HR. Giger was the German guy who did the designs for the first Alien movie and got real famous after that. Whoever designed the Tool album covers was more than likely influenced by him rather than the other way around. 😊

I'm an author now but I used to be a construction manager. Most chimneys can be relined by using a sleave, usually a double wall round pipe. The exterior can usually be repaired and or repointed.

Thanks for this. I'll be repointing some of it myself 😅

Depending on the amount of work it needs chimney work can be quite expensive. about 5 years ago I needed to to have major repairs to my very large chimney spent about 12 grand.6

My friend Jack Torrance works on old boilers and is a great winter caretaker. Might be cheaper for you to hire him on for the winter and get things straightened out.

For $17,000 I could afford a live in Winter caretaker 😂 would be a great gig

Best of luck on the sales/bills! Considering Fourth Wing has been a NYT Bestseller list for 71 weeks (I know because I have to print the list out for work every week), I'm sure you'll find a buyer. Haven't read it myself, though several of my coworkers are anxiously waiting for Book 3 in January. 😂

As soon as you showed the quote, the word predatory flashed in neon in my brain. Glad to see you don’t get scammed easily.
Btw, can I make purchases with trump coins?? 😂
Good luck with your sales. Looks to be a mild New England autumn, so you have time.

Now that you displayed "The Power of your Subconscious Mind", I don't feel all that bad about jumping topic. I'm thinking, more word salad. Ooph!

The last book of Wheel of Time in the original mass market is worth a little money.
I think they changed the livery not long after to some newer crappier looking versions

Way off topic, but I just got through reading a pretty good book about WW@ called "Enigma" by Robert Harris. Not really that much about the Enigma machine, but not bad. I've always been interested in cryptography. The new book I've started "Supergenes", by Deepak Chopra adn Rudolph Tanzi.....pretty bad. The first twenty pages seem nothing more than word salad to me. The premise is that somehow we can manipulate our genes to our benefits through diet and meditation. The book was a gift to me. I try it one more night and then drop it.

I have been reading articles about diet and its affect on mental illness. Hard to know what to believe these days but some of it is very convincing.
Normally they describe the ingredients of word salad in the beginning then mix it all up later 😅

@@bookjack It's commendable that you take your time to do the research. But, I just don't buy into a lot of the diets that are promoted nowadays. I just think everything in moderation, even moderation. LOL! I only eat twice a day. A good healthy breakfast and lunch/supper. But still, I could lose a few, 10 maybe...or 20, pounds. I have half a kegger, but most of my contemporaries have full keggers.
