I've realized that when dealing with Resident Evil instead of asking "what has a self-destruct button" it is easier to ask "what doesn't have a self-destruct button"

Pretty decent installment if you count out Parker's incessant backseat driving and those damn spinning doors that took a whole day to open.

Big fan of the series, I remember the day I bought Res Evil for the PSX and first time those dogs scared me! I even quite enjoyed 6...but never picked up these. I am thinking about picking up a 3ds, mainly for Snake Eater but would you suggest these or the ports? Also if you have any suggestions about what type of 3DS to get I would be grateful mate 👍

5:31 i find it oddly funny that Jill someone that probably knows Chris really well mistakes him for a plastic mannequin.
I think it was the only "reasonable" way to have a section where Jill loses her equipment and be separated from Parker. Still, it is a contrived method to separate the characters.
Chris looks completely different every game he's in, & everyone looks a bit plastic on the 3DS, to be fair to Jill.
The best resident evil of the complete series next to Code Veronica!!! There is so much more replay value in this game than any game out there! Been playing since it came out in 2012, and I'm still playing! With well over 7,000 co-op games and countless hours farming, I'm waiting for Revelations 3..... Was very disappointed by Revelations 2!!! While still enjoyable, it's nothing like Revelations 1!!! And if not a Revelations 3, hopefully resident evil 8 the village has a raid mode in it!
Nice video. I really enjoy RER 1 is a shame that people throw BS at it just because its not identical to RE 1,2 & 3 you all have to stop with the nostalgia BS, this was actually a pretty good game.

I will do Danganronpa V3 when it comes out in the US later this year
I will cover RE7 when all of the DLC comes out for it so the story is as complete as can be before recapping.
Criminally underated game. After RE5 and 6 (both of which I genuinely enjoy for what they are), this is a great return to the series roots whilst keeping the updates from RE4. Throw in raid mode and its a great entry with only a few sour spots that dont massively diminish the games impact.

Even though this prolly sarcasm, I will say I feel this game is vastly underrated, the story is kinda dumb indeed, but the atmosphere, puzzle solving, and difficulty on hell mode defiantly made this feel like actual resident evil, atleast until we got the 2 remake lol

Small correction: by this point, the BSAA is not UN backed. They are an NGO. After the FBC was disbanded and the BSAA absorbed much of their assets, the UN took over.

I still dont get what did o'brian do wrong? And why did raymond even do any of his actions. He could have had the whole t-abyss virus to himself. And it seemed like he already knew all the answers and knew that the queen dido had the answers he was looking for. He really didnt need to pose as veltro.

I did enjoy the revelations Games, but felt they weren’t anywhere near as scary or gory as they should’ve been.
Not even revelations 2?!! The surrounding creeped me out in that game
Rev 1 had its problems of the awkward scanning mechanic, the rather small map, and underutilized main characters.
It didnt go back to it's roots as it links the amount of spawning resources when the player is low by using the scanning object and the simplification of herb mixing. The game doesn't emphasis as much of resource management as it is plentiful due to the DS' limitation of a small map and loading gates.

This good game should've been ported on the Vita as well, wtf Capcom..
Vita can't be emulated on the pc. This is why it died and it's considered a failure!
Vice versa for Revelations 2 considering it looked like shit on the Vita compared to Revelations 1 on the 3ds. Had Revelations released post-Smash for 3ds which ushered in a slew of games that pushed the old 3ds, 2 might've had a chance to be ported to at least the New 3ds. The added processing power could've even made it possible for it to run at a smooth 60fps like another Capcom title, Monster Hunter 4/4U.

Really glad I ended up liking this game as RE5 and RE6 were disappointments. Also, just finished RE7 to 100% completion (not counting the two DLC's that are out) and I loved it!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Revelations didn't feel like a Capcom game. If it was made by Capcom, that is. I'm not too sure, regardless though. It felt like if Nintendo tried to make Resident Evil.
It might be because I first played it on the 3DS, but I even played the Xbox 360 Version, the PS4 Version, and even PC (Via Emulator.). It still felt like it was missing some Capcom elements.
It felt like a Nintendo product was ported to multiple systems. I still enjoy it to this day. It's just, something was missing...

Bro the story of rev1 is way better than rev2, and I’ve played both games countless times. Also I think the atmosphere is way better in rev1. Rev1 has such an isolated atmosphere compared to rev2.
