Those Eb5’s were so easy for Tori they didn’t even sound that high😭
In Tori's case I think she gained more than technique she became Confident af in the stage. If you compare her 2015 performances to now, the only performance of her that show that "I'm the vocalist of this generation" was VMAs one. But THIS YEAR! after The Masked singer, she's performing like a whole another person, and I love seeing her actually believing in her talent and being the diva she deserves to be

Right her voice don't need improvement tbh just needed to be a little bit more stable in those high notes and not as shreddy which she's better now everything else is amazing.
Ariana had ease but lack depth in her upper belts. She added some rasp and depth.
Tori had rasp but lacked ease. She added ease and lost some rasp.

Ariana improved a lot in this past few years, in 2019 on her Sweetener Tour she showed so much improve in her technique and since pandemic started she had a lot time to focus on her voice and her technique improved even more. Her mid belts are powerful and well supported, her upper belts have now more depth and texture, but she still has so much ease. She's even adding intentional rasp into her belts which sounds so great and it's clear she's doing it on purpose and it isn't hurting her at all.
Her lows became much stronger, she has strong projection to E3 and starting to be consistent with supporting to G3 and even lower than E3 she's not struggling like before, she even gave us this year fine projected C#3, which is really strong when we look at 2019 that she struggled with notes below E3. And she regaining her ease on her falsetto, she hit that Eb6 in Kelly's christmas special like nothing. And her control in her whistles also improved a lot, she even gave us phrased whistles and gave us whole chorus of My Hair in whistle register LIVE! I'm so proud of her, Ariana is slowly coming to her prime right now, i can't wait for more performances.

JoJo has had BAD anxiety… so her performing vocals were shaky, but when she at home….whistles and mixed belts..im crying
that's also what I thought, when at home, she belts out those notes insanely, but the anxiety comes attacking her on stage, but it's different when she performs on the masked singer, she became as a Vocal Beast! there
Besides their voices and technique I really appreciate Jojos artistry. She literally reinvents herself everytime she puts out a song

for me neither is better than the other, each one lacks something that the other has, but I think Jojo has the best technique
JoJos best vocal era to date is definitely around 2014-2016 before her really bad case of laryngitis in 2016. Ever since then it’s been a really slow and steady vocal recovery. She became depressed, had anxiety, and overall just not confident in her voice/ability to perform anymore since 2016 until her time in the Masked Singer. She even developed stage freight and that’s why if you see her more recent performances she gets shaky and sometimes flat in her higher registers. BUT the amount of improvement technique and vocal wise that JoJo has had over the past 2 years is CRAZY. She’s been working on her lows, mids, higher belts, mix, and even her whistles. Looking at her recent belts during her trying not to think about it tour, although sometimes flat or shaky, her belts are less chestier and brighter overall (reminding me of her 2014-2016 self). I’m very hopeful for her best vocal era yet to be in 2023 or 2024. This girl is CRAZY talented.
The “Mad Love” Era was definitely the best, & yup back to 2016, she sounded so steady with her belting range
She keeps improving! Her vocals on her most recent tour this year are honestly the best of her career. The ease, tone, and vocal choices she’s making are unmatched. Def needs an update!
That G5 on the voice was one of Ariana’s best. The tone was very round and crisp with a relaxed, rolling vibrato. I think with a little more work, she could gain shallow support that high in her range.
Since 2019 she supported some Eb5s and E5s an once she was even close to support F5. I think she definitely could support higher and she's slowly getting there.
She is pretty near to support that high, the G5 in off the table is almost supported, and she is supporting her middle belts consistently now
Queen Jojo for me he flower register is amazing and compared to the other 2 she is a mezzo but her technique has definitely improved. I love Tori as well
Ariana definitely has some wear and tear since 2021 began. She still has an incredible voice, but you can see that she's modifying how she sings certain notes so that there won't be too much rasp when she belts them. What I love about Tori is that you can see she's got it together vocally and mentally. She's got a great head on her shoulders.

But what I would like to say is that I think Ariana could be a lot more resonate if she worked on it, and I hope she learns how to balance and switch between the stylish light belting she does with some more full and powerful belts!

@@KoolKid_at it is a comfortable vocal register used more in the middle notes, usually with a mixed projection without much effort, it leaves the voice with a light aspect and sounds like a falsetto but with a fuller base, it's a technique used a lot in dynamics, a neutral point of the voice, it saves vocal wear throughout the song
btw - it works very well on Ariana's voice, it's a technique that I see her using more and more, but in some cases the voice breaks and deregulates in the notes that need more attention, but she has enormous control and dominance with her voice, so as soon as these slips happen, she fixes it

Jojo didn't hit that F5 effortlessly, the note is really a F#5 and she slayed when she was younger in some performances, those you showed are the only ones where she most likely didn't hit the note perfect technique wise, but great video!

That was an F5, am so sure, that was an F5, since I checked it on Tunner Apps, and the fact, on her previous performance started around 2000’s, her upper belts were so inconsistent, sometimes her riffs&runs also kinda messed, but thank to the Lord, she really gained her confidence, & improve her technique nowadays, Her Runs are absolutely the best, plus her belting technique is getting better

Ariana's supported range is F#3 - E5, she supported some E5s since 2019 and once she was close to support F5. and her consistent supported range is G3/G#3 - C5/C#5 (she's starting to be consistent with G3 and even D5)
Zitoma, she can support her entire vocal range. Support is a term used to define "Breathing Support/Management" so absolutely, Ariana can support her entire vocal range.

Ariana’s technique really hasn’t improved much since her decline after 2012. Her supported range has consistently stayed at A3-Bb4 since then, and her belts above that are sometimes strained to the point it’s worrisome. Out of all of these people, Tori has improved the most. She is truly in her prime.

Jojo is the one that sings with the most unecessary forms tension and constriction out of the three but you're saying that Ariana Grande didn't improve. Are you aware that Ariana Grande is freer than Jojo right? Jojo is usually the one struggling above D5 due to her approach. Her coordination doesn't allow her to sing easily above D5. Ariana improved more in these past 3 years than both JoJo and Tori. she improved every area of her voice, her support, her ease, her whistles, her lows, her breath control, her head voice, her belting, her mixing, basically everything. it’s incredible truly.
however for JoJo, while she’s still the amazing vocalist that she is, JoJo seems to be declining recently. her upper belts are weaker and the support is down.
for Tori she keeps getting better but her support is slightly going down and that rasp is disappearing as well.

If anything, Jojo is definitely feeling her way around her new and matured voice. She’s mixing better, especially on that G5, and has really increased her capabilities in her upper range.
