  • Roofer and Insurance Adjuster fight on a 2 story ladder. A large condo complex was directly impacted by Hurricane Ian with severe damage. Roofing tiles were blown off the roof and scattered throughout the property and windows were blown out. After 5 months the insurance company has denied all coverage of damages without a proper investigation. When we met with building consultants/adjusters to discuss the damage to the property things turned south 23 feet in the air before the inspection started
    I am Lee Haight owner of RRCA and I am the people's roofer.
    Insurance's companies wrongfully deny damage and underpay claims.
    In my 20 year history working in storm restoration I've seen the worst.
    Now Im on the frontlines of Hurricane Ian witnessing it again.
    90% of legitimate roof claims like the one in this video get denied.
    The insurance company systematically delayed the process and denied coverage.
    I've dedicated my life to helping homeowners fight back.
    I fight to Protect Your American Dream .
    The value in your home is most Americans most important investment.
    It's hard to find a roofer you can trust and at RRCA we know that Transparency builds trust.

    Get on someone's ladder knowing it's a liability concern...get in their face and scream at them on a roof...mount a ladder and overload the weight capacity while someone else is still on it...and filmed it all so everyone could see you act like a fool. Checked pretty much every box possible for stupid behavior.

    This is exactly what’s wrong with Florida. Their insurance market is a complete disaster.
    Contractors like this manipulate the process, customers, and the legal system.
    What property owners fail to realize is the fact that all of this falls back on them with higher premiums and insurance carriers going belly up or leaving the state all because the swamp that is the insurance market in Florida. Meanwhile contractors are abusing the legal system with lawsuits and completely destroying Florida and making it more difficult to buy property because no carrier wants to write business there.
    Florida has allowed this to happen and the residents of the state are being taken advantage of by these types of contractors and have no clue how badly it’s hurting them.

      Most roofing companies keep their sales people ignorant on purpose, HAAG/storm damage training is pretty quick and all the information is out there for free but they teach them to claim any smudge on the roof and prep the homeowner before the adjuster/inspector gets there that they're going to deny because "that's what they do" "insurance man bad, we contractor good!". Just look at who has the incentive, roofers get paid per roof they do, inspectors get paid per inspection...

    Question?? Unfortunately, my garage is also attached to my neighbors garage. It's one building but 2 garages. Our side of the roof was reshingled right before we bought it, and the neighbors side is completely dilapidated and has a hole in it. It has been leaking into our side all winter and has ruined our wall and a lot of our belongings. What do we do? Do we call our insurance to make a claim, or do we ask them for their insurance? It's also worth mentioning that our neighbors are not the reasonable type, and I'm pretty sure we will have a fight on our hands. Knowing them it could end up being a physical fight the moment we even bring up the subject no matter how nice we try to talk about it.

    I think you showed everyone your arrogance. Get your own ladder as the inspection company technician is a 1099 contractor himself. He is required to carry CGL and W/C on HIS ladder.
    You didn’t have permission to use his equipment. What kind of roofer shows up to the job without a ladder?
    You had plenty of time for your introductory monologue but couldn’t make arrangements to have your equipment on hand? You had “5-months” to prepare.
    The ladder assist technician is not the person to blame for your stupidity

    I mean even when I worked for you in Texas 2014 the adjusters hated us using their ladders. Maybe this fight could have been avoided but maybe they still would have found a reason to make a fuss.

    • @LeeHaightYT
      @LeeHaightYT  Рік тому

      It definitely could’ve been avoided . These adjusters weren’t even adjusters . They had no authority to buy the roof so the inspection was really pointless. The whole ladder things just funny because we always loan adjusters , inspectors and engineers our ladders . I knew he would be upset about me using his ladder just didn’t expect that kind of meltdown .

    • @chadtowery7973
      @chadtowery7973 Рік тому

      @lee haight, your 100% lying right there. Those guys were licensed adjusters. Stop Lying to try to create your own narrative. It’s illegal not to be licensed in Florida as an adjuster. The insurance companies would not risk sending out unlicensed adjusters. Let me ask you this question? Why do you say that these are hired mercenaries? These adjusters make there money on the amount of damage they write, not by denying. If there’s damage these adjusters want to write as much damage as possible. You must have been butt hurt by an adjuster at some point or your just trying to get views on UA-cam. You obviously don’t know what your doing spreading all the lies you are spreading in this video.

    Excellent performance, but I would like to see the insurable damage to the concrete tile. We know tiles crack off in the bottom left corners from thermal conditions, but insurable damage to a concrete tile always interests me. Please don't take my question wrong, as I have had insurance pay 50K plus because of a few wind-damaged/broken concrete tiles (discontinued) from a significant dust devil in AZ.

    • @LeeHaightYT
      @LeeHaightYT  Рік тому +2

      Hey brother, that’s a great question. I’ll do a follow-up video with a thorough roof investigation on this property. Recorded wind speeds in the area 140 miles an hour. But I’m looking for is Lift to the tile or
      Deflection over 1.5 inches . I’m looking for half moon style cracks , missing/lifted tile , and damaged ridge / mortar . Even if only a few damaged tiles it’s the underlayment that’s the biggest issue . To bring the property back to pre storm condition they owe for replacement once certain tile underlayment are damaged. Forget that there is matching law and the tile is discontinued but that gets it bought as well . It’s the combination of lift , cracked tile , missing tile , water intrusion and mortar damage that makes this roof damaged beyond repair . Learning how to document tile damage and get these roofs bought is a complete game changer for your roofing sales arsenal . This is a 1.4 Million roof and potentially 4 mill GC project .

      @@LeeHaightYT Thanks for taking the time to provide your approach. I'm really looking forward to the follow-up video.
      Currently, I am dealing with mud-set sand-cast clay tile, classified as strictly cosmetic by the insurance company. The insurance company no longer considers this type of roofing system as part of the insurable roof. Some CRAZY Sh-t.
      Insurance companies do not want to cover roofs in AZ, and I'm dealing with a big difference in the approval process.

Frist if from texas they are licensed, second a jury while find him guilty of instigated dangerous activities, if he is a professional he knows its not safe to be confronting someone while on a roof and highly dangerous multiple people on a ladder while extended up that high. He's someone who must have failed to be a contractor and now trying to make it as a bs utuber.😅

      LOL these guys were not license in the state of Florida. After we won full replacement cost and benefits, they offered my client half price to do the roof. the HOA president was very pleased that we got the roof approved and that hired unlicensed adjusters sent to deny we’re dealt with . I agree I did create a little drama for UA-cam . But this meeting was pointless I was not going to convince them to buy because they did not have that authority

    you CANNOT use their ladder without their permission. If you fall and hurt yourself he would be liable. I’ve been on both sides in this industry. When I was on the contracting side I always set up my own ladder. You handled this very immaturely and dangerously. Id be surprised if you faced no repercussions. Also let the other guy down the ladder first before hoping on a ladder with him. You are a hazard.

    It's risky to climb someone else's ladder, you know? Considering it's a liability. Confronting an adjuster won't benefit your case or the homeowner you're working for. If you believe you were right in any of this, you're mistaken. I wouldn't consider hiring a contractor like you, given the probable issues and red flags.
