Remember when Arin said when playing Dark Souls or Bloodbourne (I can't remember which.) "I wish someone would make one of these games that's just like this but colorful and cute." Well he we are.
And he already seems disinterested with it from the get go…

Considering the way Arin is treating the story, even when Dan calls him out on it, I don't think they'll be playing longer than one or two episodes. A shame because I really think Arin would like it for all the character it has. not just the dialogue.
It's such a good game and you can tell the devs put so much heart into it. Really wish they gave it a real chance from the start
So much heart was clearly put into this and Arin is just blasting through the dialogue and burping through the cutscenes. Does he just hate all storytelling? It's so rude.

The worst is they play heavy dialogue games a lot but I agree he was already spamming through dialogue in the first 10 minutes. Makes me sad. This game is awesome
You can tell he came in wanting to hate it. I have no idea why. Barely a few sentences were exchanged and he already started being whiny and sarcastic. Too bad, the game is adorable, guess I'll watch someone else play it instead.
i knew for a 100% fact that arin would get bored and wouldnt read the 2nd paragraph of capsizing stating he needs to use a powerful attack to activate it, and he did not disappoint

It's weird that that tutorial specifically doesn't force you to hold the button down and ensure you're actually reading it like all the others do. It feels like that's a mechanic they put in there specifically for Arin-types.

Arin really is a pokemon that can only remember 4 moves at one time. the moment he picks up a shell hey forgets he can dodge
Dan saying "go get gun..." as a joke is made even funnier by the fact you can give yourself a gun as a shell in this game.
I hope they figure that out, otherwise we’ll b stuck watching as Arin is stuck dieing😅😝

I love how you can see Arin try to skip through all the tutorial slides, only to stop and realize it needs him to hold it. The game literally had to plan around players spamming "a" and missing tutorial beats lol.
I love that the guys didn't realize that the shark is voiced by Michael Reeves.. and he was on The Grumps with them 😂
I like how it's a shark and scared Dan but also has his stereotypical sleazy new yorker voice so it defaulted to him voicing his lines

The entire first half of this video feels like Arin and Dan forgot they're playing a video game, like suddenly around the 22 minute mark they snap back to reality and pretend to care about the game again
It's kind of disheartening too because this game really is a gem

Well, this game is kind of lame so it makes sense. It's just capitalizing on the dark souls' fandom and crab hype. It's a C-grade game at best and an after-school special about pollution at worst.

If anybody else is having trouble with this boss, arin is forgetting there is also a dodge button. You are invincible for a few frames while dodging, much more reliable than the block
He also didnt bother to do any lvl ups before this point at the 2 shell stations

every time Arin ran past Heart Kelps without picking them up or not using one to heal before fighting something, my eye twitched. I wasn't rabid about it but it was a teensy tiny bit irksome. Thankfully these two crack me up regardless so not a huge deal lol I really do hope they play this again with some tips info under thier belts!

I really hope this becomes a series, this game is really well paced and adds a lot of mechanics organically. Its not just trying to be a souls game, its a well refined game that incorporates the setting and environment into the combat in a really satisfying way

i think halfway through, arin forgot that this game is a souls like game, even tho in the first minute he said that this game is a souls like crab game. because a lot of the confusion and failure could be avoided if they're aware they should do all the mechanic of a souls like game, like dodging, locking on to an enemy, drinking estus flask, knowing a that the lobster guy is a boss character that triggers with a cutscene and the arena cage you in

Thought the same for danganronpa. Sure, its not perfect, but there was an actual meaning in everything. Still, if we really want to see appreciation we could just go somewhere else if they do not provide; even if we really wanted *them* to appreciate it :(

Arin, I really wish you paid this game more attention.
I think a lot more thought was put into the plot of this game than Arin thinks. It has a lot of heart and charm and some interesting things to say. I kind of hope they stick with it.

Long story short in the comments: people are really mad that Arin is not invested and seems to be on auto pilot skipping dialogue and not paying attention to anything in the game, missing out on valuable information, and there probably won't be a full series.

At this point it feels like Arin avoiding tutorials is a bit, but I know it's not...
We're 19 minutes in and arin has forgotten he has 3 healing items and has died 5 times ,classic arin Hanson folks 👏👏👏
I believe the reason this game was made is that it came out recently that microplastics mess with hermit crabs brains affecting their judgement. A lot of hermit crabs are choosing to wear things like bottle caps as shells rather than natural ones. Ironically this does kinds help them survive by allowing them to camouflage themselves in piles of trash. I learnt that from scishow

There are a wide varieties of caviar that come from several types of fish, usual of the same genus: "The term caviar can also describe the roe of other species of sturgeon or other fish such as paddlefish, salmon, steelhead, trout, lumpfish, whitefish,[3] or carp.[4]" (I have watched way too much food content...) and there are several varieties that range from expensive to more affordable...
I've seen jars of caviar at the grocery store for not as much as I would think, and I always wondered if it was just really gross caviar
@@bingonight1504 It can be. It super depends on the brand that may just be crossing the very bare minimum to call itself caviar, but there are a decent handful that usually get a lot of reviews that boil it down to being regular deli meat quality. Just requires some careful research.

Got excited given the thumbnail and how fun the devs are on social media, but Arin doesn't seem interested in it beyond shitting on any story again. So if I don't end up finishing this, I'll probably just either get the game myself or watch another dude play it. I love him, but I'm already over it 4 minutes in. RIP.

I play a lot of soulslikes and usually hate everything about grab attacks, from their starting frames and perceived hitbox to the time they take to complete.
This is the only game I have ever played that I made sure to be grabbed by every single boss that had one. Not only are the tells excellent, the animations are so unique, brutal and impactful, I genuinely never felt more excited to see a new death animation.
It's a shame they didn't find the guillotine boss right at the start of the game, it's grab straight up made my jaw drop, and went on to being one of the most iconic moments in the whole game for me.
This game had me pulling my hair at some decisions, mainly over its level design, but the animations alone are enough to make so many triple A studios embarrassed. Your friend is absurdly talented, and if not for them, I would probably never 100% this game.
A real shame Arin is the way he is, I don't think he's gonna appreciate much of his work, but I can tell you right now that I absolutely enjoyed all of his work in this game.
The passion seriously shows, & I was truly blown out of the water (pun intended) with the scope of how good the animations were.

Dan calling out Arin was really appreciated. It seemed like Arin honestly didn't realize how mean-spirited he was acting when trying to be funny. It gives me a little more benefit of the doubt for times like Merry Gear when it seems like he's being shitty to a charming game for no reason. With this context, it seems more likely that he's just trying to be entertaining, and wasn't purposely trying to be dismissive or disrespectful of the game.
One of Arin's strong suits when it comes to comedy is black humor (no, not as in black people), one of the biggest difficulties of black humor is knowing where to draw the line between joking and just being insulting
I'd like to think that if a crab gets enough microplastics it will ascend to godhood, and that's what our apocalypse will be: Giant Enemy Crabs.

Google says-Cavier is expensive because the sturgeon fish is endangered (specifically the Beluga version of the fish). The sturgeon is found in the Caspian and Black seas. There are now companies that farm raise the fish.

My friend and i were JUST talking about the Grubba voice tiday while i was playing ttyd.
I liked the snide voice they gave the lil main character near the beginning. The Grubba voice afterwards was just an inevitability.

Not even 10 minutes of gameplay and Arin sharts on the game while also managing to get himself stuck, jumped by the beginning enemies, and loses everything that he's collected- which was nothing- when all he had to do is run away, it's amazing!! 10/10 peak performance 😂❤
