps under the soffit. Ok, I'm done now. 🤣🤣🤣 And, thanks again. Your videos are so helpful. 👍🇺🇸
Well done!
Great video!
Glad you enjoyed it
awesome Thank you Zack now i can do my house.
Good video man. I was a siding installer for 12 years, worked solo about 99% of the time. Specialized in gables and overhang using aluminum and steel, no vinyl. I used slightly different tools and methods but end up with a similar result. It's always good to see someone else who really knows the craft.
Tip for when your soffit ends right at the peak of the gable: Break off the first 4" section of that last piece by scoring it with your knife. Do it on the first line of the valley in the rib, so that the valley stays in place. Use the valley to lock into the previous piece of soffit. Now that last piece will die 4" from the peak instead of on the peak.
freaking genius! thanks for that. that was actually helpful for my guys screw it up lol
Great stuff. Thx!
that was great!....Good job on how to be a leader!
thank you sir! lead from the front
Good job
That looks really good!
