Our thoughts are very powerful, when our now grown daughter was 14-17 years old she battled with depression, I understand it is a very real and serious diagnosis. We went to doctors, counseling, she began medication....you name it we did it! Nothing seemed to help and actually she seemed to b e getting worse, by the time she turned 18, a switch flipped! Her transformation was so obvious to everyone and all that knew us! I was trying to understand what helped her the most..the .counselor, medications so we had a very open conversation. She simply stated ever so calmly “I changed my Mind”....I will not ever forget that very moment! Her mind changed and so did her life! She has been married 8 years with two sons 4&5 years old! She is happy and healthy because she changed her thoughts of herself! Blessings from Texas!!

4:05 So true. Becoming aware of something separates you from that something. This is what separates humans from animals, our self-awareness, the fact that we can be aware of our own thoughts and emotions individualizes us from them. However, when we just let them pass by unconsciously, they become ingrained so far into our habitual thoughts that we eventually _become_ these thoughts and feelings, or at least we believe so.

Hi Sadia. You really have the energy to influence others in a very strong positive manner. More than the usual content, I always found your SELF DEVELOPMENT videos very inspiring. I truly believe that to influence others it really takes a different level of connect and I believe you are so good at it. Please believe me that this is one of THE most simplest form of dissection of EGO. Sometimes you have people decoding emotions and how to deal with them, but for some reasons few of them sound complicated to understand or lack examples where you can relate. YOUR video was SUCH A GREAT help. Thank you! Again, please make more such kind of videos.

@@PickUpLimes it definitely is. I used to be a person that spend too much time overthinking - making myself even more anxious. Now after having read his books I have more control over my thoughts. If they go towards the negative, I'm finally able to stop them, bringing them back towards the present moment. Now I feel much happier than ever before, because I don't waste any time, I do things, I react, I follow intuitions, I'm here in the now. And I accept the present moment as it is and it has actually never been better ;-)

Of the many teachings in Hinduism the one that most influenced me n one of the 1st teachings I remember as a kid is ‘ahem’ bhav my dad used to talk about it n as a kid I had read n immersed myself in those ideology, I was extremely sorted... it says that as soon as u say or think ‘main’ =I or ‘mera’ = mine we separate ourselves from the universe. The concept of moksha was to fuse back into the universe as it’s pure energy form. I respected n cared all human being as my family.. I always considered my friends parents as mine n mine as there’s all adult were responsible for all children not just their own( it’s my beliefs, not that they actually ever lived like that but that’s how I thought) everything was mine n nothing was my possession, a fellow humans success was my success as well the pain of any living creature was a suffering of all the universe which includes me.. even though to explain m using my a lot but the idea is u r one with the universe everything n nothing is urs.
As I grew up I fought a lot, from a lot of abuse, trauma n genetics as well I have fought the ego n encouraged it as well as a means of survival. I am full with ego yet have this ideology that I grew up with. It’s in constant battle n m just watching it unfold n take me to various paths in life.

This was such an awe inspiring video that I began listening to A New Earth. The shift it has created is something I've been looking for... it's as if it went from an intellectual concept to a state of being for me. I'm only half way through it and recommending it to several of my friends!! Thank you so much for sharing yourself like you do!!

I cannot like this video enough. My brother recommended an Eckhart Tolle audible book a couple years ago but I was in a state of my mind I couldn’t appreciate him...I couldn’t get over his quirky style that made it hard for me to listen to him...now a part of him I enjoy that I’m in a better head state and I can see “him” and what he’s saying.
I think had I listened to someone like you I would have stuck with the book and listened. Your style of speaking, your passion and calmness in your voice is addictive and I find myself rewinding to re-listen to the impact parts. I am so glad I stumbled upon your UA-cam videos and website. I am a forever fan. Thank you for what you do and please please keep at it.

Hi Sadia, the way you already seperated the ego from our soul/self in your speech is really nice!! Makes it easier to recognise ego as an external feeling that should be kept away!!

Ok, soooo I've been watching your videos for 3-4 days only, but I just wanted to genuinely thank you and let you know how grateful I am. I can see your passion and it really what makes your content quite authentic. I am also vegan, so I started trying some of your recipes, I love them, fresh, different and so tasty! On the other hand, these videos are so needed for me, I really like listening to your soothing voice and take notes about self-improvement. I also congratulate you on your journey, as I can see you are very hard-working and you deserve all of it, even more. I just finished my bachelor's degree and I am planning to come to Netherlands and study Masters, that's why it is even more special for me to watch you since I am lacking motivation these days, but the feeling watching your videos brings me excitement and encourages me to start pursuing my dreams. Your journey in life and organic life style fascinates me as that's where I want to to be in my life. As cheesy as it may sound, I never comment on UA-cam videos but this time I just had to take a moment to tell you how much I appreciate it. I discovered your channel quite late but better later than never I guess :)

Just happen to be reading this book now again in 2021 and can't believe how it still applies...Losing the ego for me is when I'm really involved in doing something whether it's cleaning or cooking for others, chopping vegetables for sure...Love your synopsis and the blog. Thanks for sharing...

I've been struggling with some course work and putting off a presentation I have to do for fear of "not being as good as everyone else's" and just feeling scared of not being able to "succeed". This video really helped me shift my perspective and actually feel excited for the opportunity of doing this course without comparing and just enjoy the learning process. Thank you so much :)
