The editing is absolutely perfect in this video. They way one person would talk about another, and then it would cut to that person doing exactly what the other said is gold. Well done
Let's be real, it was at least partially scripted. They probably had a list of things to do and to say so they could sync all 3 vids in old Top Gear style. Don't get me wrong, it worked great.
THIS.. is awesome idea, other carspotting vids, yaaay! Lot of potential, like find more project cars than competitors, or looking for specific cars, and who gonna find it first simply wins, competitive carspotting have huuuuge potential on youtube! Its kinda like gaming irl! More of this, please!
I don’t know if this was meant to be done on purpose, but the three of you doing challenges together and your chemistry working together is giving me old top gear vibes. And that is probably the greatest compliment you can get doing a car show!
I'm not even fully done with the video, but this is by far the best video they've done on this channel. Hats off to whoever edited this, the cuts between them making assumptions about each other and then immediately showing they were correct were genuinely hilarious,.
What a great idea. Set a budget and a timeframe to purchase something and then off they go to do all kinds of crazy challenges in their cheap cars ending with a "Stig" setting a fastest lap in each one. Doug, can I be the Stig? :)
As a German i love this kind of Video because it's interesting to see what Expensive Cars are driven in the USA, in this Case San Diego. Here in European Countries Carspotting is insanely huge, and you learn a lot about a City from what is spotted where So please more of this Content! Prost & Cheers from Berchtesgaden in the Bavarian Alps
@@ripperinoo0587 Let me type in english so the most People reading this know what we talk about. I never been to Salzburg more than a drive-through, so can't judge there, but München/Munich and pretty much most big European Cities are filled with Exotics, especially in the Alps and around it. I'm surprised though that Salzburg, of all the Austrian Cities apparently only has G-Classes and no Supercars. I guess i'll check some Carspotting Sites for "Salzburg" and Videos. Maybe you were just unlucky
Love these car spotting videos! Most expensive American car, rarest car, do some night time Beverly Hills and Monterey Car Week spotting. Great stuff and you guys are great together.
I like the idea of a scavenger hunt or car Bingo where you race to find a combo of cars. First person to spot a G-wagon, Miata, & a RHD car or something random of that nature.
Man.. as a a career firefighter/medic I promise a used or new fire truck still in active service would smoke all of these exotic cars in cost that were spotted!
Filipo actually lowkey winning this challenge, double firetruck and some Ford GT. Funny to hear that Doug has an article about his carspotting obsession, San Diego's Carspot Wonderboy. Great stuff.
More of that please, Guys, because.. THIS.. is awesome! Maybe now other carspotting vids? Idk, like find more project cars, than competitors, or looking for specific cars, and who gonna find it first simply wins, competitive carspotting have huuuuge potential on youtube! Its kinda like gaming irl!
What a refreshing take on classic TopGear challenges, seems like you don't need huge budgets to make a very entertaining video. Just 3 hosts working well together and a rather cheap, fun idea.
This was great. Thanks for doing it. Different places in California. Shows us the state from your perspective. Mini road trips to places we might know. Buy a car from Cars and Bids that you think would be ideal. Modify it. Do the challenge. Post the video. Then sell it back on cars and bids after. See who wins. It’s not what you do, it’s how you do it. And here, in this video, you nailed it.
The vibes, the commentary, even the Le Mans start, this screams Top Gear. I have one of two demands; either Kennan, Filippo, and Doug for new Top Gear, or MORE OF THESE CHALLENGES!
Spotting a Morgan +8 was sweet ! Being a FORD Guy from NZ, who likes to mess around on the Ford US Configurator, I got a thrill seeing the Explorer ST and the Maverick behind you at the end there, as we don't have either of them here !!
Fun video. Perhaps make another challenge with multiple categories to find: 1) ugliest car, 2) oldest car, 3) most expensive car. You have to talk to the driver of each car. You’ll need a longer time limit. But it would be fun if proof was interviewing the driver briefly for your video. Keep up the great job. I enjoy your camaraderie.
Great video, more of this. It would be cool to see a roadtrip through south america or something. Also, add commentary to the videos! Adds dynamics to the video, but overall great video!
All 3 are fantastic presentors! I appretiate the fact that you all were talking and speculating during your drive, which made me remember good old Top Gear days. Also huge kudos to the editor(s), you made this super intresting to watch! Great job people!
The editing, the jokes, the concept, this was so much fun! I would love to see more of these top gear style videos! Let the personalities and car knowledge shine!
Please do more car spotting. This was fun to watch, well edited and I think also fun for you guys. The original Doug's Birthday Car Spotting videos are some of my favourite on the channel ever!
This was a blast! More of this with different criteria would be great. Also, I love how Doug can’t stop reviewing quirks and features, even in his own car.
Super entertaining to watch and great editing! For your next challenge you could try a "rarest car" challenge, where you hunt for the most unique or uncommon vehicles on the road. This could include limited edition models, vintage classics etc... It adds a layer of historical and automotive knowledge to your spotting adventures!
This was actually a pretty clever idea for a video. Maybe 90 minutes would've been better as a time limit since you're just sitting at traffic lights for an hour in the US.
Love the timed race component; added a layer of excitement to an already fun challenge! Would love a car toy challenge where you guys take an hour to find/buy a specific toy model of a car (ie Carrera GT)!
Make more of these videos please, I love seeing my beautiful San Diego and especially the coolest cars around...thank you, this video made my day, loved it!!!
I would lile you guys to do this again but with with a Dough score. Rules/categories Cars have to be 100k plus in current market. Most high value for a single car. Most cars spoted. Rarity (production numbers) And total list value (who's spoted collection adds up to the highest value
That is hilarious this video came out today 😂. I live in Colorado Springs and just saw an EQS maybach. Doug being from Colorado will know that is a wild spot. Wild depreciation as well haha
Car Spotting Idea: Spot as many Dead Car Brands (Saab, Mercury, Saturn, etc.) as you can in an hour.
This sounds really fun, actually
Great idea
Oh s*** I just passed a Saturn Vue 😂
YEA
Doug: I spotted the nicest Saab 9-4X on planet earth!

Thought the same thing after the fire truck part lol

This is a waste of our time

100% agree. It made it so entertaining
Agree completely!
Came to the comment section to say the same, glad you already did. Serious props to the editor.
The most entertaining thing 8ve seen in a while.
Let's be real, it was at least partially scripted. They probably had a list of things to do and to say so they could sync all 3 vids in old Top Gear style. Don't get me wrong, it worked great.
The cutting of this video is hilarious 😂. Great stuff.
Carspotting challenge of who can find the oldest car. Must be registered and on the road -- Nothing in a museum or on blocks.
THIS.. is awesome idea, other carspotting vids, yaaay! Lot of potential, like find more project cars than competitors, or looking for specific cars, and who gonna find it first simply wins, competitive carspotting have huuuuge potential on youtube! Its kinda like gaming irl! More of this, please!
Kennan making sure he stops at the Shell station is so perfect.
The editing on this video was top notch!
I thought the same - they're killing it!
Dude Kennan being so giddy was so much fun to watch
I don’t know if this was meant to be done on purpose, but the three of you doing challenges together and your chemistry working together is giving me old top gear vibes. And that is probably the greatest compliment you can get doing a car show!
Love that Doug goes car spotting in a Ford GT
and he parks his car sideways to look cooler
That firetruck would be a contender within 10seconds of driving…
Kennan the type of guy to borrow a friend's car and only put 5 gallons in it
30:12
The fire truck was a Pierce Arrow XT pumper which costs around 650-750k. An aerial ladder or tiller will easily go over 1M.
I thought that lol

Kudos to whoever edited this video, the cuts from one to the other talking about the same thing were perfect!
Best Cars and Bids challenge yet, gives me old Top Gear vibes
Including that graphic of the three cars one over the other at the beginning.
Filippo is like a turtle, he’s taking it slow and steady and one day he’ll win.
😂
I'm not even fully done with the video, but this is by far the best video they've done on this channel. Hats off to whoever edited this, the cuts between them making assumptions about each other and then immediately showing they were correct were genuinely hilarious,.
I love this kind of challenges, very reminiscent of top gear ! You should do episodes with cheap cars (bought on Cars & Bids) like they did
What a great idea. Set a budget and a timeframe to purchase something and then off they go to do all kinds of crazy challenges in their cheap cars ending with a "Stig" setting a fastest lap in each one. Doug, can I be the Stig? :)
filippo saw 2 firetrucks, he really should've just said that and beat both of them and watch them mald
Also the new flyer xn60 articulated bus probably cost about 900k

NO way kennan called that e46 an e39
That stood out to me too.
and he missed an E92 M3 at the entrance
Came here for this comment. He also missed a white Taycan

Also 17:19 the GLE Coupé that he called amg gt… I actually really like Kennan, but come on - how can you miss that up…

Keep these challenge videos coming. I'm loving them!
Love these car spotting videos! Most expensive American car, rarest car, do some night time Beverly Hills and Monterey Car Week spotting. Great stuff and you guys are great together.
next video should be “first to spot a…”
like first to spot a 90’s italian exotic, or a diesel luxury car or some other combination
Doug is still the undefeated champ! You guys should car spot the most rarest you can find. Definitely more car spotting videos.
Did Kennan really call a E46 in the Parking Garage a E39. OMG this can happen to everybody but Kennan xD
Kennan the big BMW fan also failed to call out a red E92 M3 at the entrance right before the E46

This was a really fun watch. I agree with the other commenters that a dead brand spotting challenge would be great!
An easy follow-up to this challenge would be finding the rarest car in terms of how many are still on the road you can find.
that’s a cool idea! what would’ve won that in this video? probably the E55 wagon?

They didn't have to leave garage, just have to had spotted Dougs Carrera GT or Countach 😄

Great stuff.
A car scavenger hunt would be a lot of fun! For example, find a British car, find a Pontiac Aztec, find a $300K + vehicle.
That Urus the Kennan Spotted was a Performante, like $320k-$330k
It's an Urus S. But yes, still worth more than a base Urus.
@@pigeon_spots_cars how can you tell it’s an Urus S vs Performante? Looked just like the launch spec Performante one.
Love the editing! It reminds me of Top Gear. Please keep doing these challenges!
That was a 488 Spider, so MSRP likely over 330K
They are going present value, not msrp
