How much would you charge to do 3 of these? Lol. Super awesome project, i love this video! I wish Corsair's LL120's would have a price drop already!
Could you guys do a 140mm design as well and post that one for printing?
Would so buy these off you
Awesomeness hands down. Wow. You have a new subscriber. I wish I had a 3D Printer. Amazing video of RGB Fans.
@2GuysTek is it possible to make more of them and chain them and then contol them with a remote controller?
If noctua made something like this for their black chromax fans I'd buy them immediately.
noctua will take 10 more years to give their customers rgb
@@dv2045 15*
@@dv2045 and even then they probably wont add rgb to the fan itself since it will most likely affect airflow. they will probably put rbg to the fan cage since that doesnt affect the airflow.
Sportsfamily77 I generally hate RGB, especially on fans, but this actually looks great.
Same
How are you guys not more popular?!? You have amazing quality content, and you deserve WAY more subs.
they were also properly reviewing fans, something rare
Help them out buy sharing there videos on your social media platforms, i agree this CH has high quality content!
Noctua : "Wait, that's illegal!"
We actually reached out to them and sent them a link to the video, they thought it was pretty neat. Thanks for watching!
Hopefully they will sell them soon then?
If Noctua did make RGB versions of their fans two things would happen:
1. It would break the internet harder than the Kim Kardashian
2. Noctua would single handedly end the PC fan industry the same way "Brutal DOOM" would end the video game industry according to John Romero
Sexiest RGB fan i've seen... and i really don't care for RGB fans but i want this one
Edit: Inform Linus
screw linus, sub to these guys
@@alexoelkers2292 linus always rant like a pussy
Definitely earned a sub from me with this. There aren't enough channels doing modifications to PC Parts like this
I subscribed almost IMMEDIATELY after seeing the amazing work you guys pulled; I was entranced by the light and ridges of the fans creating some cool looking patterns. Custom-made may take lots of time and effort at times but it is just that much rewarding. Keep it up!
Omg you guys killed it. I have to make 5 of those now lmao.
Good job guys! Really liked how it turned out :D
That was incredible! Most RGB fans on the market don't do it for me so I always go with be quiet! or Noctua Chromax fans for performance, silence, and neutral black colors. This would probably be the first RGB fan I would buy...if I could that is.
This is by far the best RGB fan I've ever seen! It's so elegant :D
its the benefit of putting an entire RGB strip. Regular RGB fans at most have 5 or 6 RGB LEDs.
Beautiful guys!
i want to buy these!
Noctua really needs to consider RGB for their fans. Solid work.
Awesome work! if i didnt watch you build it i wouldnt believe thats not an actual "Noctua built" Noctua rgb fan
Wow guys! You have some serious skills there, cant believe how good that looked! I was thinking at the start of the vid that without white fan blades it probably wasnt going to reflect that much of the RGB effect but man was i wrong. Maybe poo brown Noctuas are welcome in my case after some heavy mods.... Thanks guys, keep it up!!!
Thanks for watching!
man i love the tan and brown original noctua colors... the color scheme of intelligence !!! your rbg project was dope !!! try out the grey chromax too !!!
OMG that looks amazing! I'll be honest I stumbled upon your channel like 15 mins ago and this is the second video in a row I've watched. This mod is so freaking awesome! I myself am a small creator atm & your content is awesome I had to sub.
Thanks for the kind words (and subbing!)
Noctua: "MUH BEIGE! NOOO!"
They should hire you guys.
Awesomeness hands down. Wow. You have a new subscriber. I wish I had a 3D Printer. Amazing video of RGB Fans.
Glad you liked it! Thanks for watching!
great, love your guys' work
Thanks!
Please Noctua make these fans.. subbed solid content..
This is so cool, wish I could do it to a 92mm noctua
Damn well done !
WOW! Than looks great!
Yeah you guys deserve way more views.
id love these in my solar midi shame because this fan u made is pure shiznit love that cheers i subbed
Thats brilliant!
Awesome video!!!
wow that looks amazing !!!!!
I maybe too late for this but holly hell that is so awesome.
omg, this is so beauty!
ok im sold, send me a link to where i can buy 6 of these preloads at
Great job
wow you guys.. it's just perfect!!
without any aerodynamic obstacles..WOW
plz noctua is it hard? 😂
If Noctua ever attempts something like this I really hope they continue with the level of perfection they have strived for all these years. The last thing I wish to see from Noctua is a RGB fan with less fan quality than their previous products. When I buy Noctua I buy Noctua because I know I will get a perfect, high quality product. For mediocre performance RGB products I turn to other vendors.
One thing is missing.
*whips out can of black spraypaint*
Awesome great job! Question do you know how many LED's ended up being used around the fan? Guessing it was more than the 30 LEDS in Phanteks Halos Aluminum Frames.
Absolute legends.
Who has a hand from his shoulders - he can ! Good job, guys!!!
ps
will have to try))
What an awesome looking mod, I wish Noctua would get with the times and get some ARGB fans going!
im curious how this will perform vs a stock one as i imagine messing up the frame could change the airflow though it.
You guys make high quality content you deserve more subscribers sadly I can only subscribe ones.
Awsome 😃
that is very cool bro
nice looking^^ any chance that you can messure the temps of the leds? just recently saw a video about a rgb ssd that crashed with to much heat from the leds
omg noctua needs to make these but with the entire fan in white
Best pc fan ever wtf!! They should make this
That's fan-tastic!
...Baaaaazing!
I need 3 of these
Amazing!!!!!!
Subscribed when u only had 3,9k subs. See u later when u have millions. Just remember me ;)
Noctua now you know what you should going to do!
Perfect
Noctua you must do this!!!!!
Hi. Looking so nice👌it's beautiful😍 How many leds around the fan round? Thanks
Noctua needs to get their shit together. Theyd easily dominate the rgb fan market.
I would buy these..no doubt
As others said I also added a sub after seeing this 😄
You should try with the grey colored noctuas, bet that'd look sick!
and how did affect the thermals? Its a good content however i wished that there was some thermal details on it.
Sacrelige. I love it.
Went with the Phantex Halo as an add-on with the Noctua industrial fans I have in the front of my system.
Works quite well.
That's a much easier path to RGBing non-RGB fans without having to cut them up! :-) Thanks for watching!
Which ones did you go with? Looking into this for my setup. Noctua
@@Lighthouse727 I went with the Lux version of the Halo ring, with the main difference being a metal style shroud verses the plastic one
@@sdbegotist I think this was a good choice. I just installed mine and love the metallic look and feel (I mean, I'll only touch while installing huh? ) :)
Bravo!!!!!
wow cool
amazing
Thank you!
Can you please sell these!!!!! Or we just send you our current noctuas and you just charge us the labor and parts of doing it to our current ones and we pay for shipping to and from you guys!!!! I'd absolutely love to have this for my itx build but don't have a 3d printer!!!!!!
Verzula I need 12 of these
Good content
Im glad that I'm not into rgb. Im using all noctua fans in a closed non tempered glass case. But, I do hope that noctua will also offer rgb fans for those that wants them, even at a higher price.
good job men, im going to try on old sunon fan before destroying one of mine precious...
FANTASTIC PROJECT GUYS WELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL DONE Make sure you do a patent for this before noctua takes your idea..................:p
i hope noctua use this modular system
to press the price use current color for middle sandwich
and buy separated rgb diffuser middle sandwichand if you want rgb
Looks good if Noctua made something like that I'd buy it, as long as it wasn't crazy expensive.
I do wonder if this affects the fans performance as these games are engineered very precisely, after coming them up like that they may not perform quite the same. So if you want RGB fans might be better off just buying RGB fans.
But does it really work like the stock one? Like, noise and airflow performance.
*id love to have 10 of deez but its not in commercial scale*
That fan was carefully engineered to have only a 0.5 mm clearance from the tip of the blade to the frame. They had to develop a new liquid-crystal polymer compound to make sure the fan blades don't creep due to the centrifugal force. There is also a metal reinforced motor hub to improve precision. They showed prototypes year after year on tech conventions until finally they got it ready for mass production.
Then you saw it in half, glue it back together and stick some rgb in there. It was hard to watch.
just shows how well precisioned noctua fans are... it was a joy to watch.
This is my thought exactly, give it a year and the fan blades will be scraping their 3d printed garbage. They ruined such a high quality fan. Just put an rgb ring on top of the fan next time instead of inside it.
FAN tastic....
I guess I'll stick with Phanteks' halos "rgb conversion kit", but this does look even better!
Take my money !!
Sub and ring - amazing job!
I would buy this
Bet this would look good on one of their redux fans
You better believe with the NF-A12x25 in black drops we're gonna make some!
Do the four extended pieces prevent the fan from being screwed into an actual case or did you not experience problems with that?
Great question! In the original iteration of that 3D printed design they did occlude the holes, we later re-designed the 3D printed piece to fit more realistically to what the fan frame is. You can find the updated 3D printable piece here: www.thingiverse.com/thing:3334202 Thanks for watching!
What type of material did you use to print? Wanted to order from thingiverse, but there's so many material options
The print was printed in good 'ol fashion white PLA
Just do it already Noctua. You are killing me. I have being waiting to buy your coolers and fans. I see they finally made some black ones. I need the 12A in black. the 15 is too big. No more shit brown.
you can remove the fan blades without damaging it.
noctua is missing out on a huge part of the PC fan market by not having RGB.
I want one! XD
holding back on purchasing new fans because i'm still waiting for noctua to release rgb fans XD
Don’t hold your breath! Noctua has been pretty firm on their stance on RGB!
@@2GuysTek aaaw that's a bummer :( other rgb fans are too damn noisy hahaha
Is it possible to make the RGB fans a service to customers who wish to have the same for their PCs? I myself would pay quite a bit to just buy it as a finished product (don't really want to dabble with the whole building and painting process).
Please say yes!
Im makin 7 of these for my build xD
damnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn !!! awesome
but what if we don't have 3D printer???
Why Noctua haven't thought of this is beyond me 😂
Chromax got nothing on this
fix24311 seriously I had to settle with nzxt fans which are good but I would prefer Noctua any day..
Noctua will never stoop to the RGB level. Their fans are made with way higher tolerances and miniscule as possible blade tip clearances. As well as producing rotor wheels that won't stretch over time. No room for RGB when you make ugly, but very effective cooling fans.
Great Job Looks Sweet!!... and here comes the party pooper, but doesn't that ruin Noctua's best feature? The blade tip - to - bezel tolerances. Like a well engineered turbine wheel.
noctua take notes please
Would you say the 3D printed part is universal? I want to get some budget fans with PWM support and make them RGB.
Unfortunately not. When we designed this we measured exactly to fit the Noctua NF-A12x25’s frame. Thanks for the comment!
@@2GuysTek Thanks for the reply, I think I may just try and find some cheap RGB fans.
There are plenty of them out there for sure. We did a video a while back on a few that are available on the market, if you’re interested: ua-cam.com/video/miMOU1GNAFo/v-deo.html Good luck!
I would still suggest the fan blades with silver nail polish to varnished
This isn't a bad idea actually. It might even enhance the reflectivity of the magic mirror effect! Thanks for the comment!
I would like to ask what 3D printer is that you use?
That’s a QIDI TECH X-Pro. It’s a great little printer. Here’s a link to it: amzn.to/2Ydzvu7
If Noctua would make something like this one but only with white color blades, I would buy it in the same day, even if there will be 50 dollar price tag on it.
the way that turned out, i dont understand why noctua doesnt already make rgb fans
man if only noctua didnt take ages to release things id love to see a black 140mm of the 12x25 fan but at this point we still dont even have black versions of the 120mm or even a 140mm version yet
So could that modification be done on other non-RGB fans? Thanks & great design! 🤓
Possibly, but it really depends on how the fan you want to mod as been designed. This design was built specifically for the NF-A12x25 and would need to be changed to accommodate other fan frame designs.
@@2GuysTek thanks for the reply! Some spaced holes could be put in the original round frame, the RGB lights would shine thru, but think it would only put a point of light, not diffused. 🤓
