I've had an S2000 since 2008 and can't part with it. Not because it is a powerful car, but because of the love vibrations it transmits when you drive it. It's so pure, rough, light and the chassis is so sincere, the sad thing is that they will never make cars like this again...today we face the total decline of sports cars. Of course, Porsche continues to produce the GT3, but more affordable cars are now disappearing. Do you know what's there? I hold onto my S2000 tightly, sunglasses, top down and off I go over the Italian mountain passes: pure driving enjoyment. Love from Italy.
In America, we have a good saying about S2000s, "The AP2 is the better car. But the AP1 is the better S2000" AP2 is easier to live with because of the torque and easier to drive because the suspension geometry is more relaxed but the AP1 is crazy with the 9000rpm redline and the twitchy early suspension. I wish we got the later AP1s with the revised suspension but I like my 2002 AP1 Honda S2000 a lot :D
@@bluetitan20 It has been done before. Actually, since you commented it's made me think about doing a similar subframe swap. Once you sell the AP1 parts it shouldn't be that much more expensive and you get OEM reliability without any weird effects from aftermarket control arm setting. I want to do a rigid collar install on my S2000 at some point so I might swap subframes at that point but we'll see ;)
Maya so adorable and looks a little shy around Nobu lol. Kind of funny how this started like a quiz about the S2k lmao By the way, us here in the US also have to wait a really long time for stuff to get shipped from Japan 😂😂😂 Lmao when they were asking about the the Blue S2k, I feel like Nobu wants to say “Why did you buy an S2 if you just want to do a city drive” haha The yellow S2 owner has a point. You can only see one side of the car therefore, he put 2 different rims on each side. 😂 I really like Nobu’s style of interview

I've always wondered, is it possible to put the suspension from the AP2 into the AP1?
That might give you the best of both worlds then.
