Everything WRONG With Logitech Combo Touch ( Honest opinion )

- I've had the Logitech combo touch for about a week now, and here is what I find annoying about it.
I’m just giving my honest opinion on what could be improved on this product. i am in no way saying that this product is bad.

Here is what is wrong with iphone:
- the screen is smaller than macbook
- i have to hold it every time I wanna use it
- it is very difficult to read while jumping on a trampoline

all of these things are just things that either are the same as with keyboards, or you’ll get used to after a week.
We all look at things differently. So some might like other products cause of this

Let’s not forget to mention after having it for awhile the the edges of the case around the speakers begins to stretch out.

The updated version doesn‘t seem to have that issue anymore because it‘s multiple small cutouts now instead of one large cutout for each speaker.

This is the actual problem but ofc these UA-camrs that buy these products, use them for a week and then return them would never figure this out. It happened to me too. I’m considering just cutting those flaps off
Tips for U guys If have problems with Combo Touch…
1) If u have problem with weight, just find an another keyboard. Other Trackpad Keyboards are all heavy as Combo Touch,
2) Some people criticize combo touch takes up musch space on desk. Actually If you adjust in convenient angle, it would fit perfectly.
If you also don’t like this, you can flip over the keyboard, adjust again to the case to use as viewing mode.
3) Short Key Travel. Short key travel actually make the sound of the keyboard smaller. Beter than ‘Magic Keyboard’.
4) Opening the Keyboard, You can first adjust the kickstand angle and place it on the desk, than with holding the apple pencil, you will be opening the
Keyboard easily. (Well you will have to get use to this)

After a while the sharp edges will wear down, been using mine for a couple months and they aren’t sharp anymore.
Although they're not dealbreakers I agree with the annoyances you've mentioned. The edge could not be so sharp and the case possibly could've been thinner although because it is thicker it provides more protection.
Mine broke after 2 years. Pros good key board. Cons. Heavy. Doubles the weight. Also double the thickness of an iPad. Which makes it harder for some bags. Also the material doesn’t last and shows wear. Also I had to clean the pins about weekly to ensure it works. Also it take a lot of space by design. Some cafe tables are narrow high tables. It doesn’t fit. The one without the touch pad would be better. Also it shortens the iPad battery life. I get about 2 hours worth of editing tops.
The biggest problems is that it needs the iPad to power up. It means the flexible fabric hinge also has a connecting wire running from the keyboard to the case. Once is breaks from normal use the thing is broken and useless. The flexible fabric is too delicate. They should have a better solution.
Yes it does have its ups and Down for sure. Its funny how Many people that Seem to get mad at me for making this video 😂
U will get used to the opening. Use both hands. I use the part near the tip of the apple pencil as there's a bit of space there. I have used this keyboard for almost a year now. It has a major quality defect, near the speakers the material due to heat will expand and it sticks out and looks ugly as hell.
Use the space near power button
@Adithya Prabhu, you can only do it for Air, not Pro models since it doesn't have fingerprint authentication.
M8 to open it easier you can slightly move the keyboard itself to create a notch to grab it with the finger

You are supposed to put both hands on each side of the pad, and lift it up like u r trying to carry up a small container/box.
I had a Microsoft surface before switching to a MacBook and I’m so glad to be rid of the keyboard. It’s basically the same deal with the two separate components and it just felt so flimsy compared to it being built onto the computer.
Also you’re screwed if you like putting your computer on your lap.
To open it you just have to find the on and of button one open from there😊
Friend has a version of this with non detachable keyboard. Its very heavy and that starts to bother after a while, you basically stop wanting to pick it up unless it will sit on a table in a few seconds. Being protective is useless when you stop carrying it around. The build quality is bad, it looks horrible after a year or two. I have smart keyboard folio and consider it as a much better alternative - easily detachable, much lighter (although I still remove it when I use my iPad to read) and even though it also ages poorly (impossible to clean the outside, stains really fast and its all visible even though its black), it feels like a win comparted to logitech alternatives. Dont be fooled by "features". Sure, at first - logitech case looks more capable, but after a while it doesnt seem like it. Less is sometimes more.
Man does it really have a bad build quality??? I have read reviews which claim that it starts to tear apart after a while, Can u confirm this ?
@@ShahidHussain-vl6qs Yes it does have a bad build qulity the exterior loves to peel off started about 1.5 years into ownership although I baby my tech. But who cares it doesnt self destruct and the logitech one looked worse on my friend’s ipad

Kickstands absolutely suck for lap positions. I returned my Surface Pro for this very reason. When you factor in the space the keyboard takes up, then add the depth the kickstand adds, it takes up way too much space for lap use. Don’t even try having a flat viewing angle. The keyboard is the width of the ipad, then the kickstand can extend out doubling the space if the ipad lays flat. 18 inches fully extended, but even 12-15 is way too much space to use on a lap.
Keyboard does not feel flimsy at all
it cost my ipad to have ripples and when i take it out the rippple dont happen anymore only when i put it in the case. i returned mines

Mine is still good in the cover. But i must admit i haven’t use it on a daily basis.

as i've mentioned so many times, these are the things i hope they upgrade in the next gen of keyboard. it has nothing to do with complaning. things can always improve. if no one speaks up, nothing will ever change.
I have one for my ipad 10th gen and I simply cannot use my apple pencil without seeing distortions all over the screen. And all of that just because of the case itself: it is too tight on the iPad, and it applies pressure to the back of it in a way that if you put a tiny bit of pressure on screen, you see distortions all over the place. I’ve considered returning it, but Logitech has such a complicated return policy that I just want to forget the fact that I spent $160 on this, and simply buy something else, for instance, an ESR case w/ keyboard.
Damn that really sucks :(, i really hope that they fix All these issues for future keyboard cases they make. I’ve seen they made a new one for the M2 iPad Pro, but honestly I haven’t looked into how it’s made yet.
@@JimmiboY btw I actually ended up returning it. For anyone out there considering buying the combo touch - think twice, ESPECIALLY if you’re planning on using apple pencil.

It's not perfect, but it's a great budget alternative to the Apple products if you want a multitouch trackpad/ keyboard case. The backlit keyboard feels good to me- for a keyboard case.

I would say the heavy part is definitely not the keyboard. I wouldn’t say it’s too heavy to lay on top of you.

From my experience it's the best case for iPad I ever had and would buy again 👌🏻

This Keyboard is amazing, and it protects your iPad, not like the apple 🍏 overpriced version.

Ask for a replacement. First at the store you got it from, then Logitech if the former wasn‘t successful. It‘s a well-known issue with the old version of the case.
Mine stopped working after a few hours. Rubbish.

It’s heavy because the iPad is heavy. It has to be even weight or else it’ll just be too too heavy. But then that’ll be another you complain about 😂

I have it now from 7 month now and for me is just amazing, at the start i only use the apple keyboard but after i chose the logitech all changed. From write on the ipad, to watch movie. I don t know why he in the video leave attached the keyboard fro stay on the bed.
