I rescued a crow with a broken wing and dislocated leg, we named her Sheryl. We kept her safe in our backyard for over a month while she healed. Her family (a family of crows is actually called a ‘murder’) visited her everyday. They would bring gifts, food, talk and just come check on her. One day she just flew away. It was such a sweet experience. After that, we still had crows come visit us and leave random trinkets in our backyard. Gifts? We’re not sure but we enjoyed it. Crows have the intelligence of young children and actually have names, or specific sounds they make for the members of their family. Really neat birds despite the bad rep they get.

Imagine someone bothering to make you decaf coffee, apart from his own coffee, every day, even though you're not gonna drink it....that's love

Crows are incredibly intelligent. They can sense if you’re well intended. If you gift them food they will inform other crows about you.

It even has a human level understanding of coffee. Cafes aren't about the bean water, it's about hanging out while having expensive bean water in front of you.

The bird’s desire to socialize and interact is remarkable.

Fun Fact: Crows have been studied and found to be one of the smartest animals in the world - close to 6-7 yr old humans. Dolphins & chimps have higher IQ. But crows are better at problem solving

I am 70 yrs young. I had pet crows on the Farm when I was a teenager. The first was out of the nest and fed it with a Eye dropper! I use to feed him ground meat ,vegetables and even mice! He was loose and would fly out in the field with us as we picked the crops! Very, Very INTELLIGENT birds! Curious and very Mischievous and a lot of Fun to watch with the dogs and cats! They were all buddies! Would say HELLO and HAY JOE! I Really enjoyed them and LEARNED a lot from them about Nature!

This is wonderful! Crows are amazing and so smart. I taught a young crow to "whisper" instead of screaming outside for attention. I never thought that it was possible with a wild crow who isn't used to being so close to humans, but he lands in my tree "whispers" every time he comes by.

If humans in general were this empathetic and kind. This world would be incredible.

Crows are very family oriented, one of their numerous terrific traits!

You never do forget . I had a jackdaw from when I was about 13 . Some older boys had shot the parents and the young fled but I found the “runt” cowering in some long grass and I had him for many years. He remained totally free but continued to be our family’s friend for all that time .

There’s a story about a little girl that shared her lunches with crows. They started to bring her gifts. Little flowers and beads. Nice story. So adorable. When man is able to touch the wild. It’s just so remarkable.

I love crows, they’re so sweet and extremely smart. They’re misunderstood creatures.

As someone who raised two baby crows, this melts my heart. When I was about 9 yrs old my big male cat had gotten a hold of two baby crows that tried to either fly out of the nest or perhaps fell out. Anyhow, one had an injured wing and the other an injured leg. My neighbor who was a natural healer helped me put a poultice and splint the injured leg with a popsicle stick. 🥹 I was the momma to these two amazing creatures for over a year. I would help exercise their wings by having one in each hand holding their feet while raising them up and down. It was a sight to see. 😂 Then, one day after about a 18 months they flew off together. I was sad and worried but they would come back to be fed every day for several months. Then they just stopped coming, so I knew my job was complete. I feel so grateful for that experience. It is wonderful to have such an amazing connection with animals you wouldn’t expect to. Some people think that crows are a problem bird but they don’t know how incredibly smart, sensitive and loving they are. When they are in a flock and one of them is injured or killed, they grieve just like we do. Crows are very special. 🦅♥️🦅 Thank you for this lovely video. 😊🥰
