    Thank you for the video, I am looking in to getting one as well. Want to ask you, what is the distanced from spindle to the table with knee all the way down and all the way up, trying to visualize how big of work piece can be fitted on the machine.

    Have you been satisfied with the accuracy of the table and feeds?

      There’s a lot of backlash in the handles the column works great though. Actually wanna make another video of the pros and cons of the machine and the add-ons that I’ve done digital read out and power feed I’ve added recently.

    Camera motion and movement makes it very hard to watch.

    Do you think this is capable of doing small engine cylinder heads? Looking for ways to do 2 stroke cylinders and stuff with a small shop set up in the next few years. If this can mill .30 off the head of a blaster head to increase squish is what I'm looking to do.

      So are you just machining the surface or you trying to size the cylinder bore?

    I’m shopping around for a mill now. Considering this one or a precision Matthews PM 25 MV. Curious why you went with this mill rather than one of the column bench top mills with variable speeds?

      Adam Sheffield I went with this mostly because of the price and I had a 35% coupon at the time. The one thing I like about the 9speed mill is the up and down table. I really just wanted OK milling machine so I could teach myself how to mill. And it really depends on what you’re using it for. I use it for small square up jobs for where I work.

    will the bridgeport Power feed work on this?

    • @jagofff8385
      @jagofff8385  4 роки тому +1

      Raven4122 I don’t think you can just put it right on to the harbor freight machine. I think you would have to figure out how to mount it and it probably be more of a pain in the ass then just buy one from a little machine shop.com so they probably have the right motor to go on there and power feed.

      No it doesn’t you would have to buy that separately. I’m going to buy a motor and a digital readout soon.

    I don't know why you would say its good for small jobs implying "soft" steels .... that mill will cut high carbon steel all day long with ease ! saying stuff like that could shy someone away from buying one cause they would now think its not good to cut hard steel and only soft metals. how many times has some one pissed you off cause they was acting like a know it all but didn't know shit ?

    • @jagofff8385
      @jagofff8385  4 роки тому +6

      Steve Lamperta for one I never said it won’t cut hard steels. I cut T15 M42 A2 and S7 on the mill. And what I mean by small jobs is small in size.
