Been playing stalker for too long, i can indentify every gun in this vid lol
Only footage of an SVU being fired on the whole face of the internet. Damm
The russians had quite a lot of specialized weapons, i think way more than the US had. I think the US had quite the opposite approach as the americans had fewer guns but were customized to the scenario. Also seems like the russians loved there machine pistols.
Russian CQB doctrine suggests that machine pistols and submachine guns are the best weapon for such situations. Also yeah, you are correct with your first statement, the Americans had way less specialized weapons but focused on modularity, mostly of the M-16 (AR-15) platform.
@@alexion2001 I love the meme of the AK being turned into a bigger or smaller AK to fit the needs of operators, but the same happened with the AR. We need AR for CQB (MK18). We need AR for designated marksmen (MK12). We need sniper AR (M110/SR25). We need a new support weapon (M27 IAR).
the US has produced plenty of specialized weapons too but I think the main philosophical difference is how much more the russians are inclined to take a prototype, build like 100 of them and dole them out to spetsnaz units or whoever to go try out in the field. the US is a lot more rigorous about testing and deciding what it allows out into a combat situation, once we're at the prototype phase we're much more likely to cancel the whole thing outright because of some minor technical issue affecting potential service life or something. probably better for the organization as a whole, a mixed bag for potential operatiors of these weapons, and a terrible shame for all of us internet gun nerds.
Russian guns have such a distinct style
Nice footage!
東側の個人装備ってなかなか目にする事がないからこういう動画はありがたいですね
Thank you! It’s really cool to see some of these obscure guns in action
My mans looking through a flashlight in the thumbnail
at .5x speed its when this video really shines
That was sick!
Awesome footage
Please, can you tell me where you find those videos? (Especially the OTs-02 “Kiparis” one)
very cool
Need every single one BADLY
Anyone know how much an svu goes for? I cant find anything, I'm guessing 50k or more?
id kill for the svu to be available in the states.
just out of curiosity why is it not available? or why are there no clones made that are available
@@PapaFunDip Well the gun it derives from is extremely rare. SVD's can go for 10k easy, and there arent any real clones of the SVD. The psl looks like a svd, but is basically the same long stroke gas piston system as an ak, just shooting a bigger round. the svd uses a short stroke gas piston system. By the 90's when the svu was developed in russia, there were several small arms bans in place in the us, as well as russian firearm export laws preventing any from leaving the country. on top of that (and this is kinda speculation as no concrete numbers have been released) there were really very few svu's actually ever produced. as far as clones go, the US can barely make an ok regular ak. the psa and kalashnikov usa ak's are generally fine guns, but there arent really any great ones. The svu is similar to the hk g11 in that its a low produced, niche firearm with awful export laws from their home countries.
@@keenanbartlome8153 ahhh. Cause I see many companies making clones/reproductions of older firearms but I've always wondered what was stopping them from making clones/reproductions of some of these Russian designs.
I can identify every single one by sight. Definitely a fan of the vintorez and as val.
Sneeki
Wow I knew the Chinese made a bull pup AK I did not know the Russians made one
You mean the OTs-03? That's a bullpup SVD Dragunov
@@wokedog1799 No the Groza-1 and 4 Carbines
The an 94 just seems to complicated. Forgotten weapons GUN jesus did a video on one and its disassembly is confusing
Pistol Luger 08 harder to disassemble.
lol
Shark shotgun
Most of these weapons were specialized for use by Russian law enforcers (FSB, OMON, etc.)
