    CHAEYOUNG IS A GROWN WOMAN STOP INFANTILIZING HER 🗣️
    IDOLS NEEDING TO BE EDUCATED DOESNT MEAN THEY STILL DONT HAVE TO FACE CONSEQUENCES FOR THEIR OWN ACTIONS 🗣️🗣️🗣️
    IGNORANCE CAN STILL BE HARMFUL 🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️

    I totally agree with the bowing one.
    Even other races talking about cultural appropriation of another race is just weird like its not your business

    0:03 i always thought that term ment when they didn’t have popular company privilege? Am i wrong?

    • @velvettdream
      @velvettdream  Рік тому +2

      it means people who do everything themselves from their producing, music videos, styling, makeup etc
      these idols are all backed by companies where they go and train and get help for years, being a group that produces their own music still wouldn’t make them a self made group because they still have people backing them in everything else i think self producing and self made is where that mix up happens
      whether the company is big or small these groups still get help from them in one aspect or another

    0:20 no hate whatsoever! I'm just confused on how newjeans is a prime example when so many other idols debuted way younger than hyein. don't get me wrong, newjeans' cookie IS an example, but the treatment towards minors back in the beginning of kpop was a lot more messy and detrimental. I feel like setting a simple song as the prime example is ignoring the more corrupt systems younger idols had to deal with back then. not saying this was your intention!

    • @velvettdream
      @velvettdream  Рік тому

      definitely not my intention ! but i can see how it could come across like that. I mean more as a prime example for now since they’re one of the most popular fourth gen groups currently, and min heejins behavior is very much in your face.
      I know the treatment of minors was even worse and more in your face back then but i don’t think a lot of kpop stan’s are familiar with that so i definitely think they’re the most popular example of this treatment currently !

    Believe it or not, in South Korea not a lot of people know about that sign and while im not defending Chaeyoung because she DID do something wrong we should also educate her

    • @velvettdream
      @velvettdream  Рік тому +17

      chaeyoung is a grown woman who can educate herself ignorance can be harmful and educating her doesn’t mean she still doesn’t have to face the consequences of her actions
      you do not get to wear one of the biggest hate symbols in history and get off scott free

      As a Japanese person who sees the sign almost everyday. Nazi symbol looks different it is tilted to another side so we pretty much can recognize it

      @@velvettdreamI disagree with you. She said that she didn't know the exact meaning of that symbol. And do you really think that she should've skip a whole world tour for this stupid symbol and hate when her fans paid money and waited so much to see her live performances. Not everyone in this world know about that stupid symbol. Let her breath.

    2nd and 3rd gen idols were ignorant about n word, you guys need to come to Asia and see how many people have zero idea about it, I am 25 and finished my M.A. and I didn't know this 2 years ago, I knew this through K-pop idols getting hate for this. Yes, I didn't Googled because I never thought it was a bad word in the first place, all the American movies and rappers presents it in a manner that it sound cool, so I thought cool people say it( and I get that idea when internet wasn't available in our country)Also never said because not a rap fan, but have seen schoolboys call each other n word, not in insulting manner but more like "dude", "bro" manner.

    • @velvettdream
      @velvettdream  Рік тому +5

      being ignorant doesn’t change its history or the fact that it’s a racial slur if these groups wanna try so hard to break into the west and go global they need to educate themselves

    • @JonS30
      @JonS30 11 місяців тому +1

      Same here in the Pacific where I'm from we always thought that the n word wasn't a bad word because we always watch the movies where black guys say it to each other so we thought it's a cool nickname if i didn't watch kpop i would still be ignorant right now
