IMHO Shouldn't the aboriginals be preserving and spreading their own culture and beliefs? If they are converting to Islam, adopting their customs and beliefs, what will happen to aboriginal culture in the future? The road for Aboriginals has been a long and hard one, and there have been roadblocks on both sides of the highway. Suddenly some have found a detour to empowerment. have no qualms with anyone's faith - though is this true faith or a political conveniency? Their culture is much richer!!

Islamic law protects the good of peoples culture and only kicks out the bad! I’m a Scot but a Muslim and so my tartan is honoured and my kilt and my Sgian Dubh and even my Haggis if halal meat is used! Whiskey and free mixing between genders and sex outside marriage are all banned.
In Islamic law the prevelant culture of a people is used to interpret the law for example in divorce because if a certain culture has its own vocabulary for it then it becomes part of the law, the same is true for all other contracts in Islam.
Being Aboriginal and Muslim is not a contradiction at all because Islam is for ALL people and we are very very happy with our brothers and sisters and we love them.
I have Been praying for the Aboriginals since I became Muslim 24 years ago because some of my people the Scots were participants in the oppression of the Aboriginals.

That if anyone attacks them its like attacking the muslims. "Muslim overlords" lmao. The muslims in that state ALSO have to pay tax, but for us its zakat, a religous tax in our religion. This way you dont have to pay taxes except for this one thing, and that way 1) you actually make MORE money 2) if non muslims paid jizya and muslims paid zakat which muslims must, then no one in that country is going to be poor, i promise you that. Aboriginal people never had one word for the whole of the country because they had their own individual lands/country made up of tribes. There were many different tribes that spoke many different languages. So there was no universal Aboriginal language it was all different and many understood only close neighbouring tribes to trade into marriage or things like that. There where no other reason to be in other tribes that weren't your own. U mainly stick to your own tribes

It wasnt the convicts there was a group of people called missionaries that came here with the British that taught Christianity to our old people. Our old people were spiritual people and the message of Christianity aligned with alot of the spiritual beliefs of Aboriginal Australian spirituality so that is why alot of the old people converted
