Not everyone knows how to do things as we do them in the United States.

Watched a city council meeting where everyone was pretty upset, I've seen police cameras catching a woman eating a cat, tons of pictures of Haitians carrying around Canadian geese (which is a $5000-$15000 fine for killing one) and people making tons of posts, pictures and videos of this happening. The city of Springfield official statement is just a "don't believe your eyes" campaign.

I saw an interview of a resident of Springfield. The city is full of news cameras right now and she believes the bomb threats were used to close the government offices because it would show the long, long lines of immigrants everyday.
That's exactly what stochastic terrorism is and people need to speak up about it more.
These people hide behind free speech and "it's just my opinion" but the fact is that this kind of rhetoric absolutely gets people hurt and those that spread it are absolutely responsible and should be held accountable. People shouldn't be left under the impression that as long as they don't commit the act themselves they won't get held accountable - just like Trump did with the violent insurrection attempt on January 6th - because that enables them to use this kind of rhetoric to achieve their hateful intentions without getting any of the blame.
Free speech was never an unlimited right - incitement to violence and defamation for example aren't covered. But neither should stochastic terrorism be. It currently flies under the radar because people can just claim they didn't directly instruct anyone to commit violence, but they know full well what they're doing. And it needs to stop.
I can't imagine the patience and calmness it takes to do this job!! It's soo hard to stay that leveled and calm with questions and reporters coming at you daily. She is remarkable at it and looks gorgeous doing it!!

Obviously, you don't have to be intelligent to be a reporter. That's apparent with the questions they ask over and over. I realize they often do this to try to get a different answer that they can twist and put in the news, but come on people! I'm really disappointed with the mainstream media and the way they choose to report misinformation, gossip, or choose to not report on some news worthy stories because it doesn't hold up their channels agenda. This is why I chose to hear more political briefings and do my own research. As an American, I'm tired of being misled by the news media. The news media has allowed Trump to get away with all of his nonsense.

White House briefings should be about briefing the American public. Not feeding the ego's of stupid journalists who use the opportunity and privilege to badger the White House with repetitious questions that have already been answered. Journalists should be identified and listeners should rank the value of their questions and boycott the networks (for a week?) that send these people to waste everyones time. So tired of this.

Didn’t they used to do this? I also agree that it is very frustrating for person providing the answers that the journalists keep repeating already answered questions, especially when they don’t bring anything new to the question. This lady spoke clearly and intelligently and was very calm even when being badgered or when that one childish journalist was laughing.
It is very very sad and concerning that so much of the current administration is having to spend so much time and energy debunking Trump propaganda and conspiracies. He is only saying these things because he doesn’t understand policies or have any polices, he thinks that telling lies and creating hatred to divide the nation will win him votes. Why wouldn’t he is won him the presidency in 2016. It is a shame on the media and the Americans who are continuing to support this toxic human.
His lies should be called out across the board as no one should be able to insult and lie to the extent he is doing on a public platform. Karine Jean-Pierre does an outstanding job every time she holds a press briefing. Personally I couldn't handle all those inane repeat questions - if they're not going to listen they aren't worth their press badges. Karine has SO much patience and grace.

The difference in the Tariff of Biden and Trump: Trump tariffs are large and sweeping and will drive inflation higher.
Biden tariffs are specific to certain parts made for electric vehicles only.
Why didn’t she say this? It’s very simple and much more satisfactory response than making vague allusions to punishing China for unfair trade practices. Punishing China is exactly what Trump is claiming his tariffs will do; she needs to explain as clearly and succinctly as possible why Biden’s tariffs are different. If there’s a reasonable answer, don’t give one that appears to dodge the question!
