When there's water on the floor, you most likely have a clog drain line or clogged water tray.

One problem that you could experience with your refrigerator is water leaking from inside the refrigerator out onto your floor. This is usually caused by an obstruction such as gunk build up in the drain line or in the tray located behind the control panel in the fridge compartment.
If you are experiencing water leaking from your refrigerator out on to the floor these simple trouble shooting tricks may help and save you hundreds of dollars.
Before you start you will need to deenergize the refrigerator by either unplugging the refrigerator from the wall or going to the fuse panel and turning off the breaking that controls electricity to the refrigerator. This is very important as you will be using metal tools around electrically charge components in the refrigerator.
I then begin to trouble shoot why water is leaking from the refrigerator out onto the floor.
My first point of trouble shooting is to look for a drain line blockage at the bottom rear of the refrigerator.
I start by removing the back panel which is located on the rear bottom side of the refrigerator. All you need is a Phillips screw driver to remove 6-8 screws which hold the panel to the refrigerator. after removing the panel I look for a drain line that begins in the upper part of the refrigerator and leads down into the evap. tray. This drain line allows the water from the defrost cycle to drain smoothly and freely to the tray where the water will naturally evaporate over time. I this case my refrigerator does not have an external drain line that drains the water into the evap. tray. The drain line is located inside the back refrigerator wall which then leads down into the evap. tray. Unfortunately, with the drain line as such it is not accessible to investigate for any blockages.
I then proceed to my second point of troubleshooting and that is in behind the refrigerator control panel. Behind the refrigerator control panel is a tray that catches the water from the defrost cycle. From that tray there is a nipple, drain, spout that inserts into the back of your refrigerator that connect the tray to the water drain leading to the evap. tray. That is where I want to check for any obstructions, gunk build up and blockages. To do this there are two screws that are located at the from that rear of the control panel that need to be removed as seen in the video. From there you will need to disconnect the electrical harness by pressing in on a plastic clip which releases the wiring from the control panel. After removing the two screws and detaching the electrical harness gently wiggle back and forth the control panel slowing loosening the tray from the refrigerator. Once the tray is disconnected from the refrigerator remove the control panel and tray which is attached out to investigate for blockages.
From my investigation I see that the plastic nipple, drain spout that leads from the water tray into the drain line was plugged full of gunk and grime. I take the control panel and carefully wash out the water tray and use a Q-Tip to clean out the plastic nipple, drain spout that attached to the fridge. Once that is cleaned out then you can reassemble.

Bummer. The tube is all internal to the box? Some brands, can see the tube from the rear.
Cleaning that SPOT will need to be added to routine maintenance?
Every 5 years if large family size.
