I don't really need one of these. I will think about for a few days to convince myself that I have to get one. Then I will probably order one. Good vid, that was fun.
There’s this bassist on YT named Hondo Felder that plays bass and does a lot with synth fuzz and that genre of pedal that you really need to link up! Regular Twitch streams and high production value content.
Would definitely recommend getting this in the hands of Patrick Hunter if you haven't tried already! Also the lads at the Bass Channel would be a good shout. Thought this was a really great demonstration though.
Sounds wicked, I'm digging the sound with both the distortion and fuzz combined, can't wait for mine to arrive! Would like to hear it through your Two10s cabinet
Bass distortion/fuzz... my experience has generally been that it's a bit binary. You can either get the sound you want but not enough of it, or when it's increased beyond the 'not quite enough' it very rapidly becomes unusable. Hitting the sweet spot can be a nightmare. This seems to change that useable window from a narrow slit to a gaping barn door. Not in market myself, but I'll certainly vociferously recommend this one as one to check out, for anyone looking for this sort of pedal.
+1 for Hondo Felder reviewing this thing, although this was a great demo especially for someone who plays with only fingers (me lol). Love the LPF on the clean signal.
I just received today my Machinist and I’m thrilled. I’ll start experiencing with my bass but I have a question : thoughts on a compression pedal : before or after the Machinist? Thanks, cheers!
I think that's a very personal thing - comp after will be more touch sensitive, comp before will be more even sounding. Depends on the compressor and Machinist settings. Obviously the more the Machinist gains are cranked, the less the dynamics afterwards for the compressor to compress. Experiment!
@@BarefacedAudio I don't really know any youtube bass reviewers, but I saw this demo of a Terror Bass a couple of years ago and thought it covered the attacking pick stuff well. ua-cam.com/video/PLPOF9myRTI/v-deo.html
arnoggeddon They don’t cascade, this is the important point! The distortion, the fuzz and the clean are all side by side - like if you were running a fuzz pedal into one amp, the distortion pedal into a second amp, and the clean signal through a third amp. Triple parallel!

Hondo's the best!
Fancy seeing you here! (I really want one of these pedals)
Dude, the blended fuzz/clean tone on the left side pedal was sweet af!

I'd like to hear this pedal demoed by Tim Commerford

Looks good. I could see myself using one. I currently switch between the Aguilar fuzz and Darkglass Microtubes X
Seriously serious sounds! 💛🖤💛
I'm diggin this thing!
How about a demo with a twin humbucker bass like a Thunderbird. That would maybe convince me either way. Cheers.

I need to see a somewhat aggressive pick player using this pedal to really assess it.
Jonathan Bott Any UA-cam bass reviewers you’d recommend, that I can send a review pedal to? If not, I’ll see what I can do...

@@BarefacedAudio I would recommend Hondo Felder Music, he has some very good stuff going.
What no scope with FFT running lets see it!
Fred Blogd We scope them for final testing but it’s not exactly exciting to listen to...
@@BarefacedAudio Yeah but as an engineer I wanna see as well 😀

Is the fuzz cascading into the disto or the disto into the fuzz?
