    Great video! Sacrificing pieces to gain position often means you are on the attack, thinking as a winner. Too much defense often leads to lost games. I love how you explain these traps.

    Hey mate. This is excellent. Just getting back in to chess after years of not playing. Was only an average player at best but now looking to lift my game. I've viewed a bunch of different chess sites on you tube and there are a few good ones, but the way you explain it really clicked with me. Straight to the point and good, quick ways of explaining the various options. You're an excellent teacher, thanks for taking the time to share. This really does help train my tactical mind.

    I only play scandinavian and center game and I didnt know these, its pretty cool.

    I figured out immediately the rook sacrifice when you paused but I had never thought of it before. Didnt think there were traps. But once you know its possible you can figure it out if the position is familiar enough

      You most certainly are in a council of War...I've never played a single game. THAT will change because of this series/movie. But War Council is a brilliant term to understand the process of thinking through the moves.

      Can't the king go to E 7 in the first trap??

      @@imodekillz5846 If the King goes to E7 then black loses its Queen on E4 because the Knight on F6 can't recapture the white Queen on E4 since it is now pinned to the King on E7 by whites Bishop on G5

    Trap number three black is not forced to play queen takes bishop but can play C6 equalizing the possition
