So I learned two things 1. Plateau Peak is a legendary meme master. 2. Andy is a legit madman for doing that not just at SL1, not only at 15fps, but away from his actual computer for most of that run! That's insanity!

Also, I’m not sure if meaty Jesus got it from challenger Andy but he also did the 0 button press jumping cheese to ceaseless discharge.
The funniest part is that in the live chat, Andy was commenting "Lemon you told me to send you everything!" when Lemon mentions the hours of footage of Andy standing still. Which I adore.

Both of them were absolutely insane man. Both maxed out scores, killed Four Kings, killed Ceaseless without Dark Bead. Andy did it mostly at level 1 while playing on something as strong as a PSP, and Meaty reloaded his Manus fight after he finally killed him because he needed to avoid hit trading to get the extra point.
I love that Plateau is just invisible for 90% of the video, then suddenly 'OMG he actually farmed the Dragon scales, he's insane!' It's very on brand for him.
This, when the timer ran out and he cut after announcing his final score, I was like: what? no 1 day extension to see how far he can speedrun even if it's not counted for true scoring - I mean it's not like you had to verify much of his content, he didn't level till the last day :P (and I wouldn't care if he dupped scales to get a oneshot run with off meta stuff, it'd still be insane content and we all know you can theoretically farm as many as you want from the getgo)

I love how Lemon has evolved from 'hey it's Lemon' intros, into a narrator that draws your interest in the story he has to tell, with the way that story is told. I've been a fan for years, and I really think you have a gift for crafting stories to go with the challenge runs you upload

Its great to finally see this released since the reason I initially discovered Lemon's channel was from watching Meaty Jesus's video on this run. And its just insane the amount of content that was watched and edited for this video to come out. Truly beyond impressive on everyone's ability to execute this.
My single regret regarding my DS3 run was i didn't get to join this amazing collection of content creators. Or get to showcase the time it took to grind for dragon scales. Fantastic video Lemon!

"DId you know the Reinforced Club was this viable??" Yes! It's actually my go-to sidearm for magic runs. You have your main weapon dealing your elemental choice for the run, and then the R. Club left uninfused as a non-elemental backup for anything that resists your main element (and, you know, for magic buffs for even _more_ of your main element's damage lol). It's relatively light, has Bleed, and does way more raw damage than you'd expect from a weapon of its weight class. It's really good! lol Also shoutouts to Plateau, oh my god LMAO
"Did you know the Reinforced Club was this viable?" was more in context of this challenge run. Ofc it is a great weapon on normal playthroughs, but would you expect a 4 foot stick with some nails on it to kill quelag in a single hit

Usually when i wait for a video like this it happens to be a major let down, the editing Incredible, the jokes untameable, I smiled the entire 3 hours i spent rewatching this masterpiece, being able to watch masters of there craft show there skills was a gift i never knew i wanted. Every runner did amazing and backlogs I think your the only youtuber that could have put this together. This might go down as one of the most impressive Dark Souls Runs ever.
I feel your editing pain. People who do not articulate proper file names, structures and notes are monsters. Thank you for putting this all together though it's absolutely brilliant.
Meaty jesus was completely a psycopath for doing manus twice... The dedication of the runners is incredible. Manus was a milestone of dedication, but the Four Kings fight was groundbreaking. They all deserve a round of thunderous applause.

I have been absolutely buzzing to finally see the contest video come to fruition after accidentally stumbling onto Meatys video several months ago. This was amazing to watch such feats of patience and insane behaviour. And a few new challenge run channels to boot. 10/10 lemon, no notes.

Usually when i wait for a video like this it happens to be a major let down, the editing Incredible, the jokes untameable, I smiled the entire 3 hours i spent rewatching this masterpiece, being able to watch masters of there craft show there skills was a gift i never knew i wanted. Every runner did amazing and backlogs I think your the only youtuber that could have put this together. This might go down as one of the most impressive Dark Souls Runs ever.
I feel your editing pain. People who do not articulate proper file names, structures and notes are monsters.

Now having watched ... a concerning amount of your videos within a month, I come back to watch this again because its so good. I hear rumors that a Dark Souls 2 version is in the works. Looking forward to seeing that (late 2025 probably)
