They really need to make a new version of this game. Maybe giving you more control of your pokemon or maybe one that takes things like terrain into account like the show sometimes does.
TheNotebookDoodle well I know they made a sequel on the n64 sure but it has been awhile and there have been a lot of additional pokemon since then right? Plus they could do a lot more with the game now that they couldn't do with the n64.
gamesmaster35 There's also the Colosseum games for the GC. In my opinion, 2 of the greatest Pokemon games of all time. But Battle Revolution was also good. It's much more like Stadium with just battling and stuff where Colosseum is more adventure and story.
I know I'm commenting on something so long ago (came back for a little blast from the past) but I think the reason for both why they made Alakazam so strong and why people figured Alakazam would be strong is because it's super hard to catch Abra. They're a bit harder to find and you have to catch them with one ball if you don't put them to sleep because the only move they have is teleport. I suppose it was like, at least in the older Pokemon games, when a Pokemon is more difficult to obtain, it's at least meant to be really good. Like with Alakazam where Abra's rare and hard to catch, but you also have to trade Kadabra for it to evolve into Alakazam. Same goes with Dratini and Dragonite.

Who do you think you are not choosing scyther?
Oh gawd.... I remember playing this all the time with my friends when i was like 6 or somethin' Love it so much!!!
Glad Hatter I played this a lot with my little cousin a lot she always had Jiggly puff or all 3 starters
I like how Jon was in the lead by a huge amount, and already wiped out half of Arin's team but suddenly Zapdos sweeps them all.
"Arin is really FUCKING good at pokemon" arin: "dragon is a type yet" *uses thunder on a venusaur* "GENGAR IS SLOW!!!"
*watches Pokemon firered series*
ME: ......yeah Jon?:)
>Gengar's slow
Gengar's as fast as Latios bro. He's faster than Keldeo and Garchomp
Jon: Arin is really good at Pokemon.
Me: Have you seed his playthrough of Firered, Arin is terrable.
Uh.. you do know that the Game Grumps Pokemon FireRed playthrough was uploaded a year and a half after this..
"Arin is really good at Pokemon!"
"GENGAR IS SLOW!"
lel
rhys Hison Fire Red is a game from some time ago, the fact that the series was made later still means that he sucks.
Compared to Jon* Arin is really good at Pokemon.
***** Ye.
I just noticed that the legendary birds names are sequential; ArticUNO, ZapDOS, MolTRES
Bonus Deal!!! 10:36
You're REALLY late to the party
No shit, Sherlock, that's basic Spanish.
Only for the English names
Matthew Amrhein Oh yeah the Japanese names are like: Thunder, Fire, Freezer
Talkin about tiny Venusaur (7:50). Funny how that's a thing now in Let's Go and Pokemon Go
I think Jon sandbagged it at the end so Arin would feel better.
Arin seems to know much more about Pokemon in this video than in the Firered play through. Is he pretending not to know as much in front of Danny?
NO! NO NO NO NO NO NO NO!!! WHY DIDN'T YOU FUCKING USE GENGAR AGAINST ALAKAZAM?DAMMIT JON!
I feel like such a nerd now...
Well Egoraptor tried his Gengar against JonTron's Alakazam and that didn't work out so...
But Arin didn't use Night Shade!
Gabriel Tiller Night shade is a fixed attack move so it wouldn't have mattered
Well shit. I got nothing.
I know that feels bro.
"I had a Kangaskhan for a long time"
"Bless you."
*sighs*
The movesets for these pokemon are completely shit.
***** I remember when I gave my zigzagoon all my HMs. Good times. His name was SLAVE BITCH.
Thats how they balance the higher evolution forms. The weaker forms have better moves to make up for their lower stats.
Gage Wileman Yeah! Where's the Down-B to Up-Air combos?
Was there no flamethrower or fireblast in gen1?
It was also suppose to be decent moveset to encourage players to plug in their own Pokemon game to use their team and not rentals
This is so self aware as a Pokemon game. "they're staring each other down!"
I bet you they played this after playing Nickelodeon Guts.
Arin: C'mon, don't make weed jokes. Danny: SO BACK WHEN I WAS A STONER!
Of course. Jon uses Metronome and gets the ONE. MOVE. IN THE GAME. THAT IS EFFECTIVE AGAINST PSYCHIC. If that ain't hax then I don't know what is :P
Pin Missile was also bug type and in existence, which was weird given that only Jolteon could learn it.
TheEponet And Beedril.
They really need to make a new version of this game. Maybe giving you more control of your pokemon or maybe one that takes things like terrain into account like the show sometimes does.
a Pokemon stadium 2 you mean?
TheNotebookDoodle well I know they made a sequel on the n64 sure but it has been awhile and there have been a lot of additional pokemon since then right? Plus they could do a lot more with the game now that they couldn't do with the n64.
gamesmaster35 There's also the Colosseum games for the GC. In my opinion, 2 of the greatest Pokemon games of all time. But Battle Revolution was also good. It's much more like Stadium with just battling and stuff where Colosseum is more adventure and story.
+gamesmaster35 Look up Pokkenn
+TheNotebookDoodle There already is a pokemon stadium 2
Pokemon Stadium had amazing mini-games, never touched the other parts but the mini-games were just so much fun.
