    Carry a cane, no one can ask you why you have it, HIPAA, and no one can take it from you (legally) ADA... If you get a decent one (cane masters... just one option), you have 3 additional feet of reach, and with a minimal amount of practice... you can wield it with effect. Suggest reading the book "When Violence is the Answer".

    You're great at coming up with your titles. I had to click on this one... and I noticed that thumbnail last week too. She jumped out at the eye.
    It's weird having to code our discussions about things that SHOULD be able to be openly spoken about. Feels like we live in a country where speech isn't free.

      thanks. My titles and thumbnails used to be all I needed before the first Ad-pocalypse many years ago.
      and yeah that is definitely what it feels like. And since saying certain things costs us ad revenue, that speech is not free in the most literal sense.

      I definitely feel the thumb down on my channel too. It's an almost weekly event that some long-time active subscriber emails to tell me that they had been unsubscribed from me and had to resub. I hear that a lot, and that's only the ones who think to tell me, and of those, they're only the ones that even notice. UA-cam definitely has some sort of active program to push down channels like yours and mine. What's weird (to me) is that there seem to be plenty of similar prepping channels that are doing just fine for some reason. It's all a bit hard to figure out.@@TheLordHumungus

      UA-cam is a private business, they can restrict whatever they want.

    • @PraxisPrepper
      @PraxisPrepper Рік тому

      You're right, UA-cam can and should be able to do what they wish with their platforms. And Eric and I are private individuals. We can dislike whatever we want as well. And you can dislike our disliking of the policy of censorship too.
      Disliking something isn't the same thing as suggesting that a thing shouldn't be allowed or be illegal. I think too many people confuse that idea - where they think that because they personally don't like something, that their dislike somehow makes that thing automatically "wrong".@@deluge6479

    I studied Taekwando as a kid and briefly Hopkiedo. I concur. I think front and side kicks would be best. They are the easiest to learn and you dont have to be that flexible unless you are going for the head. A kick to the balls, stomach or rib cage would give you time to bolt.

    Great stuff Enrique! Was with the wife out and about in downtown last year. We passed this methed out homeless guy who was mumbling shit to us. We ignored him and carried on but I went to look back at him and the crazy bastard was charging at us with a skateboard held over his head! Fortunately flashing the heat was enough to engage his brain. That fruitcake closed the distance on us fast!

    I try to keep my force multiplier in my pants until the need arises, but I'm pretty sure I can get it out and put it to judicious use in under 21 feet, unless rocked-boots are deployed.

    • @TheLordHumungus
      @TheLordHumungus  Рік тому +1

      yeah its for sure possible, the "rule" is based on averages. It just takes a lot more speediness than most people would assume. And then you also have to factor in that even if you DO draw and get off 2-3 torso shots, that isn't always enough to take them completely out of the fight.

      @@TheLordHumungus Where you carry and the type of clothing probably makes a big difference. Appendix + untucked shirt works for me, but 21 feet is pretty close and people underestimate the effectiveness of the sharp pointy thing.

    • @TheLordHumungus
      @TheLordHumungus  Рік тому +1

      yeah. the test was done years ago and with duty holsters, probably had some kind of active retention, maybe even snaps or buckles. When I heal enough to get back out to the range I will have to do a test to see if I can make the draw and shots in time from appendix.
      I need to get a shot timer too.

      Obviously you haven't gamed this. There was this reasonably hot chick at our office who was always talking up her gun skills... I challenged her to a test... I can put my hands on your ass before you can shoot me... from 21 feet. She was horribly embarrassed that I grabbed her ass and lifted her off the pavement, in front of a bunch of people... BTW I was at the time 55 Years old (she was 30)... so don't go overselling yourself... game it out with some friends. You might be surprised how fast that distance can be closed... Keep in mind she knew I was coming for her ass, and she really didn't want me to have it... you probably won't have that advantage.

    11:03 Jokes on you, I've trained counters extensively for my inevitable crack fueled knife rampage!
    Good general concepts here. When I went through training some 20 odd years ago, we focused on side stepping and pushing to give us time to draw. The concept being that someone running flat out towards you wouldnt be able to quickly change directions.

    Dude just come out and say what you mean. Maybe it’s easier for me because I simply don’t care on my channel but seriously this is out of hand. Maybe the bigger channels could file a lawsuit against UA-cam for 1@ violations. They simply are NOT a private company, the minute they started selling stocks they are public. This is YOUR CHANNEL. It would be like att saying what you can text to your friends because that’s we are.

    • @TheLordHumungus
      @TheLordHumungus  Рік тому

      oh believe me I get it, its just about wanting you guys and others to actually be able to see it, at all. If the youtube algo is hiding the videos, I might as well just talk to myself in a closet. No point in making them. My plan now is to just try to get people over to Rumble also and release these kinds of videos over there, unrestrained.
      And on UA-cam just the normal prepping and news stuff that they don't have an issue with (yet)
