No, they're smart buggers, I'm sure they realized it's a laser and said "don't let this into your eyes, you'll go blind, let's bail".

yes, it has to be green. The standard red ones won't be powerful enough.

What is the exactly model of that laser pointer? I need it asap I'm going crazy every morning. They start making noise about an hour before i have to get up for work
Doesn't need to be a laser. I did this with a LED keychain 10 years back it's super effective when it's dusk or dawn and even more if it's night.
The crows I’m having issues with are out during daylight I ordered the light and they didn’t move you couldn’t see it
My children and me are been attacked by the crows in our garden for no reason. We have never done anything to them to provoke them. Is there another way to stop them attacking us without harming them?
It's probably established territory there and trying to shoo away anyone too close to its younglings. Probably best to try to befriend it and give some food and they will stop. Peanuts or corn or cat kibble should help.
I found the laser worked a treat with scaring the males away. I found the females are a bit more stubborn and hang around, calling the males. But the males are scared and are staying away. The crows around my area have been decimating the local magpie population, killing their babies. I love the call of the magpie, and as soon as I started driving the crows away, the magpies returned. Thankyou
If you ever do that and they don't scatter, it's because they haven't yet learned what happens when that's a gun-mounted laser.

A crow woke me up this morning when I was about to fall back to sleep at around 6:30, and I closed the door.

@@Luminousmoon_ Well, they all fly off in a right panic, but it depends on the time of year, for me they are not crows as such (these in the video are American crows, mine are UK Rooks and Jackdaws) in the spring they don't go for long because it's a nest site (I really don't bother them in the spring, maybe once or twice for amusment, but they soon come back) in the Autumn though they zoom off to their roos which is not here but about 3 miles away. I don't mind them really, except in the mid summer when the juvenilles are right outside my window at 4AM begging for food from the parents, that is irritating.

Even if you can’t see it if you shine it in their direction they will see the flashes

I feel silly for not considering that. I live in rural areas so the norm around here has always been pellet guns ect, but to be honest that really does not work unless a person takes them all out. I"ll have to give this a shot,,, er try.

That's pretty amazing how quickly they scattered. Man! They're loud even when they're so far away. How quickly do they come back?
I once had a group of racoons chase a laser around on my neighbors roof from out my bedroom window. Seriously the closest I've come to pissing myself from laughing so hard. (The racoons were pretty smart though. I'm pretty sure they knew I was controlling it because they looked up at me whenever they heard the laser button click. But they seemed utterly fascinated by the laser and just wanted to chase it. My cats however think it's an actual creature that lives in the wall.)
They basically just all moved to another tree but it was far enough away that I couldn't hear them anymore so I left them alone.
@@BestArtist do you think if you blasted the call of a hawk or something they'd fly away? Now there are a bunch of crows trying to make appointments at the optometrist.
@@SheldonBeldon I'm not sure hawks are a natural predator of crows. That might work on pigeons though.

....so they won't wake you up in the morning is not a reason to point a cheap; green laser at them......this can blind them.....or end their lives.....Nature--- ought not to be expected to rotate around us...

Maybe mention a disclaimer that if a plane was flying by as you did that, it could legitimately blind the pilots.

One you need an expensive laser pointer and two even if you had one the chances of hitting a plane directly towards the windows are super slim unless you’re doing it intentionally
Couldn't this seriously hurt the crows? If a green laser can permanently damage the eyes of people, it seems like the same could happen with crows.
