Had the pleasure of selling a black trd pro tundra to Andrew a couple months back. Dude is super chill, ended up spending about an hour bullshitting with him about driving cars in the Japanese countryside and a trip he took down to Mexico. Andrew is definitely a car guy threw and threw.

I will agree that online is where everything is going. You will still go to the dealership to look at the car but when car shopping it's now look at the inventory online than go to see if the car is still available at the dealership.
Props to these exotic sales guys. I can't figure out how to make a single dollar on a car

Back in 2000, I started divesting and investing in cars. Yes, investing. I'm investing in fun but the collection does appreciate. I didn't divest beyond the risk point. I'm still solvent even with the cars. But, I enjoy the collection more than I enjoyed adding more to my net work. Oddly, I've found the appreciation is similar to what I was doing with stocks and bonds but that's largely due to the aggregate and some outliers.

Are today's cars fast? Sure. They are also heavy and worst of all, numb. Fewer vibrations, much quieter in the cabin, drive by wire steering, power brakes, driver aids out the wazoo and automatic transmission. The things that people consider imperfections today are exactly what made cars of the past more fun to drive. Just because you are tired of hearing this doesn't make it less true.

This is my dream, as well! It gets expensive trying to buy, maintain and insure multiple enthusiast cars.
