I remember wrecking late game big brothers with the trap bolts. It's the one's that charge so they charge into the couple dozen trap bolts and flop over dead when they get to you.
I really liked both 1 and 2. they have some flaws (yeah, the escort stuff just sucks) but they're a good time overall. I consider them "immsim-lite" games. you may not have the same degree of options as more complex entries in the genre, but they are extremely accessible and make for a good gateway to those other games, while being a lot of fun in their own right. Infinite though... yeah wow. I like the characters? but the game is just a confused mess. they streamlined the hell out of (if not simply removed) the immsim aspects, going for something closer to an arena shooter. but it's just not a good arena shooter at all. limited weapon slots (and ammo), as well as a very low health pool push you to want to play it like a more tactical game, but the speed and aggressiveness of the enemies, most weapons' lack of accuracy, and the mobility options of the skyrails all scream "get up in their face!" (where you will likely die). completely half-baked mashup of several genres, stuck with the weakest aspects of each of them and few if any of the strengths. admittedly arena shooters were something of an anomaly in 2013, being a solid decade or so out of fashion. they aren't anymore, but that only makes Infinite look worse, not better. The Doom reboot came out only 3 years later, and there simply is nothing Infinite does with its combat that Doom 2016 doesn't do 10 times better.
Them spider dudes ruined my save. If you don’t get that picture right away you gotta reload and hope you have a save not too far behind
