I dont not know what it is but something about this bike I really love, maybe it is the heavy aero side in the front and skinny seat stays in the back but the bike to me is one of the best looking bikes out there on the market today, The wheels to me are one of the craziest stat out there on the market being a crazy 1250 grams for the set in a 48/58 configuration and still maintaining a mini hook to allow there to be no restrictions on tire configurations you have to worry about. I was shocked by the stock weight of this bike.
This bike is legit! It already won the Tour Down Under, Tour de Siisse, and La Flèche Wallonne. I love this bike and I like Rob Gitelis the owner of Factor bikes his vision about his company which I wish other bike company would follow. Planning on getting my Factor Ostro Vam soon. 🙏🏼 As always thanks for sharing GC Performance…
I just received mine 2 weeks ago, but I went with the Prisma Paint option. The biggest improvement I see between the FACTOR OSTRO and the FACTOR OSTRO 2.0 are the Black Inc wheels, seatpost, shorter chainstays, and the tapered head tube. I have both bikes purchased one year apart.
Nice video per usual @gcperformance ! We really appreciate you making the extra effort to get these hard to find brands /models. I also believe Factor has a lifetime warranty as well. 🤩🤩🤩
I had the 2022/23 bike and now upgraded to 2024. Both in black/carbon. Bike feels a lot more aerodynamic on the straight than the 2022 version, the gloss raw carbon in the all black frame is super sexy and on the new one even more visible than before but the logos are almost invisible on that all black colour. If you want to be seen and flashy dont go for carbon black, if you like stealth thats the way to go. Unfortunately the 2024 frame is heavier than the 2022 one which probably comes from the new head tube and thicker aero shaped frame in general. Factor is not being transparent about actual weight: the old complete built was heavier due to the heavy black inc wheelset while the new 48 58 black inc wheels are crazy light. If you make the same built on both frames you easily safe 200gramms with the old frame. New frame rides just as nicely as the old one did. This bike wants to go fast - both up and down mountains as well as on the flats. Sick bike but boyyyy is it expensive. SWORKS ++ territory, definitely a premium offering with no “cheap” options
Man im from Germany and here we have the Brand Rose and their Road series XLite they got some real deals full dura ace di2 and all for 7k and it starts for 3.5k for a full carbon frame and mechnical ultegra 7.3kg so pretty light would love to see your opinion
Mine is on order. I had last years Ostro VAM but I got hit by a car and it was totaled. Factor gives you a lot for the money compared to other brands and the quality was top notch.
The weight on the Black Inc wheels is NOT 1250gr. The Shimano freehub version was originally advertised on their website at 1270gr. and recently they changed it to 1290gr. However, I personally weighed a set of these wheels without the Valves and Rim Tape and they actually weigh 1361gr. False advertising and that is outside of the +/- 6% manufacturing weight discrepancy. Factor is also not honest about their lower weight claims of this new OSTRO VAM Frame & Fork. Cyclespeed Tours did a weight test and in his video he shows that this new OSTRO VAM weighs 200+ grams heavier than the previous model, which is way more than Factor claims in their advertising.
Great comment..how about the self-lubricating bearing bullshit? $300 ! these reviews sound like an ad where you read the claims made and accept them as fact..faster lighter more compliant...marketing now is hilarious and people buy into it..show me a pro with oversized pulleys...................

1361g with Shimano freehub? Not sure what else Factor could be referring to with "*Weight excludes tubeless tape and certain metal parts." besides tape and valves... +71g error is a lot at this price point.
@hobmarg Exactly! There are so many reputable Chinese wheel manufacturers who produce reliable carbon spoke wheels with ceramic bearings that cost half of what Black Inc is selling this 48|58 wheelset for, and the weight is similar or is actually much lower than 1361gr.

Interesting to see the new bikes front and rear. If you remember LOOK came out with the same back in the 90s, I think they were the KG. Extremely well made bikes. Also the down tube reminds me of the Giant TCR advance SL0. One of the best bikes I have ridden.
