This song used to be huge back in '00-'01, was played on the radio and MTV all the time... Limp Bizkit was on top of the wolrd in the late 90's and early 00's
Mostly because they've already proven themselves as a quality act 20 years ago. They're really only still somewhat relevant because of how insanely popular they were in 2000. They've achieved legendary status and it's impossible to dismiss them. But they're not on top anymore, you're never gonna hear them on the radio again and they're definitely not gonna outsell Ariana Grande nowadays, like they used to outsell Britney Spears back then.
This song just puts that hype in you, I remember getting hype when it came out 20 years ago. And listening to it 2 decades later it still puts that hype excitement in me. 🤯
This song was played a lot on the radio during the 2000s when I was a teen. It gained more notoriety after Undertaker from WWE used it as a theme song. The style is called Nu-Metal. It's a blend of hip hop, rap and metal. Limp Bizkit was one of the pioneers of this style alongside others like Slipknot and Mudvayne to list a few. Fun fact: It's been a long time, so people usually don't recognize it, but the band made this video on the rooftop of the Twin Towers before 9/11.
I grew up in the DC area, Fairfax County to be exact and they usually played stuff by Limp Bizkit,Korn,Deftones all that Nu Metal,Alt Metal,Punk etc. on 99.1 HFS. DC 101 started to play that stuff early 2000s, like maybe 2000 or 2001ish. I haven't listened to traditional radio in over 20 yrs now so i wouldn't know what station they would play this style of music on, possibly DC 101 since HFS left and moved to Baltimore. DC 101 back in the 90s was mainly a classic rock station, 50s-early 90s rock, so Beatles to GNR. Also interesting fact about HFS when it was in DC, during the HFS festival in 2002, they had Eminem come for a surprise performance causing massive tidal wave of people that caused a stampede since no one knew he was going to be there, it was a rumor at best. He premiered The Eminem Show there and people got injured due to the stampede which is why concerts and festivals now have a crowd divider... well that and mosh pits.
5:00 Why I hate everyone that "labels" music. I was raised on grunge/hiphop so naturally liked Limp Bizkit, Linkin Park, Red Jumpsuit Apparatus. It doesnt matter it's a heavy riff with strong vocals. Like a Journey, Deep Purple, Journey. Toto- Love isn't always on time. Black Sabbath Paranoid
@@LFRFAMILY this was some 20 years ago but if I remember correctly he announced the time and place publicly and people showed up, he didn't get the proper permits and everything necessary, lots of safety issues, however, I like your idea much better 🤣

Interesting little fact. Besides Fred Durst being the lead singer for Limp Bizkit. He's also a director. Fred Durst directed the 2008 movie called the 'The Longshots' starring Keke Palmer and Ice Cube.
I haven't been back to DC since my dad passed in 89 and i forgot all about GoGo. I remember there was a song 'i need money' or something like that and i loved that song. Thanks for the memory.
This song is really good! Fred Durst has a beautiful voice in this song and it shows how talented he is that he isn’t just into rap, I played it endlessly.
It was a top song back in the days, the song Break Stuff has Eminem, Snoop Dogg, lead singer of Korn and bunch of other guys in the music video. Limp Bizkit was real popular toward the late 90s early 2000s era
Holy shuffluffles... this reaction made me feel old af, but in a good way. Turn up to LB 24/7 back in the day. Love that you on some old skool reacts ❤
This is Numetal. It was huge and changed the land scape of rock music. It gave birth to some great groups. Bizkit, Korn, Linkin park, papa roach, and more
You are totally right about it sounding hip hop. For people like me who loved alternative, metal and hip hop Limp Bizkit was a perfect mix of that :) I also get that combo from Grandson a bit, less energy, more political but still a mix of hip hop and alternative. As a half-breed myself I love fusions I guess lol
In Cancun Mexico I introduced people from the Midwest to go go. Love that I grew up in MD close to DC to have all the gogo Junkyard Rare Essence those are my two favorites
When Fred Durst came into the scene; he originally wanted to be signed as a rapper. The record label told him that the industry already had Eminem as a "white rapper" and if he wanted to be signed then he had to form a rock band. Fred infused his emcee rapping skills with rock to form Limp Bizkit as an alternative rock band. I believe this was also a similar situation with Kid Rock.
I think this song is a modern take on the Hokey Pokey. y'know, "put your right foot in, take your right foot out, put your right foot in and you shake it all about"
Yea this was a great song. Also the video released along the same time as the one for "My Generation " which you hear some of playing at the beginning. Also the breakdancer is a guy named Mr. Wiggles Definitely worth checking out the Urban Assault version of Rollin
This is an absolute banger! 🔥 The music video was filmed on one of the WORLD TRADE CENTER buildings around ONE YEAR (August~September 2000) before the 9/11 attacks in 2001. Limp Bizkit won an award at the MTV Awards in early September 2001 and even received a "Thank You" letter the *World Trade Center* personal on SEPTEMBER 10, 2001...
this type of metal is called nu metal!! it mixes aspects of both heavy metal and rap which is why some of their songs sound more like rap songs and some sound more like metal songs. some other bands under this genre: slipknot, system of a down, deftones, korn, and kittie :)
@Dilligent Yeoman unlike most people, I HATE Triple H. But he was good in the third one. I like all the blade movies because its blade. I only mentioned the first because Dorff played the bad guy.
They would play this song at clubs and high school dances back in the day. People went nuts. This song and back that arse up by Juvenile always got people going crazy

I’m am more than willing to admit I’m a Limp Bizkit fan ! I know they have their haters! I saw them back in the day at a few festivals and other shows. People can talk trash all they want, but when they took the stage and just let it all out, the vibe took everything over. The pit was as intense as any hard core show. I wasn’t sure if rap/rock was good or not at first. As far as I’m concerned from my timeline, Aerosmith DMC collaboration was the first big success/controversy when they did Walk this Way. Aerosmith and DMC fans were mad. But it was still a hit. Anthrax and Public Enemy stirred the mix up with Bring the Noise. I feel that they set the stage for a moment
THANK YALL FOR CLICKING PLAY!!! What up Guys!?
He does a cover of Behind Blue Eyes. Beauty.
Please do Counterfeit by Limp Bizkit as well that song was 1 of their 1st hits if not their 1st single before Faith was released

Have you heard the Urban Assault Remix featuring Method Man, DMX, and Redman? That one is good too!
Yeah, the remix is pretty dope.
hella better than the original imo. beat is fire
