Dr. Lori, I "met" you years ago, and you are so charming, intelligent, and good-natured. In a way, your great range of knowledge may be wasted on Goodwill shopping trips, but the are absolutely addictive. You are as careful in your analysis of the pieces as you would be of much rarer pieces worth much, much more. Thank you for sharing yourself with us.
I have a six-piece Pyrex bakeware set in amethyst (purple) that I bought in the 90s from either Target or Fedco. Some pieces came with purple covers. In all these years I think I used one of the pieces one time. Now that I’m retired, I’m finding so much joy in finally having the time to live out my domestic fantasies of sewing, baking, cooking, and trying new recipes to share with family and friends. 🥰
I bought a never-used CorningWare stovetop coffee pot in the exact pattern for $9.99 today because of you! On my stove for decoration only. Yes, with original top.
I’m still watching but had to say that I cannot believe how organized that Goodwill is. I’ve said it before but I had to say it again. 🤣 Ours has stuff stacked on top of stuff that’s stacked on top of other stuff. That’s a big store. Ok, back to the beautiful carp thing you just picked up… I love these shipping videos
Hi Dr. Lori thanks for the video! My Mom had a huge set of the Marjolaine. One Thanksgiving she'd asked my brother to take some out and we heard a smash. 😳😒 I still have a few of her pieces though.
Love that handpainted plate. Last one of those i picked up had two people fighting over it and it ended up selling for 120.00. Thanks for the amazing tips.
I love this episode, dr. A Lori. You covered all of the things I usually purchase when I do go Thrifting. So I did learn a tremendous amount of information since I Buy for myself not for resale. And when you said “ dr. A Lori, who knew” I thought it would be a good saying for future merchandise. Please keep doing these types of videos but don’t forget the others are just as important to us all trying to learn how to find hidden treasures.
I have a full Corning Ware (yellow bowl set) mixing bowls from 1977 that I have been using all these years. I had no idea they were worth a small fortune. I really learned today. Also bought a Corning cookware set, but I gave it to my son when he got his first apartment. But, it magically vanished when a he broke up with his girlfriend. It was the kind that had the clamp on pot handle. I loved them.
I would love to go thrifting with you. That would be a cool thing if you travel to a city we could pay to go thrifting with you for a half a day. We would have fun and I could learn so much. You are my favorite person to watch at these thrift stores.
I had an aunt who collected teapots....everytime I found one she didnt have I'd get it for her. After her passing I have no idea what my other aunt done with them. Her collection was beautiful!
Hi Dr. Lori, just stumbled across this video. You said your sister should collect tea pots. I do collect them. There are so many to learn about. Vintage, funny, designer. Big. Small usable and artistic. Hope you can talk her into a fun collection. Thank you for your time
I am a porcelain painter, I had a friend that was an amazing painter that people went through her garbage for pieces she threw away because she was not happy with them. She came across a few at antique stores. There are still porcelain painters around the word creating beautiful pieces.
fun shopping with you, as always! The blue roaster pan was so cool---I'm sure I'm wrong, but I swear in the background on a shelf I saw a smaller pot in the same blue, when you were doing the chicken joke thing. Maybe it was just a ceramic piece. Thanks for sharing!
Ty! Ty! If I lived near you I know you would be my very best friend! Love these videos of you in stores looking & valuing things. Would love seeing more of your Goodwill stores you go to & your great finds & if you ever check out their Mystery bag of jewelry & if it was worth the price.
I have the complete set of CorningWare Marjolaine baking dishes that I got when I married (the first time) in 1980! So glad to hear positive comments on the design, especially since I thought they were getting very pasee.
Dr. Lori! How is it that I didn't find you until today? I love thrifting and if I ever got a chance to thrift with you, I would be so blessed. I'm in Portland Oregon. You are halfway across the nation from me in Minnesota and I'm finding that the East Coast has so much more to choose from in their Goodwills and a lot of name brands that are vintage or antique. The watercolors that you picked up in one video were amazing. I would hang those in my house and absolutely love them. I started watching you when you were telling people how much their vintage and antique items were worth. I consider you as one of my best friends. You are so funny sometimes and your knowledge level of vintage and antique items is huge. I'm so glad I have found you here and subscribed to your channel. Keep the great videos coming! I love them! You teach me so much.😊👍 By the way, have you ever thought about traveling to different cities and make tickets available for people to go thrifting with you? I don't exactly how it would work but if even for people could go thrifting with you, those people would be so happy! 😊
Dr. Lori I have just found you this past week and let me tell you…I can’t get enough! I absolutely love you!!!! Thank you so much for all the help and knowledge you give out! It’s wonderful and so are you🩵💕
I bought one Corningware casserole dish in the Symphony pattern in the 1980s for my first apartment. About ten years ago I broke the glass lid and threw the whole thing away. In hindsight I should’ve gotten a replace lid on eBay. I’m going to replace the whole thing. 👍🏾
Wow. A wonderful education Dr. Lori. I have lots of Corning Ware and I use mine all the time. I wish we had a big thrift store near me to see what I could find just for the fun of it.
Dr. Lori, thank you so much for sharing your wisdom! My first purchase is a signed JJ vintage cat looking glass brooch, paid 3.99. I appreciate you taking the time to teach us and i look forward to learning more. Thanks so much!
I have a blue roaster very similar to that one. I like it because of the aqua blue shade of mine, and it's size. It's smaller than a regular size roaster. I use it often. Nice to know that you think $50. I paid $30 because I planned to keep it! 😂🙌 Thanks Dr Lori! 🤗💖
Love your thrifting Goodwill videos. I’ve been to two Goodwill stores where I live, but what they do have are slim pickings. Nothing like what I see in your videos.
Love, love, love when Dr. Lori takes us thrifting with her.❤❤❤ Like other viewers, I'm learning so much!💫 Thank you, Dr. Lori😄
Ditto!
I love it too.
Thanks, Dr. Lori! Love your comments!
Me too!! I hope she keeps going with these. She will blow all the other Shop with me out of the water! With her knowledge? Ya baby! Go Dr Lori! 🙌🏼
And me! Such fun and so educational! Thanks, Dr. Lori!!

She has been on Curse of Oak Island, The Liquidator, Gallery 65 (# unsure)
that I know of and maybe Pawn Stars. She's well respected in her field.

I’m a blue and white girl too!! It’s an addiction 😂
I LOVE when Dr. Lori goes thrifting. I learn so much when I can see her going through items on the shelf. ❤❤❤

Dr. Lori It makes me happy to see you put stuff in your cart while you teach us what to look for. Just one of us but so much smarter

I have had one of those roasting pans for about 40 years. Chicken, turkeys, and briskets come out great and moist when roasted under that lid!

I love this thrift shopping with Dr. Lori!
Unusual mugs are great to use for artificial floral arrangements and give as a gift.
Thanks for the video. Wondering about the lamps needing to be in pairs? I think in many circumstances someone would only want and need one lamp.
She is the best!! Hanging out with her would be so fun!! ❤
We freaked me out when you started put the stuff in your cart.
LOL. Thanks for the lessons 🌷
did you watch all of this video? surprise.
@@DrLoriV definitely. 😎. Saw you put it all back. 😻
